Meet Ms. Ham! And yes, she absolutely lives up to her name. Ham is an 8-to-10-year-old English Bulldog with a big personality, an even bigger love for belly rubs, and absolutely no problem spending most of her day horizontal. Bed, couch, cool hard floor, sunny patch of grass... Ham isn't picky as long as she can get comfortable. This goofy girl is everything you could want in a Bulldog. She snores, snorts, occasionally lets out a fart, and even "talks" in her sleep. She also has an adorable gummy underbite that leaves her tongue permanently peeking out. When she's awake, one of her favorite activities is staring deeply into your soul until you understand that yes, she would like a belly rub now. She'll happily roll onto her back to receive one, although getting herself upright afterward is sometimes another story. Ham is low-energy, treat-motivated, and perfectly content to snooze the day away. She enjoys rolling around in the yard, bath time, and accompanying her humans to the bathroom in case they require supervision. She's fine when left home alone and does okay on leash. Ham currently lives with a larger dog and does okay with them, but she has shown some mild resource guarding around food. She's easily redirected, but we think this queen would be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as the only dog in her forever home. Her history with cats and younger children is unknown, although she has done well with older children and adults. Like many Bulldogs, Ham comes with a little maintenance. She is currently being treated for skin/allergy issues and yeasty ears and will likely need ongoing allergy management, including medicated baths. She also has the typical snorts and snores that come with her short snout. Ham is looking for a family who appreciates the finer things in life: snacks, naps, belly rubs, quirky Bulldog noises, and having a 45-pound shadow nearby. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting. ***** Rufio is an old english bulldog, is 3yo, weighs 91lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped. Rufio is alone about 6 hours each day and is kept in his crate. At night, he sleeps in his bed in the bedroom. He needs to be restrained in the car or else he will climb all around. He currently eats Royal Canin Ultamino. Rufio's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him: "He is very sweet but he was not well trained or socialized. He is too large and strong for me to keep under control and he has been injuring me when he plays or gets too excited. He needs an owner who is better able to handle him and a larger house." Rufio's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "He has significant allergies that he is currently seeing a dermatologist for. He is on an elimination diet and medication." Rufio's guardian states the following regarding children: Rufio hasn't lived with children, but his guardian recommends his living with children ages 12 and older, stating "Rufio is very large and strong and jumps on people. Venus was rescued back in October of 2025. Her first week in rescue was 24/7 hospital care on IV liquids, antibiotics, and pain medicine. Her diagnosis included several broken ribs (likely from humans kicking her). We have a strong inkling that Venus somehow escaped from the life of a bait dog for dog fighting which sadly is commonplace in our state. She was very thin, every bone in her body was protruding and she had very infected abscesses all over her body from bite wounds. She had heartworms and has completed the full treatment. She has made a complete recovery and is ready to be a part of a family, something she has never had before! She does not get along with other dogs. Cats aren’t her thing either, but she makes up for it with loyalty, affection, and the sweetest temperament. Venus is ready to brighten someone’s world. Could it be yours?
