Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 1 year old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children. Merlin has the potential to be an amazing companion, he just needs someone who will give him the time he needs to adjust

Giselle Paris was adopted in Feb 2019. She has been a wonderful addition to our family and is full of love and personality. We had another dog when we got her and it took them about a year to adjust to being together, but has been mostly without incident unless food has been involved. There have been a few occasions when the dogs have become aggressive with each other when food has been involved. Giselle (Gelly) has only even been aggressive when prompted- food, come at, yanking her hair while brushing, etc- very normal situational things. We have gone years without incident, but as she has aged she’s gotten a bit more then we can handle with a toddler in the home as well. Gelly is a sweetheart who loves with her entire heart and soul, she comforts you when you’re upset, she protects you from thunder and the mailman. She is VERY food motivated. Her birthday is 7/1/2018, she is up to date all on things, she does take anxiety meds once daily. She needs a home where she is the only dog.
