Story
Meet Benji, a sweet and high-energy 2-year-old Beagle looking for his forever family! I originally stepped in to foster him temporarily when his previous owner could no longer keep him, but he’s now ready for a loving, permanent home. Benji is a total cuddle bug who adores people, giving affection, and being part of the action. He is already fully house-trained, making his transition into a new home smooth and easy.True to his Beagle roots, Benji has plenty of fun energy and thrives on play! He will do best in an active household that enjoys daily walks, backyard games, and outdoor adventures to keep his nose and paws happily busy. I believe he is up to date on all his shots, and he is ready to bring endless loyalty, joy, and love to a family who has time to give him the attention he deserves.

Story
This handsome fellow is good with people, but he has never learned how to play with other dogs. He’s walking well on a harness and leash. He loves going on walks (where he won't encounter other dogs) and he’s shown that he enjoys going for a swim in the water. Farley loves getting one-on-one attention. Due to his history (see below), he will never be a dog that can go to a dog park, but he would love a fenced backyard to run and play in. If you’d like to have a single dog to cuddle and have no cats in your home, Farley would be a perfect buddy for you. Farley spent nearly all his life at the end of a chain. He was attacked by an animal, perhaps a dog, and received terrible injuries on his neck. Due to his history, Farley is reactive around other dogs while on a leash. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MEET FARLEY, PLEASE SUBMIT A MYM FORM AND WE WILL ARRANGE A SPECIAL MEETING. FARLEY DOES NOT COME TO REGULAR ADOPTIONS. Gender:  Neutered Male DOB: Approx. 1/23/2019 Current size; 31 pounds   PLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Please see our adoption guidelines at  https://spcanova.org/about-us/adoption-policies/. March 8, 2026, 9:55 am
