I'm a brave soul, not afraid to explore new places or meet new friends. My calm demeanor makes me a great companion, whether we're chilling at home or out on an adventure. I'm a friendly guy who gets along well with other dogs, and I've even lived with cats before. I'm also crate trained, which means I'm respectful of your space and belongings. I do have allergies, but they're manageable with a little care. I'm just looking for a family who will love me, allergies and all. I promise to bring joy, companionship, and unconditional love to your home. Will you be my forever family?Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.    Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSPONSOR ME! Help Save Lives!    Make a tax-deductible donation today and help save a life. He loves other dogs, too, and won't mind sharing the love. Wham is currently being treated for non-contagious Demodex mange, but this doesn't dampen his spirits one bit. Story
Chico is a 7 year old American Bulldog mix. He is such a sweet soul and gentle spirit. He settled into his foster home quickly and gets along with the resident dog perfectly. Chico is so cool, calm, and collected even when the resident dog is guarding his favorite toys. He wants nothing more than to cuddle up next to you on the couch and rest his head on your chest before taking a long nap. Don’t get up in the middle of the night! You may find Chico keeping your spot warm when you get back! He loves food, and will sit and shake for a tasty treat. He is easy to leash up, and walking him is a breeze as he hardly pulls at all. Chico still has lots of pep left for an older guy so one long walk a day would suffice for him as he is more than happy to lounge next to you the rest of the day after a good meal. If you are looking for someone to keep you warm for the winters to come, or a buddy to go on long road trips with, Chico is your guy!

Story
Pac man is a 2 year old English Bulldog mix. This little tank looks mighty but all he wants to do is be close to you, preferably on you with his face close enough to snort sweet nothings into your ear. He enjoys a short walk, though he won’t linger if it’s cold, raining, or snowing outside. Pac would do well in a medium to low energy household as he is probably more content to hang out on your lap than to pretend he wants to play fetch. He is housetrained, crate trained, does well with young children, but shouldn’t be in a home with cats. We have learned that he can be protective of his people around other dogs, so we’re recommending he be the only dog in the house.

These pups are in Gaithersburg, Maryland too!

Story
This is Bruno—a sweet, cuddly little pup in a big dog’s body! We adopted him from the shelter this past December, and loving him has been a joyful journey. He’s full of energy, love, and curiosity. Bruno adores walks (though sometimes it feels like he’s walking us!) and is always on a mission to sniff every bush and find the perfect stick. He’s an avid snuggler who loves curling up in bed for cozy naps. While he hasn’t had much experience with kids, he can be a bit overly playful—forgetting his size when trying to sit in laps or leaning in too hard for pets. He’s mostly house trained and learning not to jump when excited. Bruno is a wonderful dog still growing into himself. Unfortunately, we don’t have the space to give him the active, full life he deserves. We’re in a small home without a yard and can’t provide the walks or room to explore that he needs. We’re heartbroken but hoping to find him a home that can match his energy and spirit.
