House trained: Yes Energy level: Low Noise level: Quiet My foster guardian says: My favorite thing about Oakland is how snuggly he is! Likes: walks, dog parks, chew toys   Hi, Im Oakland! If youre looking for a dog with a big personality, youve found him! Im an energetic guy, excited about life! Some of my favorite things to do are playing with my toys, chewing on bones, and running at top speed! Im a super friendly guy (unless youre an electric scooter), and I like to greet everybody when Im out on a walk. Im always down for a game of tug, or wrestling with my doggie friends at the park. For all my energy though, my foster says Im a professional cuddler, and super affectionate. I know how to chill, and like to spend my downtime sleeping. I love to be near my people as much as possible, and Im a champion couch and bed snuggler. As far as special skills go, Im learning lots everyday! Im super good in my crate, Im totally potty trained, and I already know how to sit! So, if youre looking for a multi-talented cuddle bug who can snooze as well as they can play, then we might be a great match! Apply to adopt me today!   Please visit our website www.ruraldogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing dog and to see other dogs available for adoption!

Story
Coco is such a good and sweet dog that needs a loving home. She is 5 years old, meaning we got her during the pandemic. At the time I only had two children and we all were home. We had lots of time for walks and cuddles but now we have 3 small children who have active schedules and 3 jobs between my husband and myself. Our main issue is time and attention. She deserves more. She is actually a low maintenance dog. She loves walks but her breed is lazy so the walk never really last long. She enjoys fetch but chew toys never last.

I'm a brave soul, not afraid to explore new places or meet new friends. My calm demeanor makes me a great companion, whether we're chilling at home or out on an adventure. I'm a friendly guy who gets along well with other dogs, and I've even lived with cats before. I'm also crate trained, which means I'm respectful of your space and belongings. He is the epitome of sweetness, a bit shy at first, but warms quickly. He has a gentle nature that will melt your heart, and his adorable quirky "smile" is totally endearing. He loves other dogs, too, and won't mind sharing the love. Wham is currently being treated for non-contagious Demodex mange, but this doesn't dampen his spirits one bit. Once his condition clears up, he will be super handsome! He has had a lot to deal with so far, but he is a cheerful and resilient fella. ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 44 lbs - a perfect size! KNOWN WITH DOGS: Great! Gaia is a total wigglebutt when meeting other dogs. She is affectionate, liking to kiss them in the face, and playful, so she'd do great with another playful dog. She is very happy around other dogs, though she can get concerned when they get around her food and treats or people she loves. KNOWN WITH CATS: Great. She is a bit scared of them so currently will not walk by the household cat in her foster home. Very respectful of the kitty! KNOWN WITH KIDS: Gaia seems great with people of all ages. She has not met a human yet she does not love, and did great with kids in a previous home. Wiggles, cuddles, kisses, and just loves to be hugged. KNOWN CUES: Not sure yet. We'll report back. She walks VERY WELL ON LEASH. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Goes nicely into her crate. May whine a bit to start but then quiets down. We are not sure yet on full housebreaking. KNOWN LIKES: People! Dogs! Cuddles! Playtime! KNOWN DISLIKES: None known at this time ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Gaia is going to make the perfect addition to a family who loves an affectionate, playful dog. She'd love another dog companion but can also be an only dog with humans who will play with her, allow her to meet other dogs, and cuddle with her. She walks well in an urban environment, seems to be crate trained and knows how to be calm in the home after her walk. She's the perfect size as we expect she'll be under 45 lbs full-grown. She loves cuddles and toys and loves to kiss other dogs and people the most! She is truly a gem! Gaia was spayed during her stay at Homeward Trails, and she is going to have surgery to address an issue with her knees.

Story
Dulce is a very friendly and fun-loving gal. She is extremely social with all people and all animals, but she really lights up when there are kids around. She can be a bit too in your face at times.... but she's still young and inquisitive. She is learning boundaries along with tons of other commands since she's a very smart cookie. And even though her videos show her happy, active side she definitely knows how to chill out and cuddle.
