WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Chonq - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! 🐾 Meet Chonq – Ball Enthusiast. Kiss Distributor. Certified Good Boy. Breed: 50% Australian Shepherd, 50% Pit Bull, 100% Love Age: Turning 9 on June 25th, but don’t tell him—he thinks he’s still 3 Weight: A sturdy 66 lbs of snuggly muscle Chonq is the kind of dog who makes you believe in soulmates with fur. He’s housebroken, loyal, smart, and knows that fetch is not a game—it’s a way of life. He will run like a gazelle (a surprisingly fast, wiggly gazelle) after any ball you throw, and bring it back with a look that says, “Again. Immediately.” Raised with love, adventure, and a strong Kong toy game, Chonq was adopted as a tiny pup by his dad and lived a nomadic life of action adventure on the road.  His dad adored him and gave him a life full of hikes, cuddles, toys, and swimming pool cannonballs. Sadly, Chonq lost his person last year to suicide, and while he’s been staying with family, he’s now searching for a forever home—one where his heart, paws, and tennis balls can all rest easy. Ideal Home: Active human(s) who love walks, adventures, and playing fetch until your arm falls off Bonus points if you have a pool—this boy lives for swimming Someone who doesn’t mind kisses… because he’s generous with them Personality Highlights: Sweet, silly, and full of love Will wait patiently if left home alone and won’t chew, shred, or protest Prances like a deer when he’s hunting for his ball 🦌 Gives kisses like it’s his job (and he’s employee of the month, every month) Chonq's Must-Haves: Heavy-duty toys only (he’s been known to obliterate lesser toys with joyful enthusiasm) Room to run and stretch those legs (this guy moves like he’s chasing Olympic gold) Someone who wants a best friend, not just a dog Good with: ✅ Dogs ✅ Cats ✅ Kids If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a goofy smile, and a heart of gold Chonq is your guy. His bags are packed (with Kong toys and dreams of belly rubs). Are you his forever? If Chonq seems like the perfect fit for you and your lifestyle just stop scrolling and fill out his adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org

Story
We are seeking out a new home for our Teddy. Teddy needs to go to a home with no children and plenty of safe space to play. Teddy has been leash reactive and reactive towards younger kids since bringing him home at 10 wks. We have tried board and train and reactive dog training and multiple anti-anxiety medications with little to no improvements. He is amazing at home with his humans and is great with adult house guests as well. His most favorite companions are his black lab brother and his teenage human brother. He does well at boarding when out in the yard with the other big dogs but when on leash or through a fence is very reactive. This makes him extremely difficult to walk or exercise outside of our home. He is very smart, knows lots of commands and is great listener while on leash UNTIL another dog or kids pass by. Recently Teddy escaped out the front door and nipped(breaking skin) a neighbor child. Teddy is a good boy at heart, he just needs the space and safety to show it.

Story
Crosby is a friendly, playful dog who loves fetch, a sprinkler, a good long walk (or run), and scratches on his ears or just above his tail. He is very smart and will happily obey a command, especially if a treat is involved. He is protective of his family and likes to be in the front of the line when walking. He even came and got our attention when a curious Penny (his 'sister') found her way under the gap of a fence at a friend's house. He will let you know when he needs to go outside and when he's ready to come back in. If he could play fetch for 15 minutes a day, go on an occasional walk and then sleep the rest of the time away on the living room floor, he is very happy. He's slowing down a bit, but can still outrun my kids. Please consider adopting his companion Penny; we would like them to stay together is possible. Thank you

Story
Penny is truly a companion dog; we joke that she like Ariel, "I want to be where the people are..." If you're outside, she wants to be outside, but if you're not, neither is she. Fetch isn't her favorite game, but she loves to run alongside Crosby (her 'brother') if she can have a ball in her mouth- otherwise she just wants to take it from him like a little 'sister' would. She loves a chew toy and can jump like a mountain goat. Penny loves to snuggle and give kisses and would all day if you let her. Please consider adopting her companion Crosby as well; we are hoping they can stay together if possible. Thank you

Story
Meet Cody! I am in the heartbreaking situation needing to rehome my beautiful dog that I fostered. Please help! Cody is 5 years old, Australian retriever/Lab mix, and 75 lbs. He is a very sweet, intelligent, and friendly dog! I was only supposed to foster him, but my friend moved so could not take him back. We fell in love with Cody, but I am gone 14 hour days, and travel too frequently for work to give him the stability he deserves. I just got a travel job so I need to find his perfect forever home! 🙏 Ideally looking for someone who works from home (or part-time job), or retired, with the time to walk with Cody 2x a day and practice his tricks. He is used to being the only pet, so looking for a forever home with no pets, or small children- as he is less anxious and more relaxed in this environment. He is very smart, cuddles, listens, and does not run away. Completed dog training, fully vaccinated, up to date Vet, comes with everything you need! Please meet Cody ❤️
