Kiko is a sweet, energetic boy who loves to be outside exploring. He is active and would love a forever home that will exercise him daily and provide him an active lifestyle. He would also do best in a standalone home with a fenced yard to explore, preferably outside the city. Kiko has done well with other dogs in our care and would be a great additional dog in a home. He would also do fine as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention. Kiko is a very strong boy, and will require adopters that are able to handle his strength. FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet this sweet boy, Jethro! He is a 3-year-old, 55 LB Australian Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding his forever home here in WA! He is currently living in a foster home with two other female dogs. Jethro is a very good boy! He LOVES to play fetch and being with his people. His ideal forever home is with a family who is home often to engage with him and not gone long hours. He loves connecting with people and will play fetch all day long! Jethro is also very smart, learns quickly, and is motivated by treats and toys. He knows basic commands and takes treats gently. He walks well on leash and stays close to his people. He can show some reactivity towards other male dogs on leash and will pull and will need an attentive adopter. Jethro does well with most dogs and can live with them but honestly is more interested in the companionship of humans rather than dogs and would likely prefer to be an only dog where he can get all of the love and attention. Although he would also be fine with another dog in the home who is not looking for a dog companion. He can be sensitive when about where he is touched and doesn’t like to be surprised (such as when he is sleeping) so we are recommending a home without young children. He has shown some prey drive toward neighborhood cats on walks and may not be the best fit with cats in the home. He is trainable and nonchalant, so he may be able to live with them but will need slow introductions. We are looking for a standalone home (no apartments or condos) with a fully fenced yard for him, preferably not in a busy city area. He is deaf and partially blind, and will require a family who is prepared for these special needs. Despite his lack of certain senses, Powder is an amazingly sweet and happy boy. He loves people and attention and will bond deeply. Powder is amazing with dogs of all sizes and feels much more confident around them as they can help make up for his lack of hearing and sight. He will require another dog in his forever home. Powder will need a family that can help him get used to his home and routine so he can know what to expect in his day to day as he cannot adapt as quickly to new environments as hearing/seeing dogs. He can be a little spooked in new environments and will thrive in a home that can help him build trust and confidence. Powder is truly an amazing dog that will make his forever family very happy. Neptune can be a very happy social boy, but he needs a strong leader that can set some healthy boundaries with him. A home with a single person may be best. He seems to attach himself to the mother figure in the home and then guard that person.
