Poppy is one of those happy, outgoing senior girls that ended up at a kill shelter through no fault of her own. She is a perfect house guest, has good house manners and can be trusted to stay out of everything. She is a typical Basset Hound, all about nosing around and looking for squirrels to tree and bark at. She gets along with all the other dogs in her foster home unless someone wants to invade her kennel space; even when the door is open she knows it is her kennel and she does not want to share her room (or her treats/food). Poppy has lots of energy, takes showing the puppies how to be good dogs seriously and does a great job of chasing the birds. She loves attention and humans of all sizes and ages. She would be a great travel companion, once she’s in the car she loves to ride. She is even great about ongoing ear maintenance that Basset Hounds require.She is fully vetted - current with her vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention and she is microchipped.

Beau lost his family when his family was going through a divorce. When a foster was found, the foster went out to look for Beau. That is when they discovered he was living in a car with his Mom. She didn't want to give up Beau, but she knew her boy didn't deserve that lifestyle. Through tons of tears, hugs, and kisses, Beau's Mama  surrendered him over to BRAT where she knew he would be safe. Even through all the changes Beau has gone through, he is still so loving, playful, and goofy. Neglected, skinny, toes nails embedded into his pads, forgotten. He was tossed aside like a piece of garbage. He was adopted by a loving family in 2022, but sadly they are moving overseas, and Reggie needs to find a new home. Reggie's hobbies are napping, snuggling, playing with toys, and eating. He does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. Thank goodness, because he weighs over 90lbs, and needs to lose some weight. A healthy diet and regular exercise are necessary for Reggie.Reggie is house trained and crate trained. He loves his humans dearly, but very picky about his canine friends. He can be very playful with some dogs, but reactive to others, especially female dogs. Reggie needs a stable, permanent home where he can feel secure and loved. He enjoys spending time outdoors in good weather, so a home with a doggy door and fenced-in yard is ideal. He wrestles with his foster dogs. He is learning how to play fetch. He is a constant ball energy who doesn't know that his back legs don't work properly. Merlin is a cuddle bug when he isn't running around with the others. He thinks he is a lap dog. Merlin is also a bit shy when it comes to humans. When his foster home has visitors, Merlin will run off to hide. Merlin is kennel trained. He will do best in a home with other dogs around. He will need a home that will be patient and tender towards him. He is also still a puppy, so he'll need continued patience with that as well. With a little patience, love, and tenderness. They are about 3 years old, They are great with kids and are very friendly. They love getting pets and Cuddles. As long as they get time to run around outside they normally spend the majority of their day sleeping. They get along well with cats as long as the cat doesn't mind their personal space being invaded. I would like them to go to the same home together, they have been together they're entire lives. While Fredo does well on his own, Sam does not do well without his brother. I would prefer they go to a home where they well have plenty of time to spend outside and has kids. They are not currently up to date on their shots but I am trying to get it done before they go to their new home. With how busy my schedule has become it's been hard finding time to get it done. They are very much loved and wanted dogs but unfortunately with how busy our day-to-day schedule has become they spend the majority of their day in their kennel alone. I just don't think that's fair to them and I really want them to have a home where they will get the love and attention they deserve.
