Story
Tucker is a 3 year old beagle, about 35 lbs.  Hi, my name is Tucker and I'm ready to be your best friend!  I'm your typical sweet fun-loving beagle.  I don't remember much about my previous life other than that I was rescued from a Virginia shelter.   A little bit about me.....I'm a good boy!   I love everyone big and small, including other friendly dogs.   At night, I politely sleep on my large comfy dog bed that is only a few feet away from my foster hoomans.   Every morning, I greet my fosters with excited sneeze fits and a flurry of tail wags.  My fosters have commented on how good and gentle I am with their resident dogs and how I haven't had any "accidents" indoors.     I love going  out for a walk , riding in a car, playing fetch, and playing with my stuffed toys.  During my walks, you can always find me with my nose pressed against the grass or greeting the people (and dogs) on our path.  In the evening, I'm happy to curl up on the couch while the big people watch TV.    Although I love my foster hoomans, I'm eager to find a home of my own.  Ideally, I'd love a family who can give me lots of attention and affection.  I hope you'll take me for brisk walks and play fetch with me for a few minutes every day.  In turn, I promise to be your best friend and love  you for life!                                                                                                                                                                             ##2016375##

If you are interested in adopting this dog,  please fill out an Adoption Questionnaire at  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/43315/genericYou can learn about the adoption process http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/howtoadopt/.Dog's Name:   Archie  (ARC0821OWSMN)Estimated Breed:    Beagle/FeistApproximate Age:   6-7 yearsApproximate Weight:  45 lbs Currently Living at:  BoardingAdoption Fee:  $400DOG'S DESCRIPTION:  Hi, I'm Archie! Once, I lived in a crowded home, too many of us to count. It was a bit like being in a superhero comic, except I wasn't saving the world, just trying to survive. One day, a team of real-life superheroes came. They called themselves 'Animal Rescue'. They gently lifted me into a big van, and whisked me away to a place they called 'k9lifesavers'. It was scary at first, but I learned to trust these new friends. I still get anxious around other dogs, but I'm working on it. I'm sweet, friendly, and loyal, just waiting for my forever sidekick. Could that be you?  Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.        Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me! I'm Pup Sammy. I was found as a stray and brought to an overcrowded shelter in Georgia.  I came here with my pals, Olive and Hazel. Luckly, I landed in a foster home for now, and here's what my great foster mom says about me: "Sammy is a fun-loving, out-going basset, beagle, and hound mix.  He is a stunning puppy who is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly.  He is about five months old and around 30 lbs.  He is tall, but very lean.  Sammy loves to romp around the yard and play with a ball.  He enjoys falling asleep in your lap while you rub his belly.  Sammy seems to love bones and treats.  He loves his dry kibbles. He does well walking on his leash.  A fenced yard would be great for Sammyl, but is not a requirement as long as you have a long leash to allow him to run a bit each day.  He likes to be where the people are, but sleeps quietly in his kennel.  Sammy would do well as an only pet or with a doggie sibling.  He is learning how to play with others and we are working on his jumping up.  He just loves to let his people know how much he enjoys them.  He does not seem to mind his cat siblings. Sometimes he wants to play with them, but is not aggressive. He is doing well on potty training and only had two accidents. Sammy seems very smart and should be a fun puppy to work with." If I sound like your kinda guy, and you have time to train and socialize a puppy, submit an application today. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training.
