Meet Mundo! Mundo is a sweet and spirited little bulldog. He is 1.5 year old, 49lbs, fully potty trained, kennel trained, neutered, and still has puppy energy. He has a more athletic build for his breed and loves to run and play, but will settle down on the couch with us when tired. Mundo will need a strong, patient, & loving pack leader. He is not good with other dogs or cats. Mundo absolutely loves children, but to an extreme. He gets too enthusiastic when children are around and wants to climb/jump and lick their face as much as possible. Because of this, I recommend he goes to a home with older children only. He does not have any issues with breathing, but he does have one cherry eye that has had two surgeries and still pops out, which will need attention. If you have the time and energy for a highly energetic and stubborn cutie, Mundo may be a good match for you. He will reward you by being your constant companion as he shadows you around the house.

True to his name, this goofy guy brings plenty of laughs wherever he goes. He’s an outgoing, friendly dog who enjoys meeting new people and making friends wherever he can. Stinkbug has a playful, energetic side and absolutely loves spending time with other dogs. He can get a little rowdy during playtime, but he’s respectful with confident dogs who enjoy a good wrestle and chase. While he finds cats very interesting and likes to chase them, he doesn’t seem to mean any harm—he’s just a bit too enthusiastic for most feline friends. This happy pup enjoys staying active and does great on walks. He walks nicely on a leash and would love a family that enjoys getting outside for daily strolls and adventures. After some playtime or exercise, Stinkbug is just as happy to settle down for cuddles and relax with his people. Stinkbug is very food motivated and eager to please, which has made training a positive experience. He already knows commands like “sit” and “come,” and he takes direction well. With continued consistency, he’s likely to pick up even more skills quickly. He’s almost fully potty trained when kept on a good routine and continues to improve every day. When it comes to toys, Stinkbug has clear favorites—chew toys and plush toys that he can proudly carry around or tear apart during playtime. He also enjoys car rides and handles new experiences with an easygoing attitude. Stinkbug does great in his crate and settles in comfortably when needed. He’s an affectionate, playful, and even-tempered dog who enjoys being part of the action but also loves spending quality time with his people. Overall, Stinkbug is a lovable, goofy companion who would fit well with an active family that enjoys both playtime and cuddle time. With his friendly nature, eagerness to learn, and joyful personality, he’s ready to bring lots of fun and love to his forever home. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  Bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers, Brussels Griffons, Pekingese and others are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. These breeds are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for these breeds usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires a separate application and an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion.
