Story
Meet Blue Cheese, a 3-year-old, 55lb terrier mix with the most striking light blue eyes to compliment her spots! She is sweet and affectionate and loves to snuggle on the couch. She is very eager to please. She enjoys daily walks, chasing squirrels, and rolling in the grass and she would apparently prefer to turn into Green Cheese - rolling in fresh cut grass is her specialty, but she also loves napping. She is quiet in her crate at night, but may show her disappointment vocally if crated during the day (she settles down within minutes though), is house-trained, loves playing chase or running zoomies and is highly food-motivated. She needs an active owner, preferably with another playful dog. She is working on her leash reactivity manners and fear of getting in cars. She is highly food-motivated and is eager to learn (and please), though she is still currently working on her basic commands. Cats are probably a no go for this gal. Blue Cheese is a charming, food-motivated companion ready for a loving home that can provide consistency and fun adventures. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Aries, a 1-year-old beautiful girl with the most striking blue eyes! Aries has the sweetest personality. She loves everyone she meets, getting cuddles and gentle belly rubs, and she will give you lots of kisses in return! She gets along well with other dogs, big and small. She has no mean bones in her body and she is good with cats as well (as long as they don’t mind her sniffing!). She is usually very quiet, submissive, house-trained, crate-trained, rides well in a car, and has no destructive habits or separation anxiety. She is the perfect blend of easy going playful! When it’s adventure time, she’ll jump right in the car and she enjoys playing with her doggie friends, running, exploring, and playing fetch in the backyard. When it is time to come inside, all you have to do is call her name or whistle, and she will come instantly. She will just hang out by your side and curl up on her dog bed and take a peaceful nap. If you’re looking for a young, playful dog who is also incredibly well-behaved and respectful of your schedule, Aries is the perfect dog for you! Story
Korra is a 7 year old Heeler/Border Collie mix that has already had two homes in her life. She lived her first two years of life with a man in the military who dropped her off at the shelter when he was deployed. She lived her past 5 years with a family in Utah who adopted her from the shelter but decided they no longer wanted the responsibility of a dog... despite how low maintenance Korra is! Korra is now with our rescue in SLC, Utah waiting for a truly deserving family to notice her and love her unconditionally. Korra is wonderful with children and humans. A total love bug who enjoys belly rubs and couch cuddles. She is seven years old but absolutely loves adventures like walks in the neighborhood, hikes or car rides. She is such a perfect companion. She has a gentle demeanor and does the cutest little woofs when she wants to play! Korra has never spent time around dogs and has gotten along with some here at the rescue on walks but it is still unclear how she would do living with another pup in the same home. Please reach out only if you can provide Korra with a loving home for the rest of her life. She deserves it!
