** I am currently being housed at our Oglethorpe location. Come meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW, every day from 12pm-7pm. Please arrive no later than 6:30 p.m. to allow ample time to interact with adoptable dogs. Or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.My name is Ki-Ki. I am a sweet, sweet girl who can't wait to meet you. I have lots of energy and lots of love to give. I may take a few minutes to get to know you but once I do I will happily lean into you with my whole body for as many pets as possible. Although I was a stray and in the shelter for two months, I already know how to sit and I am learning other things too! I am pretty good with my house-training and I haven't had any accidents at nighttime. I am learning not to pull on leash (especially when I see squirrels) and my previous foster mom says I have improved so much because I am really smart. I love playing with toys and I got the zoomies running from the couch to the doggy bed and back -- over and over. I also love walks and I am very curious about everything I see and smell. If you are looking for a sweet, loving and energetic doggie, I promise I am your girl!To learn more about Ki-Ki, check out her video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4_TH2MTE0Y

Kobe's friendly nature, boundless energy, and love for humans make him an exceptional companion for anyone seeking an active and affectionate pet. Kobe's unique personality, stemming from his mix of bulldog and beagle traits, sets him apart. He finds joy in toys, belly rubs, laps, and hugs, making every interaction a delightful experience. If you're someone with an active lifestyle, Kobe could be your perfect running or hiking partner, showcasing his potential as a fantastic fit for individuals or families who love outdoor activities. This charismatic pup not only loves human companionship but also enjoys playing with other dogs. However, Kobe can be a bit possessive when it comes to his food and toys, so a home where he can be the sole pet would be ideal. At approximately 3 years old and weighing around 35 lbs, Kobe is ready to bring his infectious energy and affection into a forever home. Currently residing in boarding, he eagerly awaits the opportunity to be a part of a loving family. Are you the one who can offer Kobe the active lifestyle and affection he craves? Come meet Kobe and discover the joy of having a wonderful companion by your side! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. Story
Jazzie is a beautiful, energetic, AKC pure-bred English Bulldog. She loves to play with her ball and bone and run around the yard. She is not your typical lazy bulldog, she's a real bundle of energy (until she's worn out, that is). She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and is getting better on her leash. Unfortunately for us, Jazzie does not get along with our oldest daughter, but she is fine with our two younger children. It's not Jazzie's fault, and she does fine with everybody else. This is a difficult decision and we are going to miss her so much. Please give Jazzie a chance to show you how great she can be!

Story
Hi! My name is Iris. I am a really cute, squishy pup, and I am just looking for my furever home! My mom is an American Bully, and my dad we think was a pit bull/English bulldog mix. I am 8 weeks old (born February 1, 2024), weigh about 5 pounds, and I love dogs, cats and kids. I am doing so well with all of them in my foster home in South Carolina! I am spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, current with all vaccines (as appropriate for my age) and on flea and heartworm prevention. I am all ready to be adopted :) My adoption fee is $450, and covers all of my vetting, and includes transport within the next two weeks, if my new family lives in the northeast USA. ***PLEASE DO NOT FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO ADOPT WITHIN THE NEXT TWO WEEKS**** Please visit https://www.apply.daybeforetherainbow.com/ to fill out an adoption application form or email my rescue at taryn@daybeforetherainbow.com! Thanks for checking me out!
