Story
It seems the world's in such chaos and desperation and obviously the animals are suffering greatly. This girl named Dixie has hair loss only due to the huge flea infestation that she came to a vet's office with as she was left in a crammed crate too small for her and 4 other dogs.  There they sat in the heat of August and full of fleas and miserable and not able to move because they were sitting on top of each other. They had belong to an elderly woman that was going to a nursing home and her son who would cared for the dogs for a short time had obviously not done his job. He dropped them off on the front porch and left with just a little bit of an explanation on they need a home We can't keep them My mom's going into it nursing home and I can't take care of them. We're trying to take care of them as a responsible rescue group. I have taken two from the set of four and I need Foster homes for three others. What we know about these dogs is that they are sweet shy submissive kind and under the age of four. They're no larger than 26 lb or less. I just need to have foster homes it will help Critter Calvary take them in get them what they need quickly and find them good homes. They will be beauties once the hair grows back because they are already beautiful inside. Can you help can you help them feel love and safety and comfort and the promise that they'll have a far better life than they've been living. Write to us please today quickly they won't stay long. We don't have a magic wand but they won't stay long. People love beagles and they're the perfect size for a family that doesn't want a large dog and maybe has children that want to be loved by a very gentle kind and easygoing dog breed. Write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com mention where you live, city and state. We can work outside of Tennessee. with four other dogs. Thank you so much for considering a possible whisper in the ear from God to please step up and help.  We pay the bills and all you do is pay in time and love to a dog that you can foster. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 9, 2024, 5:10 pm

This sweet girl is call Emma and she is a precious soul that is 2 years old and just begging for a place to call her own.  He sweet original Mom has Lupus and it has become so radical that she could not care for Emma the past 6 months.  Critter Cavalry has a wonderful foster mom that stepped up to help take her in and care for Emma.  This girl is housebroken, crate trained and so welcoming to meeting new people.  She is a Beagle mix girl that definitely has the nose and the persistence to check out her environment when she meets you.  She is sort of snuggly but she is not needy at all.  She will sleep on  your bed and she will greet you in the morning with a wonderful yawn and stretch.  She is good with other dogs, cats and just a casual dog that is less than 2 years old and only 24 lbs.  She is a beauty that will demand not so much from you but could be a great running partner and loves the fenced yard that she has to explore right now.  This girl is smart, active and loving.  She is not a needy dog that has to have someone around all the time.  She will sleep at the foot of your bed and then stretch and engage the day as you wake in the morning.  She will crawl up the bed to your face and give kisses.  Sweet Emma Girl is ready for an active adopter who will take her out for excursions daily, walks or jogs or just experiencing the outdoors.   She is small but large in persona and love.  Won’t you consider Emma Girl?  please contact us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 9, 2024, 5:10 pm

Story
Woof! Hey there, I’m Snoop, the ultimate canine companion you’ve been searching for! If you’re looking for a dog who’s as friendly as they come, well, you’ve hit the jackpot with me. First things first, let’s talk about my personality. I’m basically a walking ray of sunshine! Whether you’re young or young-at-heart, human or furry, I get along with everyone (although I don’t have much experience with cats and have not made up my mind about them). Seriously, put me in a room full of strangers, and I’ll make friends with every single one before you can say “fetch!” Now, let’s talk skills. I am a pro at “sit,” getting belly rubs, and cuddling on the couch for Netflix binges. I also am very calm and mild-mannered when waiting for my human to feed me. When I’m not charming the socks off everyone I meet, you’ll probably find me running around my backyard, sniffing and exploring, and chasing squirrels up trees. I love to take walks with my human around the block twice a day – my daily walk is my version of reading the newspaper! One thing I love maybe a little too much is my stuffed animals. Sometimes I get so carried away that I eat the fabric and try to eat the squeakers, which can be very dangerous for my intestinal system. So, I have to be supervised with my toys and only given stuffies that I won’t rip to shreds immediately! A long time ago, I hurt my leg and it caused both my knee and hip to be bad. Because of that, they had to remove it, but no worries, I have three others! I get around just fine for the most part (going down stairs sometimes can be a bit tricky) and don’t really miss it. So, what do you say? Ready to welcome a lovable goofball like me into your home? Come on down to meet me, Snoop, and let’s start our adventure together. I promise, your days will be brighter with a Snoop by your side! My Profile Age and weight: I'm 5 years old and weigh 28 pounds Good with kids: Yes, kids over 12 Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Fenced yard: Preferred Suitable for townhouse and/or apartment: Yes, as long as there aren't too many stairs House trained: Yes. Crate trained: Yes Barks when left alone: I’ll bark when you leave, but then I’ll settle down Chews inappropriate items: No Training: I know sit, but my foster mom says I need to work on other commands, like come when called Activity level: Medium Special needs: I'm a tripod, so have a little trouble going down stairs. Meet Me If you are interested in Snoop, consider letting us know by filling out a (no-obligation) adoption application at pgspca.org. Please consult our Adoption FAQ before contacting us. Please check the adoption-show-attendees page to see if Snoop will be attending the next adoption show. NOTE: We are an all volunteer group and do not operate a shelter. All of our animals are in foster homes. We are unable to place our animals outside of the Baltimore/DC area.

Story
Female, 10 years old, 28 lbs. Personality: smart, calm, quiet, curious, adaptable, easygoing, and gentle. Hi, I'm Sammy, a mellow and stately senior lady looking for love! Given my maturity and intellect, I have developed a calm and gentle demeanor that makes me your ideal companion. I love to go on walks, but I also know that some of the most important things are a good treat and a comfortable spot to get an ear scratch. I am great with humans of all ages, even toddlers. My quiet nature extends to home, where I rarely bark and will make myself comfortable in my crate. There's a lot to love about me, from the funny little zoomies I occasionally get, to my loyal nature. Not to mention that I know to go to "do my business" outside, and have figured out the word "sit". I hope you will apply to meet me. There is no need for me to put on my best behavior because I exhibit that all the time! I would love to go on a short date followed by a treat and a good ear scratch. Let's go! Sammy was saved by Madison and Joel Peralta in honor of Junebug, their beloved CDCK senior rescue, who epitomized the power of second chances. She loved, and is loved and missed in turn, very fiercely. If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
