Miss Quinnley may not have a themed name, but hers is special for a much more important reason. She was named after the amazing person who found her, cared for her, brought her to us, and did everything she could to make sure Quinnley got the help she needed. Quinnley is a 4-5 year old 17-pound Beagle mix who came to us severely emaciated. She has spent some time in our care gaining weight, getting stronger, and learning what it feels like to be safe and loved. After everything she has been through, we are so excited that she is finally ready to find the forever home she deserves. Quinnley is an absolute sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She loves to cuddle, follows you around just to be near you, and has yet to meet a person she doesn't like (including kids). She loves the car and is potty trained, which is just another bonus to this already very special girl. She has come such a long way, and now she's ready for a family to love her just as much as she'll love them. She would do best in a single-dog home as she is not a big fan of dogs in her face.  She is up to date on vaccines, spayed, and on heart worm prevention. She is heart worm positive, but has received treatment. Her adoption fee is $350.Our hospital is open for adoption visitation Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 5:00pm and Saturday's from 8:00am to 11:00am.  If you have any questions please feel free to call us at             919-266-8177 or email pets4adoption@bellsouth.net.  All adoption fees are cash or check only, we do not accept credit cards for adoption fees. To speed up the adoption process please visit our webiste, www.mmahrescue.org, to fill out an application and get pre-approved when you arrive to meet your new best friend!  Prior to meeting an adoptable animal we do require an approved application to be on file, sorry for this inconvenience.  Cat adoption fees are $50 for kittens under 16 weeks of age and $75 for kittens/cats over 16 weeks of age.  Dog adoption fees are $150 for puppies under 16 weeks of age and $175 for dogs over 16 weeks of age. *** AVAILABLE ON-SITE ONLY FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS *** Meet Granny Smith, a sweet, mature Beagle lady who is perfectly content to take life at her own pace. She’s wonderfully low-key and self-sufficient, with a tail that seems to be in a constant state of wagging. Most of the time, she’s so quiet and easygoing that you may forget she’s there—until mealtime, of course! Granny enjoys rotating through all the comfy beds in the house and does well at night, whether she’s sleeping in or out of her crate. She may be a little too mature for toys these days, but she loves having other dogs around and is perfectly happy to watch her foster siblings wrestle and play. She’d enjoy going for walks, but while she’s being treated for a lingering cough, her activity has been limited. That hasn’t stopped her from enjoying herself, though—she’s quite happy rolling around and doing her signature commando crawl in the backyard. Granny does have a soft Beagle bark when she thinks she’s being left behind or excluded from the pack. She also loves a good belly rub and, if you’re lucky, may even settle in for 5–10 minutes of cuddle time. She’s an easygoing girl who doesn’t ask for much and would love a quiet home where she can enjoy her comfy beds, canine companions, backyard adventures, and plenty of belly rubs.

Story
Dumpling is a 7-year-old Beagle who has been a beloved part of my family since I brought him home from a breeder at just 8 weeks old. He is a very smart, energetic, friendly, and loving dog. He is great with cats and children and has a calm and gentle personality as well. Dumpling is not destructive and does not chew on household items. He is outdoor potty trained and has been a well-behaved companion throughout his life. Unfortunately, I recently welcomed a newborn baby into my family. With the major changes and responsibilities that come with caring for a newborn, I am no longer able to give Dumpling the time, attention, and care that he deserves. This is an extremely difficult decision for me because I have had him since he was just 8 weeks old, and he has been an important part of my family for seven years. Dumpling is a wonderful dog with so much love to give. My biggest hope is that he can find a loving, safe, and caring home where he will be treated as part of the family.
