Story
Banjo came to the shelter as a stray after he was found living on the street. He was simply terrified. He hid from us for a few days but slowly came out to play with our other dogs. He loves to play with them! He loves to snuggle at night too. He still can be a little startled when the big human people move around or do loud things, but he is getting more and more trusting. Banjo needs someone who will be patient with him and continue to help him feel safe and comfortable. If he is in a home with children, please help them understand that the trust will be on his terms and they should be patient as well. After some time, he will warm up and make someone a wonderful loyal and little pet. Banjo weighs just 25 lbs and is full grown. He’s still learning to potty outside, but this is mostly because he is afraid to go out still. Patience is key!

Story
Meet Meatball! If happiness came with four legs and a wagging tail, it would be Meatball. This 3-4-year-old Heeler mix weighs about 45-50 pounds and is a goofy, joyful guy who approaches life with 100% enthusiasm. Whether it's time for a walk, a belly rub, or just hanging out with his people, Meatball is all in!His favorite adventures include sniffing every inch of the trail on hikes, chewing on a good bone, and soaking up all the cuddles he can get. He absolutely melts for belly rubs and has the funniest habit of doing a full-on trust fall the second he thinks you're about to pet him. He also flashes the biggest smile when he's getting attention—it's impossible not to smile right back.Meatball is house trained, crate trained, rides perfectly in the car, and is a dream on leash. He's relatively quiet around the house and, after a daily walk or some playtime (plus a quick zoomie session!), he's happy to settle in for snuggles. He's very treat motivated and eager to please, making him a fun companion to continue training with.He absolutely adores people and makes friends instantly. He's done well with children, though his enthusiastic zoomies might make him a better fit for a home with older kids. He's also enjoyed playing with other dogs, but after one serious disagreement with another foster dog, we think he'd be happiest as an only dog or with a carefully matched canine companion.Meatball would thrive with a moderately active family and a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore, since he enjoys wandering if given the chance. He's healthy, affectionate, endlessly entertaining, and ready to bring laughter, love, and plenty of belly-up cuddles to his forever home.If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a goofy personality and a heart as big as his smile, Meatball is ready to meet you!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Agnes, an approximately 8-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix weighing around 35 pounds. This beautiful girl has a gentle soul and is ready to find the loving home she's always deserved. After being found as a stray at a local shelter, Agnes came into rescue, where she was spayed and had several mammary tumors removed. Thankfully, the biopsies came back benign, and she's now healthy and ready for her next chapter.Agnes is a little shy at first and needs time to settle into new surroundings, but once she feels safe, her affectionate personality shines. She's a true Velcro dog who loves being close to her people, following them from room to room, gently asking for cuddles, and giving the sweetest kisses. She is completely house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is crate-trained, although she prefers not to be confined. She enjoys lounging on her trampoline bed, soaking up the sunshine, and would love a securely fenced yard where she can explore at her own pace. Agnes still has plenty of energy and would enjoy daily walks or hikes with her family.Agnes gets along with other dogs but appreciates slow introductions while she builds confidence. She has been cat-tested and couldn't care less about cats. Because she can be timid, she'd do best in a home with older children or adults only. Her ideal family will be home much of the day and willing to give her the patience, love, and reassurance she needs to continue blossoming.Agnes is a truly kind dog without a mean bone in her body. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will happily be by your side through life's everyday moments, Agnes is waiting to meet you.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
