Story
Atlas is a sweet, energetic 6-month-old Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) who loves people, playtime, and learning new things. He’s fully vaccinated, healthy, crate-trained, and doing excellent with potty training. Why He's Looking for a New Home: We adopted Atlas shortly after losing our first dog, and in our shock and grief, we underestimated how much structure and space a young working breed needs. With small children, three cats, no fenced yard, and a neighborhood with loose dogs, we aren't the right fit for his energy level. He's genuinely a wonderful puppy. We want him in a home where he can truly thrive. We will send him with his vet records, crate, toys, and current food stash. If interested: Please message with a brief overview of your experience, home setup, daily routine, and how you plan to meet his activity needs. We're looking for the best possible match for this sweet boy.

Story
Hey friends! I’m Killogg, a happy, friendly guy who loves everyone. Seriously, I haven’t met a person (or dog!) I didn’t like. I’m the kind of pup who greets you with a wagging tail and a big smile, ready for fun or cuddles, whichever you’re up for! I love to play and have lots of energy for adventures, but I’m also a smart boy who will sit politely for treats (yum!). I’ve met some other dogs here at the shelter, and we’ve gotten along great. I’m pretty easygoing and just want to make friends wherever I go. Bonus news! If I can find a committed adopter or foster, I can catch a ride down to Petco in Huntersville, NC (10017 Biddick Lane, Huntersville NC 28078) on December 18th, 2025 so we can meet in person! If you’d like to know more about me or think I might be your next adventure partner, my team would love to hear from you! Email: ncteam@austinpetsalive.org Phone: (704) 266-3647 to learn more about me. I can’t wait to start our adventures together! Love and tail wags, Killogg

Story
Hey there, I’m Candy Corn! I’m a happy, outgoing guy with a big heart and an even bigger smile! I’ve quickly become a shelter favorite, probably because I love everyone I meet. I enjoy playtime with my toys, going for walks (I’ve got great leash manners!), and hanging out with other dogs. I’m the perfect mix of playful and polite, and I can’t wait to bring joy to my new family. If someone decides to foster or adopt me, I’ll be heading to Huntersville, NC (10017 Biddick Lane, Huntersville NC 28078) on December 18th, 2025. Maybe that’s where we’ll meet! If you are interested in me please email NCteam@austinpetsalive.org or call 704-266-3647.

Story
Meet Theo and Pickle! These two mixed-breed brothers are almost 5 months old and full of that perfect puppy blend of sweetness and play. They adore exploring the world, making new friends, and snuggling up once they’ve had their fill of fun. With their gentle temperaments and joyful energy, they’re the kind of pups who make every day a little brighter. Theo and Pickle are loving, playful, and eager to learn—ready to fit right into a home that will guide them as they grow. They’re confident, happy pups who will thrive with families, singles, or anyone looking for a loyal companion. And while they adore each other, they do not need to be adopted together. Theo and Pickle will be transported to Huntersville, NC in mid-December if they have a committed foster or adopter. If you are interested in fostering or adopting either, please email NCteam@austinpetsalive.org or call 704-266-3647.
