Story
Viola is a beautiful soul that we think is about 3 year old  and a Beagle mix girl. This black and white beauty with adorable speckled legs and a sweet She only weighs 20 lbs and has the sweetest smile and absolutely loves people. She was found as a stray that was taken to the shelter very scared and almost shutdown while there. Her human mother died and Viola is now 5 years old. Unfortunately we don’t really know her story, but we feel there is some trauma there in her past. It takes her a little bit to get used to people and even longer for dogs. She wants a safe place to observe (wire crate suggested)  till she figures it out. Her foster kept her behind a gate and her bed was her safe place. For a few days she would growl through the gate at the other dogs but after that it was over. We would leave the gate open and she would venture out and if she got nervous she would go back to her safe place. She is never ugly to the other dogs at her foster and  if one of the Chihuahuas was mean to her,  she just ignored her. We have her using puppy pads because there is  no fenced yard. Viola would definetly need a fenced yard so she can safely explore and have potty breaks. The outdoors makes her nervous still. She loves her people immensely and adores  kids but older ones are best.  If you want to help and REALLY rescue a dog them Viola would be forever indebted to you.    If you are interested please email at ccrtennessee@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMarch 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Jon is a sweet dog. He is 9 years old and has no joint problems at all. We have had him for over 3 years and got him from another family. We quickly found out that Jon has colitis of some sort. Jon has diarrhea once a week. We have found that a change in routine usually triggers it. We also want to be transparent and let people know that Jon has bit 3 people. The first time was when we found out he does not like lawn mowers. I was trying to start the mower and he jumped up and bit me. The second time, we were having a backyard party and someone stepped on his paw and he bit their leg. The third time was when 2 people were rough housing and he bit the male's leg. Jon loves his people and is very snuggly. I love him dearly but we are expecting our first child and are nervous about him and the baby. Jon would thrive in a home where there are no kids, it's calm, and there are no other dogs/cats.

Story
1 year old, 26 pounds Personality: goofy/funny, playful, smart, loyal, affectionate, snuggler, gentle, adaptable, and easygoing. If you’re searching for a lovable companion who simply wants to be near you, look no further than Nitro. This little guy is a certified cuddle enthusiast: If given the opportunity, he’ll crawl into your lap and make himself at home, content to sleep the day away with you as his bed. If you are on the couch he will come find you and sit down next to you. Don't let his size fool you; he's got a mighty snore and zero shame about stretching out and getting cozy. Nitro is a fast learner who already knows several words, including “touch,” “sit,” and “quiet.” He’s house trained and good on a leash, social with dogs and humans alike. He is getting accustomed to his crate and is working on his confidence when being left home alone. While he loves to have plenty of time to sniff on his walks, he is content to relax indoors as well. This eager-to-please guy is looking for a special human to give him all the love and snuggles he craves. Does that sound like you?
