Story
Meet Domino! Everyone needs a Domino in their life.Domino is a 7.5 month-old pup who we believe is a mix of Border Collie and terrier. He's the perfect combination of playful energy and sweet affection. Domino loves to run, wrestle, and play, so he'd thrive in a home with another friendly, confident dog who can be both his playmate and role model. Having a canine companion helps him feel more secure and brings out his fun-loving personality. When meeting new people, Domino can be a little cautious and takes time to warm up. But once you've earned his trust, you will discover the most loyal little shadow - a total cuddle bug who loves nothing more than being close to his people.Domino is potty trained and knows that outside is the place to go. Like any 7.5-month-old puppy, though, he's still learning his manners and will need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him grow into the amazing dog he's meant to be.Domino is looking for a patient family who understands that the best relationships take time to build. If you're willing to let him settle in at his own pace, he'll reward you with endless love, snuggles, and companionship. Could Domino be the missing piece in your family? Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Hi, I'm Willy, a 4-year-old cattle dog! I may not be the kind of guy who rushes into every new situation, but once I get to know you, you'll discover what a loyal and loving companion I am. I'm a Sensitive Soul, which means I appreciate a gentle approach and a little time to feel comfortable when meeting new people or exploring new places. Once I've settled in, my affectionate and mellow personality really shines! I walk nicely on a leash, I'm crate trained, and I enjoy spending time with other dogs. I also like staying active, whether that's joining you on adventures or simply enjoying a nice stroll together. As I continue building my confidence, I'm looking for a patient family who will help me feel safe and loved. In return, I promise to be a devoted best friend who's always happy to be by your side.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 65 Age: 4yrs 0mths 3wks

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. There are legends whispered through the halls of Rome about a gladiator who never sought fame—only freedom. He entered the arena not because he chose the life, but because it was the life given to him. Day after day he faced trials that tested his courage, discipline, and spirit. The crowd saw only a warrior. They never saw the heart beneath the armor. His name is Jazzper. For five and a half years, this noble Australian Shepherd mix has fought battles few could understand. Raised by one family from the time he was a puppy, he learned that people were worth giving his whole heart to. But beyond those familiar walls, the world remained a mystery. New dogs became challengers in an arena he never learned to navigate, leaving him reactive and unsure. Because of this, Jazzper seeks a kingdom where he can reign as the only animal, surrounded by the people he loves most. Yet even the greatest gladiators are not remembered for the battles they lost. They are remembered for the strength they found to keep fighting. Rather than surrender to the weight of his past, Jazzper entered training like a warrior preparing for one final campaign. Under the guidance of a professional trainer, he has mastered basic obedience and continues learning the art of neutrality in public. Each command learned, each calm step forward, is another victory earned through determination—not luck. His discipline is undeniable. He is house-trained, kennel-trained, and muzzle-trained, understanding that true strength comes not from force, but from control. The Emperor himself could ask no more of a champion. Now, at long last… The gates of the arena have opened. The cheers have faded. The battles are over. For the first time in his life, Jazzper is not fighting for survival. He is fighting for something far greater. A home. His greatest victory will never be won before thousands in a roaring coliseum. It will be found in quiet mornings, long hikes beside his favorite person, evenings resting at their feet, and the simple peace of knowing he finally belongs. As a herding breed, his mind craves purpose as much as his heart craves connection. Adventure, continued training, and shared experiences are the life he was born to live. Jazzper’s future family will be experienced, patient, and willing to continue his journey with a trainer who understands reactive herding dogs. He should live in a home without children under 12, where consistency and structure will help this legendary warrior continue to flourish. Every gladiator dreams of earning his freedom. But freedom means little without somewhere to go. Jazzper has earned his. Now all he asks is for someone waiting beyond the arena gates to welcome him home—not as a fighter, not as a project, but as family. Thanks to the generosity of a kind sponsor, Jazzper’s adoption fee has been cut in half. Once an application is approved, his foster mom would be honored to share more about his sponsorship and answer any questions. The greatest legends do not end with one final battle. They end with the hero finding the home he has always deserved. Perhaps that home is yours. Story
Yoshi is a really sweet dog. She wouldn’t hurt a fly, has endless love to give, and loves to play. She’s 6 years old as of 6/1/26. She struggled with epilepsy when she was a puppy but has now gone over 4 years without any seizures. Yoshi is about 95% deaf from birth. She can hear really loud sounds like other dogs barking close, or pots and pans clinging together.Yoshi is a master at reading body language and we communicate everything we need through hand gestures, which she responds to really well. She loves playing fetch at the park, playing hide and find the treat, hiking, and snuggling before bed. She’s kennel trained and has no problem spending time alone while we’re at work.

Story
💔 Looking for the perfect home for Pepper 💔 This is by far one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to make. After a lot of tears and trying everything we can, we’ve made the heartbreaking decision to find a new home for Pepper. Our kids’ allergies have continued to get worse, and keeping him separated downstairs isn’t fair to him. He deserves so much more than that. We adopted Pepper about 2 years ago, and he has been such a special part of our family ever since. He is a big Australian Shepherd mix with an even bigger heart. He is incredibly sweet, loving, loyal, and just wants to be with his people. 🐾 Australian Shepherd mix 🐾 Not neutered 🐾 Large dog 🐾 Very affectionate
