Story
Hiro, is an 8 year old male australian shepherd. I rescued him 3 years ago in the mountains of Utah. Tracked down his owner and decided to keep him. He loves to play fetch non stop. He thinks he is a lap dog when being petted. He is good with kids. They like to carry the ball or toy around and have Hiro follow them. We are only rehoming him because he has become to dominate over our Black Lab. He will make a good one dog family or if you able to train him with other dogs.

Story
Please read bio before applying! Meet Merlin. This young man has had a rough go of it at just 1 year old. Merlin came to us as a commercial breeder release and when we got him at 6 months old, he had never been handled by humans. As a result, he is very distrusting of humans and requires a lot of patience and time to adjust to new people. Merlin is very dog friendly and because he is more comfortable with dogs than humans, we are requiring that he go to a home with at least one other canine. This will help set him up for success. He will also need a home with a secure fenced in yard, as he can be a bit of a flight risk, and he will need a home with no small children. Merlin has the potential to be an amazing companion, he just needs someone who will give him the time he needs to adjust

4 month old Bronx is a smart, friendly boy who loves to explore, is eager to please and gives great kisses! Story
Approx. DOB: 3/24/24                Approx. Weight: 45 Lb Adoption Fee: $250 includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness!     We do NOT know what breeds Winnie has in her and can only guess by her coloring and looks plus personality! We have never seen her parents! Winnie is so gorgeous with her orangeish color fur. It's so thick and in great shape. Winnie is young and full of life. She loves to chase the other dogs in the group to play tag or just to see who the fastest runner is. We haven't witnessed any dominance or aggressiveness towards any of the other dogs. Winnie can be overwhelming to dogs 10pds or smaller if they are submissive. If they are submissive she will chase them and doesn't hurt she just wants to play. Our bossy little 10pd pup will snap at her when he is tired of playing and she respects that and leaves him alone. Winnie isn't aggressive towards any dogs.     She listens really well but being young you need to be firm in your voice. Winnie would be thrilled to go to obedience classes. We are still learning more about her everyday and from what we have learned so far she is going to make a terrific companion for some lucky family.  Winnie hates to be crated but will settle down after about 20 minutes. She will pace until then. She is HOUSEBROKEN !!! Winnie absolutely loves to snuggle any time any day and she gives the best hugs. We are working on not jumping up on people but right now she wants to do that to give everybody hugs.  Winnie will be a great companion to any home looking for a playful, fun, active and extra loving and affectionate dog. Give this beauty a chance and get your application in today! I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. To learn more about Willy please contact The Pet Connection by call or text- 913-671-PETS (7387).
