Story
Porthos is a 8 year old Beagle who is sweet but very scared - he has obviously been mistreated by humans, so we are going slowly with him to gain his trust. He will need compassionate and loving humans to help him get over his fear. HOWEVER - he loves, loves dogs. They are validating for him and he will need a home with dogs to loosen him up. He doesn't seem interested in cats, but does love dog friends! Porthos is hw-, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. **Extra bonus points if you get his name reference!** To adopt Porthos, please go to apply.neshamarescue.org

Story
Like her name, Lucinda could be the light at the end of your search for a new companion. Lucinda is an adult beagle, around 24 lbs that is looking for a family to live out the rest of her days being catered to with some regular meals, a comfy bed, and plenty of cuddle time. True to her upbringing, she loves good sniffing sessions during o utdoor time and speaks the language of her kind when she wants attention or a treat. Lucinda doesn’t mind being in a crate but prefers being closer to her favorites. This girl has a lot of pep in her step and will happily join you for a walk down the greenway to your favorite spots. She is super smart and gets along well with other dogs that she meets. Send in your adoption request for Lucinda! A bundle of laughs in a small package. *Weekend Host feedback: " Lucinda was gentle with all the humans and all the other animals she encountered. She met numerous other dogs in our neighborhood and got along easily with them all. She is a low-key girl but does get excited at the sight of squirrels. But she is an all-around sweetheart.Lucinda does very well on a leash. Like most beagles, she certainly lets her nose be her guide and wanders a bit. But she did not pull and seemed to look forward to her walks".

Story
This gentle soul is Mather, a beagle mix with a heart as big as his floppy ears. At just 13 pounds, he’s a bit on the slender side, but with the right love and care, he’s sure to fill out to his healthiest self. His striking black and gray coat gives him a distinguished look—almost like a wise old gentleman with a lifetime of stories to tell. Mather is shy at first, taking his time to warm up to new faces and surroundings and may do better in a home with other dogs and he finds confidence in companionship. But once he feels safe, his sweet and calm nature shines through. He’s the kind of pup who enjoys peaceful afternoons, soft belly rubs, and quiet companionship. He’s not one to demand attention, but he appreciates patient love from those who take the time to earn his trust. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will cherish your kindness and bring gentle warmth to your life, Mather might just be the perfect match. He’s ready to find his forever home where he can build confidence, gain a few healthy pounds, and finally feel like he belongs. Could that be with you?

Story
Liesel is the quintessential beagle mix! She has the "beagle" mix of brown, black and white fur, with an attentive tail to show her enthusiasm. She is very curious, does well on a leash, and is happy to be amongst so many new friends at the Funny Farm- dog and human! She loves attention and returns it with "puppy hugs" and big smiles! Liesel is an adult female weighing in at 25lbs, and would make a great companion for someone who loves to snuggle and go for long walks for "all the sniffs!" Come visit Liesel at Saving Grace soon - these big soft floppy ears and doggy smile guarantee her a forever home soon! *Weekend Host feedback: "She loves to lay on our bed. Loves zoomies, sweet kisses, does very well with kids and gentle even when a lot of kids surrounded her at her birthday party. She def would prefer to snuggle on the couch and your bed lol. But she does do well in her crate. I think she could snuggle in bed while you are there".
