Story
Blu was adopted from an animal shelter in the Bay Area when she was a three-month old puppy. Blu is five years old. She is a very friendly and loving dog to our family. Blu would thrive with an experienced dog owner who can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. She is in great physical shape and has no major medical issues we are aware of. What's great about Blu: - She potty trained and great in the car - She is very smart and loves most people - She is very trainable and knows several tricks (sit, stay, shake, down, roll over, spin) - She is a great hiking/biking companion What's challenging about Blu: - She has separation anxiety - She does not like to be in a crate - She requires a lot of exercise - She has trouble with dogs she does not know (usually while leashed) We have made the difficult decision to re-home Blu because we have a baby and have busy work schedules and cant give Blu the time/training/attention she needs. Our priority is to find Blu a loving home.

Story
Hopper is a 23 month Blue Merle purchased from from diamondk5. He currently resides with me and my 8-yr old daughter who is with me 50% of the time in our home in Pleasant Hill, CA He is highly intelligent and eager to learn. He is loyal to the core and loves his people deeply. He is playful with other dogs, good with children. Talk to any of his caretakers and you will hear nothing but glowing praise. He thrives in an active household with plenty of structure and mental/physical stimulation. Hopper has had two isolated incidents of resource guarding that led to biting (4.5 months and 22 months), which as led me here. He would do best in a home experienced with working breeds or resource guarding and are committed to setting him up for success with continued training and boundaries. Happy to provide more details on behavior. If you think you can give him the safety/stability he deserves, please reach out.

Story
Australian Shepherd Mix Age: 2 yr old Female, Spayed 32 lbs Adoption Fee: $125 (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations) We pulled Sage from the Stockton Shelter over a year and a half ago. She was just 3 months old and had been hit by a car. Both hips were in very bad shape. The side that took the impact was not salvageable (and the decision was to amputate that leg). The other side wasn't much better, but our vet thought that because she was young, the hip may "heal" enough on its own to be usable - and it appears that it did - because she definitely uses that leg like nothing ever happened. One of the families that nursed her back to health decided that they wanted to adopt her. Unfortunately, we probably "dropped the ball" on her adoption. We were so thrilled to find a home for a disabled dog, that we didn't focus enough on her breed - a working/herding Australian Shepherd (no matter how many legs she has). In hindsight, the family that adopted her wasn't the best fit for her needs, and they rightfully returned her. Sage needs LOTS of exercise. In an urban setting this means brisk walks/runs, frequent visits to a large space dog park. She is also very smart and needs mentally stimulating activities. This breed doesn't do well with routine long periods of confinement (like a crate or small room). She would do well with other dogs similar to her breed who can set a good example for her. She has spent a couple days at the adoption center with lots of other dogs showing her how to be friendly with visitors to the dog area. She did well. On days that we didn't have a lot of dogs there, she was more weary of strangers that came into the adoption center - she could use some more socialization. Ideally, we would love to find her a rural setting, where she had lots of outdoor space and with other herding breed dogs, but unfortunately, that would probably too much to ask for. Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13. For more information about Sage, contact: nobodysperfektdogs@gmail.com

Pongo is a real ball of energy, with enough enthusiasm to keep you going all day long. Due to his excitement, Pongo can be a little mouthy at times, so you might want to invest in some sturdy chew toys! Despite his playful nature, Pongo is also one smart cookie. He's always eager to learn new tricks and commands, and with the right training, he's sure to be the top dog in no time. However, it's worth noting that Pongo may need some extra guidance when it comes to being around kids. He's still learning the ropes, but with patience and lots of treats, he'll be the perfect family pet in no time. Please call 707-459-4900 if you would like to meet Pongo.
