If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, then Joey is your guy. We think this gorgeous, tricolor male could be a cross between an Australian Shepard and an English Shepard, both of which are very intelligent breeds. Joey walks well on a leash, even though he pulls a bit, and rides well in a car. Joey gets along well with other dogs and loves to play with the dogs in his foster home. Joey would make a great hiking buddy as he is always ready for an adventure. He was picked up as a stray and is guesstimated to be between 3-5 years old. Due to his activity level, we think he is closer to 3 years old. He was thin when first rescued but has put on over 10 pounds and appears to be at his optimal weight at 46.4 pounds on 3/26/26. Joey has been neutered, is to up to date on vaccinations and is microchipped. Unfortunately, Joey did test positive for heartworms, but the good news is that since he is asymptomatic for heartworms, he is on the slow kill method to eliminate them and he should test negative in a year or two. In the meantime, he can live life normally without any restrictions. Joey is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and being kept on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention to maintain his good health. Joey’s adoption donation is $450 which includes the $165 transport fee. Joey is being fostered in Arkansas. If you would like to adopt Joey, please fill out an adoption application. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application, please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. Cody is an 8-month-old, 40 lb pup who made the long journey from Albania to find his fresh start—and he is making the absolute most of it. This happy, affectionate boy truly adores people. He’s the kind of dog who lights up when he sees you and will gladly soak up all the love and attention you’re willing to give. Cody is great with other dogs and has a playful, fun-loving side. He loves to run, play, and then settle in for some quality snuggle time. He’s well-rounded too—good on leash, rides nicely in the car, and enjoys being out and about just as much as he enjoys being close to his people. My name is Speckles. I am an almost 4 month, 19 lb absolute doll. I am an Aussie/Terrier mix. I have the most magnificent spots on my belly and one of my eyes is just slightly lighter than the other. I am one of four in my litter! Two have been adopted and two to go! I am a lover of all people and kids and dogs! I came from a home where I was only around my siblings and smaller dogs. I just recently met two big dogs in NJ! At first I was a little nervous but now I love them! One of them romps around with me and the other, well, she is a little ornery but I am trying to win her over! I am really smart and understand that I should go potty outside. It's just about being consistent and getting me on a schedule. I am crate trained and sleep overnight peacefully. I love to play with toys and can independently chew and de-fluff! I am spunky but know when it's time to rest and time to play. I will need some intros and practice on that leash thing; I'm positive I will catch on quickly. Story
This handsome fellow and his siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Big boy is a gentle boy but does love to run and play with other dogs. Big boy was the largest of the puppies, but his siblings have caught up to him. He has done amazing with his house and crate training. He is so deserving of a wonderful home to call his own. He is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Please let me know if you have any questions.
