Story
Come and meet your new best friend in Samson! He is a happy, go lucky, very affectionate guy who has never met a stranger! Sampson loves everyone, young and old alike. However, he prefers to be the star of the show as far as pets go. He will do best in a home with no other dogs or cats, as he can get jealous and territorial if he is not the main man. But oh, what a LOVE he is to his people! He needs a family that can cuddle and play with him, and give him lots of attention. Having a yard where he can run around and get out some energy from time to time would be ideal for him as well. We got Samson and another dog from the shelter about the same time, however, they are not getting along. That being said, we are heartbroken to have to rehome Samson, but we feel that that would be best for each of the dogs, so that they can each get the attention and love they deserve. Sampson is middle age (around 7), very healthy, neutered, up-to-date on shots, micro chipped, etc. Come meet Samson!

Story
THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE PET THAT CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO HUNTERSVILLE NC. Hi, I’m Diesel! I’m a gentle sweetheart with the softest heart and the cutest habit, if you sit down near me, I’ll happily roll right over and offer my belly for rubs. It’s my favorite way to say “I trust you.” I love people and thrive on affection. I can be a little shy when meeting other dogs at first, but I warm up with patience and reassurance and do well once I’m comfortable. I did great spending time with Axel another shelter pup and continue to build confidence every day. I’m looking for a loving home where I can feel safe, cherished, and included as part of the family. If you’re searching for a calm, affectionate companion who will soak up every bit of love you give, I might just be your perfect match. I am currently a part of the Direct to Adopt Program in Austin TX. If have a committed adopter or foster, I can be transported to The Shelter Pet Adoption Center inside Petco located in Huntersville, NC (10017 Biddick Lane, Huntersville, NC 28078) on February 12th, 2026. Interested in meeting me or learning more? Please reach out to my team at NCTeam@austinpetsalive.org or call (704) 266-3647.

Story
Hi, I’m Hailey 🐶💛 I’m a 5-year-old calm and gentle girl who really enjoys the simple things in life. I walk nicely on a leash and love getting outside to take in the fresh air, whether it’s a relaxing stroll or just spending time in the sunshine. I also wanted to add that I am housetrained which I know is a huge plus! When my outdoor time is done, I’m more than happy to settle in and cuddle on the couch with you. I’m affectionate without being overwhelming, and I’m great at matching your pace—adventure when it’s time, relaxation when it’s not. I have a peaceful, easygoing personality and would fit beautifully into a home that appreciates a loving companion who’s happy just being by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who enjoys both outdoor time and cozy cuddles, I might just be your girl. 🐾💙 I am currently in a foster home and very much available! If you are interested in meeting me, email ncteam@austinpetsalive.org or call (704) 266-3647.

Story
THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE PET THAT CAN BE TRANSPORTED TO HUNTERSVILLE NC. If you’re lookin’ for a partner-in-crime with more heart than a Texas sunset and enough energy to power a small town, meet Flaca. This spunky, 2-year-old Heeler mix is a West Texas original. At a sturdy 50 lbs, she’s the perfect size for truck rides, trail runs, and everything in between. Flaca has never met a stranger! Whether you’re the mail carrier or a long-lost cousin, she greets everyone like the guest of honor. She’s still working on her "ladylike" manners, though. Sometimes she gets so excited that she tries to jump right into your arms for a hug. We’re working on keeping all four paws on the floor, but you can’t help but love her enthusiasm! Being a young Heeler, Flaca isn’t a couch potato. She’s lookin’ for an active home where "boredom" isn't in the vocabulary. She thrives on a consistent schedule of morning jogs and evening play. Flaca loves a good puzzle! Whether it’s a Kong or a sniff mat, she needs to use that big brain. She’s already mastered "sit" and is eager to learn more commands. She’s the kind of dog who wants to work for you. One of Flaca's best traits? She rarely barks, a bit of a miracle for a herding breed! She’d love a dog buddy to romp with in a backyard, but like any true Texan, she appreciates a polite, slow introduction. Once she knows a fellow pup is a friend, the playtime is endless! Flaca is a loyal companion ready for her "forever" after spending her early days under the big West Texas sky. If you’ve got a sturdy pair of boots and a lot of love, Flaca is ready to fill your life with joy and laughter. Flaca is currently a part of the Direct to Adopt Program in Austin TX. If Flaca has a committed adopter or foster, she can be transported to The Shelter Pet Adoption Center inside Petco located in Huntersville, NC (10017 Biddick Lane, Huntersville, NC 28078) on February 12th, 2026. Story
Rocky’s story began when he was found in a very rural front yard—hungry, alone, but unbelievably sweet from the very first moment. He was taken to the local small town shelter for safety, but an experienced foster took one look at his sweet face and knew this boy needed more than a shekter kennel. She saw something special in him… and she was right. Rocky is a smart and striking 5-month-old Red Heeler mix, about 24 pounds, with the most adorable freckles and an expression that melts hearts instantly. He is affectionate and loves to snuggle just as much as he loves to run and play outside. Rocky enjoys his chew toys and, like most puppies, may occasionally snag a sock or blanket—but he’s doing wonderfully learning what’s his and what’s not. He does great in his crate, is progressing nicely with house training, and is eager to please. He plays well with other dogs and has been around cats in his foster home—curious but respectful, never aggressive. Rocky responds well to gentle verbal correction and truly wants to do the right thing. And when he wakes up? He has the sweetest little yawn that will make you smile every single time. This loving, highly intelligent puppy is ready to grow into a loyal, lifelong companion. If you’re looking for a best friend who will stick by your side for years to come, Rocky may be your perfect match. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to learn more about adopting Rocky. Story
Dodge is a toung, strikingly handsome Blue Heeler/Lab mix with a bright spirit to match his good looks. About one year old and weighing 43 pounds, this mostly black shiny boy has a beautiful gray-speckled chest that gives him a regal, eye-catching look. With longer legs and a slimmer build than a typical Heeler, he carries himself with confidence and athletic grace. Whatever breeds make up his DNA, one thing is certain — Dodge is sweet, playful, and incredibly smart.   Dodge’s story began in the countryside, where he arrived at a rental home alongside a female Heeler mix and their six puppies. When the family couldn’t keep dogs, a cattle dog rescue stepped in to save the puppies, the mama was rehomed, and Dodge found his way to Critter Cavalry Rescue so he could be fully vetted and matched with the perfect home. Still very much a puppy at heart, Dodge brings goofy charm, happy energy, and a love of life wherever he goes. A fenced yard and an active household will help him burn off his enthusiasm and enjoy the adventures he craves.   He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all ages and sizes, is respectful of cats, and would likely be a hit with kids who can keep up with his playful nature. Dodge is learning leash skills quickly and would make an excellent walking partner. He’s eager to learn, quick to please, and happiest when he’s close to his people, watching over them and soaking up attention. With continued training, Dodge is going to be an incredible lifelong companion. If you’re ready for a fun, smart, and loyal sidekick, email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us your city and state. Transport is available from Tennessee to the northeastern states. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 11, 2026, 10:00 pm
