Story
Meet Ripley fka Panera: Ripley is a 1 year old (as of September 2025) cattle dog / lab / terrier mix (our best guess) that weighs about 37 pounds. She’s an absolute cuddle bug. She is your typical young dog, so she’s extra cute and spunky. She may be small for her breed but is packed with personality! She is a “Velcro dog” who always wants to be attached at the hip, thus earning her the nickname - “Grippy.” Ripley plays hard and cuddles even harder. She is very talkative and will let you know when she wants something or if someone is nearby. She knows sit, down, and has excellent recall skills. Ripley has been through a lot in the short time she’s been on this earth, so it can take some time for her to warm up to someone. She is initially scared of new dogs, animals, and strangers. She does well with slow introductions, but once she trusts you, she’ll be your best companion. Although she has an abundance of great qualities, she would do best as an only pet in a home and no small children. She likes to play with other dogs but doesn’t like to share. Ripley needs an experienced foster or adopter who has time to give her the mental and physical stimulation she needs and knows how to handle resource guarding behaviors.  Ripley is house-trained and crate-trained. We would love for Ripley to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Ripley is up to date on her vaccinations and is spayed. If you are interested in adding this adorable girl into your life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Rascal:  Rascal is a 4 year old Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix that weighs around 41 pounds.  Rascal was rescued from a high kill shelter a day before she was to be euthanized.  Rascal loves attention and is very sweet.  Rascal can be dog selective but has no reaction to cats. We recommend older children because Rascal is energetic and sometimes jumps on you. Overall Rascal is a nice girl...just needs some work and stability. Rascal is house and crate trained but needs some work on her leash walking. Rascal will need a fenced in yard where she can run and a family that is very active and experienced. Rascal will make a great dog in the right home. Rascal is up to date on all her shots and spayed. If you were interested in adopting this sweet girl, please go to our website at charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application. CURRENT  LOCATION: Mississippi, awaiting transport to PA ##2253433##

Story
Meet Fruit by the Foot! This sweet girl may be a little reserved at first, especially with new people, but don’t let her shy nature fool you, once she feels safe, she becomes the most loyal little shadow you could ask for. Fruit by the Foot would do best with a female adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her blossom at her own pace. She came to us as a stray, so her past is a mystery, but her future is full of potential. With patience, kindness, and a calm home, she’ll show you just how loving she can be. If you’re ready to help this gentle girl feel safe and cherished, Fruit by the Foot is ready to steal your heart one step at a time.

She’s not the kind of dog most people would call “fancy,” and she doesn’t need to be. Her beauty lives deeper — in her eyes, in her steady presence, and in the gentle joy that radiates from her heart. If you pause for just a moment and truly look at her, you’ll see it — the quiet grace of a soul that’s pure, loyal, and endlessly loving. Haumea stays right by your side, as if she’s always known that companionship is life’s greatest gift. Her heart is joy in its most honest form. She gives it freely and asks for nothing more than a place to belong. Whoever looks past the surface and chooses this beautiful girl will gain more than a dog — they’ll gain comfort, laughter, and a love so constant it will change their days forever. Adopting Haumea won’t just be a good decision. It will be the best one you ever make.   Please email us at diane@ulpr.org and request an application. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 9, 2025, 1:23 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Macy’s Marvelous Four — Pure Joy and Puppy Charm These four little ones are growing up wrapped in the kind of love every puppy deserves. Their mama, Macy, is a small to medium girl (30 lbs at most), and she is one of the sweetest, quietest, most gentle souls you’ll ever meet. She dotes on her babies with her whole heart — calm, patient, tidy as can be — and her nurturing spirit shows in her puppies. Because they’ve grown up with Macy’s steady love and their favorite two-legged jungle gym (that’s you ), these pups are incredibly socialized, confident, and happy. They’ve never known fear, only safety. They trust people, adore affection, and are learning that life is a wonderful adventure. Full-grown size will depend on who daddy was, but they may end up close to Macy’s size. What we can guarantee is this:   They’ll be loving. They’ll be joyful. They’ll be wonderful family companions. These babies will fit beautifully into almost any home — playful, affectionate, eager to bond, and ready to become someone’s heart for life. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans.
