Story
Meet a timid lady Jinhee🩷 Jinhee was abandoned by a foreign worker. She used to hide in fear just from the sight of people’s hands. Even though she was facing the risk of euthanasia since she wasn’t used to being around humans, she's getting better now thanks to her foster family. Thanks to her foster who was understanding and patient for Jinhee, she now plays with people she trusts! Her days are being filled with more and more compliments. If you understand and wait for her, you will be able to see Jinhee’s ever growing love! ✨You need to approach her carefully because she can be surprised or uncomfortable with people who scream, or makes large gestures or actions. 💟 Personality / Characteristics * Keywords: #Charming #Timid #Mildtempered * Energy Level (1~10): Level 4 *Can be uncomfortable at doggy friends who actively and boldly come at her, but Jinhee can greet doggy friends coming slowly with a good manner! *Doesn’t particularly react to cats during her walking session. *Prefers a person who moves slowly and quietly than a person with a loud voice and moves too boldly!💗 *Jinhee who can be a calm girl even when she is playing with her foster can be more outgoing too! When her foster tosses the stuffed toy, she brings it to the foster and enjoys playing the tug play. *Can be uncomfortable when someone comes at her too actively and boldly.😭 Doesn’t like high-pitched, loud sounds. *Prefers walking with her foster and enjoying the surroundings than actively playing and running around with doggy friends. *Mostly rests during the daytime and becomes more active and plays in nighttime.❤️ *Can briefly bark on the sound of the door knock but doesn’t bark most of the time. *Doesn’t prefer bathing but she can patiently tolerate it. *No carsickness. *Tends to shed slightly but sheds more during shedding season! Jinhee favors her foster to brush her hair and getting cuddled and really loves her hair to be brushed more and often! *Mastered “Sit”, “Fighting”, “Kissing her foster”! *Jinhee’s favorites: Her foster and dog Churu snack. 💙 Foster account 👉🏻 @adogs_jinhee

Story
Meet Magellan! He had been living on the street for a few months when someone asked if we could take him in. He’s sooooo happy and bouncy! He weighs 51 pounds and is about a year old, still a baby with sparkling white teeth! He is GREAT with the other dogs in the yard and so he is able to run free with the front yard pack. He has a chill disposition and isn’t dominant with the other dogs. Believe it or not, sometimes street dogs can be more well adjusted than a dog that is owner surrendered! He’s probably even good with cats, we can always cat test any dog! Magellan loves to play! He would be a great addition to any home!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.March 3, 2024, 9:22 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Winter is an estimated  5-month-old, female mixed breed (possibly Aussie or Border Collie) who joined us from Visalia Animal Shelter. She is reported to be friendly with people and dogs.  Foster Update: Tis the season! So meet Miss Winter! She's a husky Australian Shepherd mix with the most striking greenish eyes and beautiful sable coat! Despite those breeds, she's been fairly low energy so far and not really one to chase after balls and things. Along with her good looks, she's super smart! Learned sit and down in the first day that she was here. She also knows a couple other tricks as well. She's slowly getting used to the kennel, way better about going in and being quiet in it then barks when she needs to be let out. And since she's a puppy, she's teething of course and is learning quick to go potty outside, just all the puppy things!   Winter needs a savy home to help her build her confidence and residence dog that can help her learn how to play appropriately. If you love training this is the pup for you! We are only considering homes with securely fenced yards, large breed dog experience, will consider children over the age of 12 . No first time dog owners or apartments Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current on DPPV & Bordetella. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was rescued from the euthanasia list at a high-kill shelter in Visalia, California and being transported via START, arriving to Seattle area foster care 1/18/2024. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 3, 2024, 10:29 pm

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Junior! He is an adorable, fun 1-year-old, 10 lb, Mini Aussie/Yorkshire Terrier mix who came to us from CA to find a better life. He is super friendly, happy and spunky boy. He is good with other dogs and would love to have another dog friend in the home. He would do fine in a home with cats as he pays no attention to them. He is not fully house trained and will sometimes mark in the house when he is excited, so he will need an adopter who will work on this with him. He is still young and is very puppy-like. He can be vocal when he gets excited so he would do best in a standalone home rather than high density living. He will need to be groomed regularly and will need an adopter who is committed to that. Junior is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $500.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Say hello to Pearl! She is a 1-year-old, 40lb Australian Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She is very sweet, smart, very people oriented and listens well to her handler. She walks very well on leash and will make a loyal companion to any lucky adopter. She is an active girl and will need an active adopter who is familiar with herding breeds. Pearl does great with other dogs and spends her days in the play yard with other rescue dogs. She is active and will need a home with a fenced yard. No apartments/condos for her. She does have a high prey drive and should not go to a home that has cats or other small animals. Pearl is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.

Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
