Story
Lovey is the kind of puppy who reminds you what love is really about. Rescued just in time from a neglectful home where she wasn’t wanted, this beautiful Beagle mix girl arrived with sad eyes and a quiet plea for something better. Before we ever met her, we named her Lovey in honor of the Valentine season — and once she was safe, it became clear that her name couldn’t be more perfect. At just 9 weeks old and 7.5 pounds, Lovey is blossoming into the happiest, most affectionate little puppy. She adores people, loves to play, and fills her foster home with joy through all the classic puppy antics that make you laugh and fall in love daily. Her past is already fading as she embraces her new life with an open heart and a wagging tail. Lovey is bright, food-motivated, and eager to learn, which has made training a wonderful experience. She is crate trained, learning leash skills, and doing great with potty training both outdoors and on pee pads. She approaches every new lesson with enthusiasm, clearly wanting to please and connect with her people. Lovey is expected to grow into a 30–35 pound adult with a rich golden short coat and the sweetest, most expressive face. She will be a devoted companion whose heart belongs fully to her family — the kind of dog who wants to be close, loved, and included in everyday life. This Valentine season, Lovey is wishing for something simple and lasting: a family to love her forever. If you’re ready to open your heart to a puppy who will give hers back a thousand times over, please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 8, 2026, 12:20 am

Story
Viola is a beautiful soul that we think is about 3 year old  and a Beagle mix girl. This black and white beauty with adorable speckled legs and a sweet She only weighs 20 lbs and has the sweetest smile and absolutely loves people. She was found as a stray that was taken to the shelter very scared and almost shutdown while there. Her human mother died and Viola is now 5 years old. Unfortunately we don’t really know her story, but we feel there is some trauma there in her past. It takes her a little bit to get used to people and even longer for dogs. She wants a safe place to observe (wire crate suggested)  till she figures it out. Her foster kept her behind a gate and her bed was her safe place. For a few days she would growl through the gate at the other dogs but after that it was over. We would leave the gate open and she would venture out and if she got nervous she would go back to her safe place. She is never ugly to the other dogs at her foster and  if one of the Chihuahuas was mean to her,  she just ignored her. We have her using puppy pads because there is  no fenced yard. Viola would definetly need a fenced yard so she can safely explore and have potty breaks. The outdoors makes her nervous still. She loves her people immensely and adores  kids but older ones are best.  If you want to help and REALLY rescue a dog them Viola would be forever indebted to you.    If you are interested please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 29, 2025, 1:51 pm

Story
5 years old, 30 pounds Personality: outgoing, affectionate, quiet, calm, trustworthy, gentle, snuggler, eager-to-please, easygoing, loyal, energetic, goofy, funny, patient, adaptable, and playful. Meet the marvelous Mrs. Melba, whose uniquely expressive face is only matched by her dazzling personality. This gentle gal has a wonderfully affectionate and easygoing nature. In fact, all you need to do is smile at her and her whole body will wag. She’ll show you just how much she loves you by how she wiggles and squirms when you enter the room. Melba is house trained and crate trained, and she knows the words “stop” and “no.” She has shown gentle manners when meeting new people and is good with other dogs on and off leash — her happy tail goes right into action. This little explorer loves sniffy walks outside and will wait patiently while you put on her harness or jacket. And while she occasionally partakes in that trademark beagle awooo, she is more often a quiet, reserved pup. Does funny, easygoing Melba sound like a good fit for your home?
