Rowdy is stunningly beautiful and such a loving, easy-going guy. Anyone who meets him will fall in love with him. ⚠️ 🛑 Don't say we didn't warn ya! 🛑 ⚠️ He is a 2-year-old, under-40-pound Australian Shepherd with a luscious coat and gorgeous markings. Rowdy doesn’t quite live up to his name, because he is chill and adaptable – not at all a disruptive type. His foster family says he can be happy absolutely anywhere and will get along with anyone he meets. He comes when he’s called, and he knows sit and shake. He walks well on a leash, so you can pal around at home or around town. He peps up for playtime and likes to chase the ball, fling around a stuffie or settle in with a yummy chew toy. Pretty much, he likes whatever is going on and whomever he is with. He gets along well with other friendly dogs, and most of the time he listens to his people. There are some times he might not agree with your decision-making – like, when you have to go inside and do boring work when it’s a perfectly lovely day outside – but he’ll eventually relent and do what he is supposed to. Rowdy is just a wonderful dog buddy who wants to enjoy life with the people he loves. Could those people be you? He is a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, and is typical of this wonderful breed, looking for action and intellectual stimulation. He weighs about 60 pounds. Tyson is well trained and knows tons of commands, including: sit, stay, lay down and shake. He is also responsive to whistles, and he will wait until his command to eat his food. He walks fine on a leash and is crate trained and house trained. Show him or teach him what else you would like him to do, and he’ll be all about it. Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 1 year old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children. Merlin has the potential to be an amazing companion, he just needs someone who will give him the time he needs to adjust

Josie was adopted over a year ago at Wayside Waifs, she is a 2 year old Australian shepherd mix (possibly blue heeler). She is a very sweet girl who’s really affectionate/ outgoing and loves people. She loves to burn off energy by going on walks and doing enrichment activities, unfortunately we are not able to home as much to give her all the attention and care she needs and are looking to find her a loving home and that can give her the best life possible!

Jamie is a very sweet and snuggly girl! She has really bad anxiety and because of that she barks a ton and chews on anything she can get her paws on. She doesn’t like being left alone for more than a few hours. Very playful and a lot of crazy mixed in- she likes to wrestle with dogs her size, so she can get a little much at times with that and her bark. At the moment she’s in the kennel a lot more than I’d like her to be, but unfortunately have made the decision to try and find a new loving home for her, where she can run, play, snuggle, etc. I got her from a shelter in Oklahoma in August of 2025 and she is about to be two in August of 2026. She needs someone who can be there with her a lot to play and probably go on walks. I also have been wanting to get her into obedience classes, but don’t have the funds at the moment to get her in. My work schedule doesn’t allow for me to be home very much in the evenings and late nights, same as my parents schedules as well. Any concerns?

Before several weeks ago, the inside of a house was like a foreign land to Willow Ivy. She didn’t know what household objects were, nor what it even meant to be inside with people. 🌎 🌎 Now, our pretty girl has experienced the good life, where she’s never too cold (or too hot), food and water are in plentiful supply, and the beds are oh-so-comfy. She has also finally imprinted with some people and is getting the hang of the idea that people are there to help her and support her. Welcome to the rest of your life, Willow Ivy! 🌎 🌎 Willow Ivy has also discovered that there’s an outdoor world beyond the confines of a pen. She loves to go on car rides and look out the window. And she totally enjoys walks along quiet neighborhood trails or parks. It has taken her a while to reach this point, and likely when she’s adopted, she’ll need time and space to arrive here again, with her furever people. What we know for sure is that she is smart and really darn sweet. She is desperate to please her people, as she balances that with learning that the world doesn’t have to be a scary place. Toys are new to her, but those squeaky ones and puzzles are pretty fun – and getting a treat from inside of a Kong is tasty and happy! She will need time, like possibly weeks, to warm up to the people in her life, but it will happen in a quiet home. She gets along with other dogs, but she still hasn’t consistently grasped how to handle her dog relationships alongside her people relationships. So, she would do best in a home with a very laid-back dog(s) who she won’t feel like she’s competing with. Or a life as an only dog would be just as well. 🐾❤️ Willow Ivy is 3 years old, and she’s a 30-pound Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is house trained and crate trained. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. Story
Riley was adopted locally in 2017. She had always been the sweetest pup that loves to constantly lean in close for unending pets. As our family has grown she has been there every step of the way, becoming our child’s best friend. Unfortunately, since moving into our current home Riley has suffered from allergies that have given her constant pain. She has also recently, according to a Vet, suffered an injury equivalent to an ACL tear in her back right leg. Lastly, due to a botched spay from when she was a puppy she now has trouble with urinating in our home. She is house trained but because of her age and inability to control her bladder she has frequent accidents in the home. The need to re-home Riley does not come easy but due to our current financial situation we cannot provide her with the care she needs and deserves. We are looking for someone to love her the same way we do and provide her with the proper care. We hope she can live her remaining years pain free and with love.
