Jax is a pure breed brindle English Bull dog. He is 8yrs old and is very calm and passive! He enjoys going on walks, sleeping and getting petted. He is well behaved around other dogs and gets along with them. We have to give him up due to me moving and he is currently with my parents who are elderly. We want Jax to go to a good home and that will enjoy his company!

Story
I`m Buddy, a 10-year-old Olde English Bulldog, and I came to Animal Ark when my family lost their home. Staff and volunteers are still getting to know me, but they have described me as an energetic and active senior. Due to my age, I am looking for a quiet home where I can relax and enjoy my golden years. If giving me a new start in life sounds like a good idea, submit an adoption application so that we can be introduced!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi, I’m Bell, a 7-year-old, 50-pound English Bulldog with a big heart and an even bigger personality! I’m a sweet girl who loves nothing more than lounging at home and playing fetch or keep-away with my favorite balls. I may be a bit older, but I’m still full of energy and love to stay active!  In fact, I've been working with a trainer and its's recommended a daily walk (outside Or on the treadmill!) for mental stimulation. I’m totally potty trained and do well with crate time, though sometimes I’ll bark if I don’t get my way. I also need daily eye drops, but I’m good about taking them. I prefer a quieter, adult-only home since busy places and small kids make me nervous. I do best as an only dog so I can get all your attention. We can Netflix and chill on the couch and I promise to be your bestest friend and loyal companion. Foster mom says I’ll keep you laughing all day long with my bulldog antics and hey, we can check out the world.  I am leash trained and like to go for short walks. Listen, I may not be the fastest or most fit, but I can keep up! At home, I’m super affectionate with the adults I trust, and I love snuggling on the couch—yep, I’m a big lap dog! I’m happy going on leash walks for potty breaks and exercise, so I don’t need a fenced yard. If you’re looking for a special Bulldog who just wants to be your best friend and play fetch, I’m your girl! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    * **Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Keep checking back for upcoming events I will be attending!       Pickles is a sweet and snuggly English Bulldog and Cocker Spaniel mix with a heart full of love and a surprisingly calm personality for a puppy under six months old. At just 17 pounds, he’s the perfect lap-sized companion who thrives on being near his people—preferably curled up next to them with his head resting sweetly on a lap. Pickles is a gentle, well-mannered pup who’s picking up on his training quickly and responds well to direction, especially when treats or kibble are involved. He enjoys playing with squeaky toys, balls, bones, and pig ears, and is learning how to play nicely with other dogs. While his current older foster siblings aren't up for roughhousing, he respects their space and listens when told to leave them alone. Pickles is also great with children and would make a loving addition to a family home. He’s crate trained, quiet overnight, and nearly potty trained with a consistent schedule. Leash walking is still a work in progress, but he enjoys his daily strolls and is gaining confidence each day. He can be a bit timid in new surroundings but perks up and pulls a little when he knows he's heading home. Pickles is independent enough to entertain himself but would enjoy a playful companion if one is around. He’s bright, affectionate, and eager to learn, making him a delightful puppy who's already ahead of the curve. Whether you’re looking for a cuddly couch buddy or a gentle playmate for your current dog or child, Pickles is ready to bring joy and love into a forever home. **Obedience classes are required when adopting this puppy from Underdog Rescue. Many of our puppies have a mama who was not properly socialized before coming to Underdog Rescue. Since coming to Underdog, this puppy has been in a socialized and loving home, but that needs to be continued with its Adopters. Training classes teach puppies the ins and outs of being a pet while creating a bond with their new Adopter. Obedience classes are key to creating a relationship with your puppy while having it be a happy and successful member of society. Proof of Obedience Class registration is required for this puppy before adoptions can be finalized. If you would like some suggestions, we would be happy to send some trainers who have experience with Underdog Rescue, but a Basic Obedience class in your area should work! Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.  We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Puppy Applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the puppy. Our goal is place puppies in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the puppy, we will not approve your application. We accept applications for puppies until we have a candidate that meets all of the requirements needed for the specific puppy and they have been contacted to review the adoption process as well as agree to all of the terms to move forward. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Hi there, I'm Gucci! I am one of the sweetest English Bulldogs you'll meet and I'm so ready to find my forever home! I came up by way of a Texas rescue and am loving my time here in Minnesota! They tell me to wait for the cold, so we'll see about that later this year... I am leash trained and love going for short walks. Summer and the heat changes that a bit being a bulldog and all, but I love to check out the neighborhood and say hi to everyone I meet!  If  you had a fenced in yard, that sounds fun, but it's not needed.  I am also potty trained on a schedule - pretty great huh?! I love to sleep in that big bed with you at night and get oh so cozy! Foster mom also leaves me out while she is away and I have never once had an accident in the house. My favorite things to do? Snuggles on the couch. I'll even let you pick the tv show ;) I don't require another dog in the home. I get along with one of the pups in the home, but have been known to resource guard toys / bones. This is something we are working on, but I've never really had those types of things before, so I'm just worried someone wants to take them and I just don't understand they maybe want to play. If you have other pups in the home, we'd need to work on this and starting some training classes is likely needed to help me understand. If you have no other pups in the home and can spoil me rotten as your only dog, that also sounds amazing! I have not met young kids or cats, but I would likely be fine - so long as the kids are respectful of my space and toys/bones. Alright, that's a little about me - let's hear about you! Fill out a bulldog app and let's set a time to meet! If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.    Bulldogs are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure the breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average bulldog owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs.   In addition to her other surgeries, Gucci did have surgery on her soft palate to improve the quality of her breathing.  This is partially reflected within her adoption fee. Bulldogs are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for bulldogs usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi Friends, I’m Willow! In typical Bulldog fashion, I’m a couch potato. I mean, who likes mornings anyways, right? Ok, so you have to wake me up in the morning and encourage me to go outside because frankly, this life in a home is pretty great and I’d prefer to sleep the days away in a comfy fashion.  I don’t need a fenced in yard and do great on leash. We won’t go for very far or long outside, but I’ll trot along if you’re with me.  I’m doing very well with potty training and have only had a few accidents, too. I know we can master that together! I also really love a good chew bone! Those are delicious!  The short times I’ve been in the kennel I’ve done just fine, but I’d love to hang with you, too! I haven’t  yet met any cats, but I’m a docile lady I don’t see those being an issue. I haven’t met any young kids, but should be good with older, respectful ones. The teenagers in my foster home are pretty great and I like sleeping in bed with them! Foster mom says I’m so loving and sweet and just the best - and I’d tend to agree! I think I could be an only dog with you, and get along with most dogs. I had a little scuffle with the female English Bulldog in the house, but the other times with her - and all other dogs - we’ve gotten along great! I also think apartment living could be a nice life, if that’s where you live! I came up to Underdog by way of Texas where I was found as a stray. I had a bad cherry eye, which you can see in pictures, that we got fixed here in Minnesota. Sure is nice to have that fixed, but they told me sometimes it can pop back out post op, so my forever should be aware of that. They also polished up my teeth real nice while I was under so they’re sparkling clean! Ok enough about me, go fill out a bulldog application and let’s learn about you so we can meet!
