Story
6 months, 18lbs Personality: goofy, affectionate, loyal, friendly, and playful. Meet Sophia, a happy-go-lucky puppy with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. She is always ready for fun, whether she’s wrestling a dog friend, chasing a toy, or soaking up attention from her people. Sophia absolutely adores humans and is happiest when she’s included in the fun. She can switch from playful puppy to professional couch potato within seconds. This special lady is everything you'd want in a companion - curious, outgoing, eager-to-learn and easy to redirect. She enjoys long walks, training sessions, playtime with her foster family’s dog, and then a much deserved a nap. Sophia loves people of all ages, including kids, and greets visitors with a whole body wiggle of excitement. She also gets along well with other dogs and cats and loves playmates of all kinds. Sophia is mastering the puppy basics. She knows the words “sit” and “wait”, walks nicely on the leash and is making good progress with housetraining. She is comfortable in her crate and often chooses to go in on her own for treats or play. If you’re looking for a fun-loving cuddlebug who will keep you smiling and shower you with love, Sophia is the one for you! Apply today to meet her. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. Story
(5 months, 11 lbs) Personality: Outgoing, playful, mischievous, and goofy/funny. A Rose by any other name would be as cute! Meet Rose, a playful puppy learning her place in the world. She’s as friendly as can be, and eager to learn and grow by your side. Rose likes running in the yard, chewing on bones, and tumbling around with new and old friends alike. After some fully engaged play, she will happily (and quietly) sleep in her crate to recoup some energy. Rose is very comfortable in her crate - whether overnight or for a break/nap - and has no accidents! She usually sleeps in her crate from 9 pm to 7 am. While she is not completely house trained yet, she is making great progress. Rose is social and loving with both dogs and humans - including children. If this lively, affectionate, special lady sounds like the pup for you, apply today to meet Rose! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. Story
~6 months old, 18 lbs Personality: energetic, affectionate, playful, goofy/funny, and snuggler. Dorothy is a young pup who is already living her best chaotic life. She greets every new person with a couple of "who ARE you and I love you" barks that dissolve into a full body wiggle, snuggles, and an immediate demand for belly rubs, because introductions are for people who don't already know they're going to be best friends. She's whip smart and already knows "sit" and "down," answers to her name like a champ, and treats house training like a fun ongoing science experiment (translation: still a work in progress, but she's getting there). Give Dorothy a toy instead of your shoe and she'll take the trade every time, no hard feelings. She thinks kids and other dogs are the best invention humanity ever came up with and is actively polishing her on leash manners with pups she hasn't met yet. Nighttime crate life is a total non-issue; she sleeps straight through with zero accidents. This bouncy, snuggly little menace is going to flip your whole world upside down in the best way. Apply today to meet Dorothy! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC.
