Story
Harley is turning 10 this June and has been a loyal, loving companion since we brought him home at just one year old. He is incredibly well-behaved, gentle, and truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll meet friendly with everyone, playful, affectionate, and very easy to care for. Harley thrives on connection and loves being near his people. A few months ago, we moved from a house to an apartment, and the transition has been difficult for him. With the increased surrounding noises, his separation anxiety has intensified, and he is no longer able to comfortably stay home alone unless crated. This has been a heartbreaking realization for us because he is such a great dog overall. He deserves a home environment where he can feel calm and secure. Harley would do best in a quieter space, ideally with someone who is home more often or has a house setting. He has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion in the right home.

Walter is part of the Western Litter of five (Walter, Winnie, Wayne, Wyatt and Waylon). Despite his tender age, he's already shown remarkable resilience, having triumphed over parvovirus (which can be fatal to puppies) and being rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama. Walter has enjoyed his time in the BIG puppy pile at his foster home, but he is now ready to find a forever home of his own. Could that be with you? He might be a tad shy, but don't let that fool you. Once he warms up to you, he's all about affection and cuddles. Walter is a social butterfly among his canine peers, always ready to engage in playful antics. In fact, being around other dogs has helped to build his confidence. He is a great candidate for a home with another dog or dogs. At Walter's young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization too. Adopting Walter would not just mean bringing a pet home. It would mean welcoming a brave, loving, sweet and loyal companion into your life. Give Walter the chance to fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of tail wags. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training.
