WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌸🐾 Meet Patches — Nearly 9 Years of Pure, Gentle Devotion 🐾🌸 8 years old (Birthday 4/24/17) • ~30 lbs Patches is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be the loudest in the room to be the most special. As she approaches her 9th birthday, she carries herself with the quiet confidence of a girl who knows exactly what she likes in life: A comfy couch. A warm lap (or at least a leg to lean on). And her person nearby. At around 30 pounds, Patches is the perfect “just right” size — big enough to feel substantial when she curls up beside you, small enough to fit perfectly tucked against your side. She is mostly a lap dog… or at least a “pressed firmly against your hip” dog. Personal space? Optional. Warmth and love? Required. She’s fully house trained, has lovely house manners, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes. She’s been living in a home environment and fits right in like she’s always belonged there. Cats don’t bother her one bit — she’s far too dignified to get caught up in that drama. While she doesn’t spend her days bouncing around with toys or leading playgroups, that’s simply because Patches has mastered the art of peaceful companionship. She prefers quality cuddle time over chaos. She’s less “zoomies” and more “let’s sit together and solve the world’s problems.” Given her incredibly sweet and gentle nature, we believe she would do just fine with kind, respectful kiddos who understand that sometimes the best dogs are the calm, snuggly ones. Patches is at that beautiful stage of life where she’s past the puppy antics but still has so much love left to give. She gets excited when you come home, happily settles beside you on the couch, and simply wants to be near her person. No drama. No destruction. Just steady, loyal companionship. If you’re looking for: • A couch buddy • A lap warmer • A loyal shadow • A professional snuggler • A dog who believes every evening should end with cuddles Patches might just be your perfect match. She’s not asking for grand adventures or marathon hikes. She’s asking for love. For consistency. For a soft place to land for her golden years. And in return? She’ll give you the kind of quiet devotion that makes a house feel like home. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give Patches the cozy, love-filled forever she so deserves 💛🐾

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🌾🐾 Meet Emma — The Ranch Girl with the Golden Heart 🐾🌾 3 Years Old • ~70 lbs • Australian Shepherd / Border Collie Mix Emma is the total package — brains, beauty, work ethic, and a heart as big as Texas. At 3 years old and about 70 pounds, this ranch-raised girl comes with real-life experience under her belt. She grew up helping round up goats and cattle, and she takes her responsibilities seriously. If something needs organizing, supervising, or gently guiding in the right direction… Emma is already on it. Due to no fault of her own, she was surrendered to a shelter in a small town and has waited far too long, she’s now finally getting her chance at the life she truly deserves — one filled with love, purpose, and a soft place to land at the end of the day. Emma is incredibly sweet and beautifully mannered. She walks nicely on a leash, is attentive to her people, and genuinely wants to do the right thing. And great news — she is house trained! She’s proven she can handle indoor living just fine, balancing her working-dog roots with polite house manners. Even better? She’s good with other dogs, kids and yes, even cats. Yep — this seasoned herding girl knows how to coexist respectfully with her feline roommates too. That’s what we call versatility. Emma would thrive on a ranch, acreage, or in an active home that enjoys outdoor time. She’d happily: • Help with chores • Monitor the yard • Supervise kids • Inspect deliveries But she’s not all business. Once the “workday” is done, she’s more than happy to relax nearby, soaking up affection and enjoying being part of the family. She bonds deeply and loves having her people close. Emma would love: • Daily exercise and mental stimulation • A job, even if it’s just “Official Backyard Supervisor” • A family who values a smart, loyal companion • A home where she’s included and appreciated She’s steady. Devoted. Capable. And ready to trade her waiting days for forever ones. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, ranch-savvy best friend who can work hard, live politely indoors, respect the cats, and love you wholeheartedly — Emma is ready to clock in permanently. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and give this deserving girl the forever home she’s been waiting for 💛🐾

Story
Animal Information: Bernie and Bianca were born on 11/19/2025 and came to a Bakersfield, California shelter with their mom, dad, and littermates. The whole family caught a freedom ride to Washington, where our rescue partner reached out for help placing some of the puppies. Mom and Dad are beautiful, purebred Australian Shepherds with wonderful temperaments and engaging personalities. Bernie and Bianca are already showing the intelligence and drive typical of their breed. These pups will thrive in active homes, ideally with adopters who have herding breed experience (or a strong interest in learning) and a commitment to training, mental stimulation, and enrichment. With the right guidance, they’ll make incredible companions. Foster Profile:  Bernie is a bright and busy Australian Shepherd puppy who is quick to respond when called. He is smart and a bit of an escape artist. Bernie loves to play ball and he'll chase again and again.  After a good play he's content to settle down and chill. His potty training is still a work in progress. With about 50% of his business happening outdoors, he's right on track for his age, and it shows he’s trying. With positive, consistent training, he’ll continue to improve.  Bernie would thrive in an active home that enjoys playtime, mental stimulation, and helping a clever puppy grow into an amazing companion. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, heartworm test if indicated, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).  Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Forever Home Dog Rescue in Edmonds, WA. Arriving in foster care 01/28/26. He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm

She is only 11 weeks old and 5.5 lbs but what she is missing in size she makes up for in grit, love and determination. Her favorite pass time is playing with my resident Cleo. She seems to understand it's good to potty outside but potty training is a work in progress. We have greatly reduced accidents with scheduled potty breaks. We are also working on kennel training. She does great at night with a cover over the crate sleeps through the night, but needs work on being in her crate during the day. It's getting better with patience. She loves snuggle time, and I make sure to give her an hour every night before crate time. She is oure love, pure energy and pure aussie. Smart and eager to learn. Definitely a keeper. Story
Animal Profile: Maui's ideal home will have a balanced dog that can show him the world isn't such a scary place. A big bonus would be if the dog is willing to play. He has no resource guarding tendencies, and respects when other dogs establish boundaries. He will thrive under strong leadership, with an active family committed to continuing his training. Previous experience with anxious dogs is preferred. Maui is a goofy young boy who is equal parts klutz and weighted blanket. He is still a little unsure about the world, and we are working on building up his confidence—he has come a long way. He takes his time warming up to strangers, but once he does he will melt onto the ground for belly rubs. He is eager to please, and highly motivated by both food and affection. He doesn't have a lot of body awareness, and will often bump into furniture or people. His exuberance might be a little much for young children, but dog-savvy kids would be ok. He has spent time with a 20 month old toddler, and showed no aggression despite being climbed on and grabbed. His crate is his safe space, and he enjoys retreating there when he's overwhelmed or tired. Maui will be up for as much activity as you would like to take him, and might get some zoomies if not walked sufficiently—two 30 min walks a day would be sufficient. He can be reactive to dogs on leash, but responds well to training so far. He also loves to play with toys—fetch and tug are his favourite games. He is not destructive, and has never had an accident in his time here. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: March 7, 2026, 12:47 pm
