Animal Profile: Maui is a young male Aussie mix who needs good strong leadership and someone with the patience to help him become his best self. He is working on his confidence and leash manners and will need continued training and support. Maui is crate and house trained and currently lives with another dog in his foster home. He is smart and treat motivated, but is just a bit nervous about the world, but we are working on that! Children will be a bit much for this guy and we are looking for an adult only home, preferably outside of the city. He's a beautiful boy with lots of potential! He’s a big, sweet, teddy-bear of a dog with a beautiful coat and looking to be someone’s next adventure buddy! This handsome boy is smart, treat-motivated, and very active. He’ll need an adopter with herding-breed/large dog experience who’s excited to work with him mentally and physically. Stetson enjoys training, loves being with his people, and would thrive in a home that offers daily exercise, structure, and continued training! Stetson does well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine sibling, but he could also do well as an only dog as long as his adopters commit to continued socialization. Poe arrived to us on the thin side, and we’re working on helping him fill out—he’ll gain a bit more strength as he continues to settle in, but he is fully grown. He is very strong, active, and enthusiastic, and can be mouthy and jumpy when excited, so we’re looking for a home with no young children. He does well with other dogs and prefers slow introductions, especially with larger male dogs, and will need proper decompression time after shelter life. Poe would thrive in an active home with herding or working-breed experience—someone who understands the importance of both physical exercise and mental stimulation. Animal Profile: Buddy is a 4.5-year-old Doodle (1/2 Border Collie 1/2 Standard Poodle). He was purchased from a breeder prior to his owners having children. Buddy is a friendly but slightly anxious guy who has not adjusted well to having a toddler in the home. His family invested in a 4-week board and train with a local dog trainer in hopes that it would help Buddy feel more comfortable around small toddlers. Buddy completed his training; he has excellent house and leash manners, is house trained, crate trained; and knows the ‘place’ command. Unfortunately he was still too uncomfortable around the kids after training, and his family decided it was best to find him a new home. Buddy has been trained using balanced methods, including e collar for off leash reliability. Buddy does great at doggy daycare, but does have some resource guarding around food and select toys when it comes to other dogs. While he enjoys his dog friends, we think he’d be happiest as an only dog. Buddy has not lived with cats. Buddy is currently in foster care with a balanced trainer, and doing well. Foster Update: coming soon! Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $550 which includes his neuter, core vaccinations, DPPV, Bordetella, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
