We have tested Piper with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Piper could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!”   Currently Living at:  D.C area foster home!   Special adoption considerations: Piper is shy and needs to go to a home with a welcoming resident dog to show her the ropes. Because of her shy personality, we do not recommend her for a home with children under the age of 12.    Piper is Looking For: Piper is a shy and gentle soul, she may take a little time to warm up to new faces, but once she does, her loyalty knows no bounds. Piper is searching for a patient forever family who understands that good things come to those who wait. Piper would love a family who can provide her with plenty of opportunity for walks and to meet and socialize with new dog friends, people and sights and sounds. Will you give this sweet girl a chance to blossom and be your forever friend? What My Foster Says About Me:   Piper is sweet and can be shy with people at first, but has started to come out of her shell at home. She loves going on walks with other dogs and is just the sweetest. She is is learning that lawn mowers, trucks and other loud things are okay. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:      The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. Please contact Diane Pedulla (dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.5 year old, 35 lb. male Beagle mixSHERLOCK NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! Name: Sherlock     Best Guess for Breed: Beagle mix Best Guess for Age:  5 years   SEX:  male Approximate Weight: 35 lbs. Gets Along With: other dogs generally but may be apprehensive when on leash. Currently Living with DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Sherlock is easily excitable and cannot go to a home with cats. Sherlock is a high energy dog who needs daily exercise beyond just walks.  I’m Looking For:  Poor Sherlock thought he found his forever home but for personal reasons his adopters are not able to keep any longer. This happy boy just wants a family who can take him out to play and introduce him to some other dogs. In addition to long daily walks with you Sherlock needs to burn off his young dog energy by running free at the dog park or doggie daycare. Beagles tend to follow their noses so be sure have plenty of treats on hand when training Sherlock to learn the rules in his new home. What My Foster Says About Me: Sherlock is energetic and playful with people and other dogs. He's a happy boy who likes going to the dog park, cuddling after a walk, and barking at the fox in our neighborhood. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any particular dog is housebroken.  All our dogs are working on crate training.  TO ADOPT: Download our Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Diane at dianep@luckydoganimalrescue.org . Story
Clooney is an 8 year old Beagle, Hound mix looking for a new home.  He is used to being the only dog in the house and has not been properly socialized, therefore does not do well sharing with other dogs.  Clooney needs training with positive reinforcement.  He likes his people and makes a great companion.  He is a Hound that follows his nose so he will need leash walks or a fenced area to roam in.  If you can help with fostering this handsome guy until we can find him a great new home, please let us know.  ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.December 3, 2023, 9:33 pm

Story
Are you a lady who lives alone or maybe it is just you and your dog who would love to have a sister dog?  Our girl Sister Sybil,  loves to play and buddy up with other dogs.  She also would make a great guard dog for a lady who may live alone.  Sybil is not a barker unless an unfamiliar person shows up at your door and she is ready to warn you.  She hides from children, not aggressive to them at all, just unsure of children, so she avoids and hides from them.  She is a sweet baby girl who loves to cuddle, give kisses, run after a ball and just be close to her person.  She is house trained but will need a fenced yard when let out to potty.   She doesn’t have recall to just come back in. Our sweet Sister Sybil might be shy at first but she is submissive being a beagle/bulldog breed with brindle leg stockings that are beautiful. She is one and a half year old weighing around 35 pounds. When she knows that you love her and she understands that you just want to be kind to her she will be all about you. She has a unique little underbite that gives her a special smile and She has gold splashes on her feet, legs and undercoat as though she was splashed with God’s special paint brush. Sister Sybil is a diamond with a wonderful soul and if you feel you have a home for her,  please do not hesitate to inquire with us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 3, 2023, 9:33 pm
