Story
If you would like more information about Angel or are interested in adopting her, please send an email to davidchandler1213@gmail.com Meet Angel – A Sweet Soul Looking for a Calm, Loving Home Angel is a beautiful 9-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love. We adopted her in 2018, and she’s been a loyal companion ever since. She’s house-trained, well-mannered indoors, and happiest when she’s by your side on a peaceful walk or relaxing nearby. Angel thrives in a calm, predictable environment. She hasn’t done well with other dogs, so she’d do best as the only dog in the home. But she gets along well with our cats so it's possible she could adjust to other cats. Her ideal home would be with adults or older children. Although Angel can pull when she sees other dogs, she absolutely loves going for walks and being outdoors. We recently welcomed a baby into our home, and unfortunately, Angel has been showing signs of stress around the baby. This decision has been heartbreaking, but we want to do what’s best for her, and that means finding a home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and loved. Angel is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and in good health. She would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loyal, low-key best friend to share their life with. If you think you could be the right fit for Angel, we’d love to talk with you and arrange a meet and greet. LOVES TO SNUGGLE AND GET OODLES OF ATTENTION  Estimated DOB 3/25/24, weight 40 lbs. This young girl Calliope is very sweet and playful, and has energy to spare!  Her foster home has several dogs and Calliope wants to play -- er -- wrestle with all of them.  She loves to go on walks, meet new people, play with her stuffed animal toys, and snuggle on the couch for movie time. Calliope was abandoned in the parking lot of a PetSmart but fortunately, her future foster mom worked at the store and scooped her right up! Calliope knows Sit and Wait, and likes to sleep in her crate at night.   Calliope would love a home where she can get lots of attention and exercise as well as have a canine brother or sister to play with.  Is that you? HOPE ID D24-1116-0045 Calliope's $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. Story
Sweet puppy Prince is a 20 months old Australian Kelpie, who loves other dogs. He is very well behaved, mild mannered, obedient pup. Prince was found starving and neglected, when our vet tech rescued him to save his life. Prince also got 2 weeks obedience training and his trainer said that he is one of the best pups they have had in their program. Prince loves his chew toys and treats. He is currently living with his best friend Pongo and they are inseparable. We are hoping they can be adopted together but he can be with any pup, he is such a good boy. Prince is 40 lb. He is fully vetted, and neutered. He is also chipped and heartworm negative. His adoption fee includes all his shots (DAPP, Rabies, Bordetella) as well as heartworm test, and neuter surgery, and deworming schedule. Prince is being fostered in Texas, and can travel to any state, and even Canada to the right home. To adopt our puppies, yards must be fully and adequately fenced. We do not accept invisible or electric fences. To meet this sweet pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application form via www.savesomesouls.com Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. If, after meeting a pup, the foster parent or the adoption applicant do not feel they are a good fit for each other, we often offer other pups who are better fit. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank You for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.
