She's quickly learning love and trust. She's discovering the fun of squeak toys, the joy of playing with other dogs, and the comfort of a house. Tori is ready for a place to call home. Tori loves kids and gets along with dogs of all sizes. She's curious about cats; her foster home has several. Story
Sweet young Australian Shepherd mix looking for her furever home. Smart, happy and loving, this pretty girl was found in the city. She knows her name, uses the dog door and appears to be house trained. She knows "no," sit and will shake with both paws. She's learning not to charge the door and how to walk on a leash. She is friendly with the resident cat and dog, and rides quietly in the car. Apparently unfortunate circumstances didn't allow a former family to keep her. Ellie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative) and current on all preventions. She is a delightful dog and would be a great addition to an active family.

Approx. DOB: 5/5/18                Approx. Weight: 69 Lbs Adoption Fee: $ 225   includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! We are not sure what Diamond is. The vet clinic listed as a Bearded Collie, however on the surrender form it said Sheepdog/ Australian Shepherd.  Whatever she is, she is definitely a beauty! Diamond would do best in a home where her humans are home more than not. She does have some separation anxiety. She will whine when you first put her in the crate but I tell her it's bedtime and she settles in. I think her having another dog in her new family will also help any anxiety she may feel being left alone during the day. She does well with the other dogs in her foster home and has had no issues with any of them. However, she has been returned 2x now due to having separation anxiety and for having a tussle with the other dog in the home (both females). She definitely enjoys her humans and lights up when you return. She originally came from a family with children and did well with our volunteers daughter (11 yrs). She will need a dog savvy owner. Diamond absolutely loves going for car rides and she loves going on walks. Are you looking for a walking or jogging buddy you have found her! Diamond is going to make some lucky family a wonderful companion. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is very well behaved in the home. And just look at those beautiful blue eyes she has!  I have been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting me, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.   Furry Kids' Refuge is in need of good quality dog and puppy food with meat as the first ingredient.  You can drop off donations at our weekly adoption events at the Lee's Summit Petco (1860 NW Chipman Road, Lee's Summit, MO), Saturdays only from 11am to 2:00 p.m.  Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Would you like to foster a Furry Kid? Furry Kids' Refuge will supply the food & vet care while you supply the basic house rules & love.......win-win for all!!  Just visit our website http://www.furrykidsrefuge.org/category/fostering/  for more information. Thanks for your support! Wally was dumped in a small town along with his sister. He is a happy and joyful pup and loves to play.    Wally has some medical issues with his back and hind leg. Radiographs showed a lumbar vertebral malformation.  He will need to be on joint supplements for life.  He also experienced a seizure and it is possible he could have more but at this time only one has been witnessed by his foster. Wally's medical issues do not slow him down,  He acts like a normal puppy, playful, loving and a zest for life!  Puppies are NOT housebroken and should not be expected to wait more than 1 hour for each month of age to go out to potty. Please make sure that you have a “potty plan” in place if considering adoption. All of our puppies have been spay/neuter, wormed, microchipped, and given age appropriate vaccinations. Story
Hi friends! My name is Willy. I'm a border collie mix of sorts and quite handsome if I do say so myself. I'm a bit of a special dog, a real shy guy, but if someone would just give me a chance I will make a great companion. I love other dogs, as long as they're friendly, and I absolutely must go to a home with another friendly dog or two to show me I'm in a safe place. We all need some reassurance sometimes, right? I also need a fenced yard. Whoever my new owner is will need to be able to give me lots of time and space to feel comfortable with them. I'm a really good boy, I'm crate trained and house broken, but until I get used to you I'm gonna need you to keep your paws to yourself. I promise it's not personal, and you'll see I'm worth the wait! Willy is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. He's located at The Pet Connection Sanctuary in Beloit, KS, but transportation to the right home may be available. To learn more about Willy please contact The Pet Connection by call or text- 913-671-PETS (7387).
