Meet Ms. Ham! And yes, she absolutely lives up to her name. Ham is an 8-to-10-year-old English Bulldog with a big personality, an even bigger love for belly rubs, and absolutely no problem spending most of her day horizontal. Bed, couch, cool hard floor, sunny patch of grass... Ham isn't picky as long as she can get comfortable. This goofy girl is everything you could want in a Bulldog. She snores, snorts, occasionally lets out a fart, and even "talks" in her sleep. She also has an adorable gummy underbite that leaves her tongue permanently peeking out. When she's awake, one of her favorite activities is staring deeply into your soul until you understand that yes, she would like a belly rub now. She'll happily roll onto her back to receive one, although getting herself upright afterward is sometimes another story. Ham is low-energy, treat-motivated, and perfectly content to snooze the day away. She enjoys rolling around in the yard, bath time, and accompanying her humans to the bathroom in case they require supervision. She's fine when left home alone and does okay on leash. Ham currently lives with a larger dog and does okay with them, but she has shown some mild resource guarding around food. She's easily redirected, but we think this queen would be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as the only dog in her forever home. Her history with cats and younger children is unknown, although she has done well with older children and adults. Like many Bulldogs, Ham comes with a little maintenance. She is currently being treated for skin/allergy issues and yeasty ears and will likely need ongoing allergy management, including medicated baths. She also has the typical snorts and snores that come with her short snout. Ham is looking for a family who appreciates the finer things in life: snacks, naps, belly rubs, quirky Bulldog noises, and having a 45-pound shadow nearby. Give this silly girl a comfortable place to land and plenty of love, and she'll happily spend her retirement making you laugh. Ms. Ham is approximately 10 years old and 45 lbs. Primrose, Princeton and Percival's mom was abandoned at a home when her previous owners moved out. She was left out on a chain to fend for herself. Luckily the neighbors realized she had been left behind and took her in. She was in horrible physical condition and pregnant by to neighborhood stray (a black lab) that would jump the fence when she was in heat. It was reported by the neighbors that these 2 had had multiple litters together but none of the puppies ever survived. The neighbors children fell in love with mom and they are keeping her but needed help rehoming her very last litter (we assisted in getting her spayed). These pups are the most laid back and chill group I have ever seen.

Venus was rescued back in October of 2025. Her first week in rescue was 24/7 hospital care on IV liquids, antibiotics, and pain medicine. Her diagnosis included several broken ribs (likely from humans kicking her). We have a strong inkling that Venus somehow escaped from the life of a bait dog for dog fighting which sadly is commonplace in our state. She was very thin, every bone in her body was protruding and she had very infected abscesses all over her body from bite wounds. She had heartworms and has completed the full treatment. She has made a complete recovery and is ready to be a part of a family, something she has never had before! She does not get along with other dogs. Cats aren’t her thing either, but she makes up for it with loyalty, affection, and the sweetest temperament. Venus is ready to brighten someone’s world. Could it be yours? She is currently being fostered in Mississippi but included in your adoption fee is transport to a location near you by Rescue Riders Pet Transport, the most animal friendly transport on the road! We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Rufio is an old english bulldog, is 3yo, weighs 91lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Rufio is alone about 6 hours each day and is kept in his crate.  At night, he sleeps in his bed in the bedroom.  He needs to be restrained in the car or else he will climb all around.  He currently eats Royal Canin Ultamino. Rufio's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him: "He is very sweet but he was not well trained or socialized. He is too large and strong for me to keep under control and he has been injuring me when he plays or gets too excited. He needs an owner who is better able to handle him and a larger house." Rufio's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "He has significant allergies that he is currently seeing a dermatologist for.  He is on an elimination diet and medication." Rufio's guardian states the following regarding children:  Rufio hasn't lived with children, but his guardian recommends his living with children ages 12 and older, stating "Rufio is very large and strong and jumps on people.  He should not live with children under 12". Rufio's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Rufio hasn't lived with dogs, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating "Rufio is not socialized around other dogs.  He is not aggressive but he comes on way too strong and escalates play quickly which scares other dogs". Rufio's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Rufio lives with a cat, so his guardian recommends his living with cats, stating "He mostly ignores my cat and doesn't chase her". Chico is a 7 year old American Bulldog mix. He is such a sweet soul and gentle spirit. He settled into his foster home quickly and gets along with the resident dog perfectly. Chico is so cool, calm, and collected even when the resident dog is guarding his favorite toys. He wants nothing more than to cuddle up next to you on the couch and rest his head on your chest before taking a long nap. Don’t get up in the middle of the night! You may find Chico keeping your spot warm when you get back! He loves food, and will sit and shake for a tasty treat. He is easy to leash up, and walking him is a breeze as he hardly pulls at all. Story
Meet Danny Boy! He has a heart of gold and a real penchant for couch snuggles. Danny is built around a head of truly remarkable scrunchy proportions ~ an architectural achievement that then required the installation of two enormous satellite-dish ears to properly stabilize it. The result is an ear span so impressive it occasionally receives signals from rooms he is not currently in. And yet, for all that heavy equipment, Danny uses it almost exclusively to listen for kind words and compliments. Danny is soft, affectionate, and deeply committed to earning as many gold stars in a day as possible. He believes couches were invented for shared sitting, beds for shared sleeping, and personal space for other families who don’t live here. He loves being pet and prefers staying close to his humans. His top criteria for his forever home is that his humans be home with him most of the time and love snuggling as much as possible. Danny enjoys walks (ideally about 20-minute ones) and loves meeting new people when he's out and about. He does a happy dance complete with prancing when his foster mom takes his leash out, or when he's about to be fed. He especially loves treats and wet food. Danny is living with both another dog and a cat in his foster home. He gets along well with both of them, though he doesn't show much interest in them unless they initate sniffing or play. He also gets along beautifully with children, walks well on the leash, and is a great copilot in the car. Danny has made excellent progress on his housetraining, although he is still using potty pads some of the time. He sleeps well through the night (and a decent portion of the day!). He doesn't mind staying home if his people have to go out for a bit, but he would much rather you be home with him. Danny is currently recovering from an ear infection and exposure to some tick-borne illnesses, but treatment is fairly straightforward and both issues should soon resolve. His vision and hearing are no longer 100% but he gets around fairly well. He does have some trouble navigating stairs, so he may need a helping hand if his forever home has them. If you'd like every morning to begin with two enormous ears slowly rising over the horizon (covers) at the sound of their favorite person waking up, Danny is your man.
