If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire athttps://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/generic.You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name:  Babe Dory (DOR1225ALAFD)  Estimated Breed:  English Bulldog mixApproximate Age:  DOB 9/28/25 Approximate Weight:  15 lbsCurrently Living at:  Foster    Adoption Fee:  $500DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Meet Babe Dory!Hi there! It’s me… Dory! I might be a puppy, but I’ve already had quite the adventure. My siblings—Bubbles and Crush—and I found ourselves in a very full shelter in Alabama. It was a pretty scary place for little ones like us. But then… our heroes arrived! K-9 Lifesavers scooped us up and helped us land in wonderful foster homes. Now I’m dreaming of my forever family—maybe that’s you? I’m about as cute as a puppy can possibly be (or so I’m told!). I’m sweet, playful, friendly, and always excited to meet new people. I adore other dogs too! At my young age, I’m in the perfect stage for learning all the good stuff—training, manners, socialization, you name it. If you’re looking for a lovable little sidekick who will fill your days with wiggles, snuggles, and joy… I’m your girl! Apply today—I can’t wait to meet you! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. He is the epitome of sweetness, a bit shy at first, but warms quickly. He has a gentle nature that will melt your heart, and his adorable quirky "smile" is totally endearing. He loves other dogs, too, and won't mind sharing the love. Wham is currently being treated for non-contagious Demodex mange, but this doesn't dampen his spirits one bit. Once his condition clears up, he will be super handsome! He has had a lot to deal with so far, but he is a cheerful and resilient fella. Wham is not just a pet, he's a friend waiting to offer unwavering love and loyalty. Choose Wham, and you won't regret a single day. DISCLOSURE: The adoptable pets in our program are still in the care and custody of owners who wish to re-home their pet. Owners have enlisted Rescue Well to provide marketing and screening of applicants as a service, free of charge. All fees and adoption conditions are determined by the owner. We advise that adopters do not send payment or deposits for pets prior to adopting.  ***** Rufio is an old english bulldog, is 3yo, weighs 91lbs, is neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and is microchipped.  Rufio is alone about 6 hours each day and is kept in his crate.  At night, he sleeps in his bed in the bedroom.  He needs to be restrained in the car or else he will climb all around.  He currently eats Royal Canin Ultamino. Rufio's guardian explains why she has made the difficult decision to rehome him: "He is very sweet but he was not well trained or socialized. He is too large and strong for me to keep under control and he has been injuring me when he plays or gets too excited. He needs an owner who is better able to handle him and a larger house." Rufio's guardian offers a brief a medical history: "He has significant allergies that he is currently seeing a dermatologist for.  He is on an elimination diet and medication." Rufio's guardian states the following regarding children:  Rufio hasn't lived with children, but his guardian recommends his living with children ages 12 and older, stating "Rufio is very large and strong and jumps on people.  He should not live with children under 12". Rufio's guardian states the following regarding dogs:  Rufio hasn't lived with dogs, so his guardian doesn't recommend his living with dogs, stating "Rufio is not socialized around other dogs.  He is not aggressive but he comes on way too strong and escalates play quickly which scares other dogs". Rufio's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Rufio lives with a cat, so his guardian recommends his living with cats, stating "He mostly ignores my cat and doesn't chase her". Rufio's guardian describes him as: Quiet Playful Friendly Likes to be touched Affectionate Always at your side Indoor Only Pet House-Trained Crate-Trained Likes women and men (takes a bit to warm up to men since he's priimarily exposed to women) Rufio's guardian describes his ideal future home: "Rufio needs a larger house preferably with a fenced yard to exercise in.  Ideally, his new owners would be strong enough to handle him physically."
