A good samaritan found this sweet girl, her four siblings, and their mama struggling to survive on the streets. Sadly, the puppies were exposed to the deadly parvovirus, but Lemmy is a resilient survivor who fought her way back to health. Now that her sisters have found their forever families, Lemmy is officially the last one waiting for her turn to go home.Lemmy has the softest, sweetest disposition you could imagine for one who had such a rough beginning. While she can initially be a bit bashful and shy, it only takes a few minutes of kindness and gentle reassurance for her to shift into full-body wiggles, delicate kisses, and wide, happy smiles. If one of her collected stuffy toys is nearby, she may even present you with a gift for your patience!Time spent in a loving foster home has done Lemmy well; she’s house- and crate-trained. She’s cat-friendly and has done well living with other dogs. She especially seems to have a soft spot for kids, perhaps seeing them as kindred spirits and playmates. Benny has been with us for almost a week now and he is definitely a precious one with the sweetest soul and the floppiest charm. He is 6 lbs now, he’s expected to grow to around 30 lbs, making him the perfect medium-sized companion for adventures and couch cuddles. He is very cuddly, playful, curious, and endlessly affectionate. Benny’s favorite place to be? Wherever you are. He loves hanging out in the same space as his person, soaking up attention, accepting all the belly rubs, and all the love he can get. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 His energy level is moderate — he enjoys playtime and exploring, but he’s equally happy curling up for a nap afterward. Benny is great with other people with introductions and we haven’t had a chance to introduce children into the mix yet but that is our goal for this coming week. KENNEL ID #18804 Meet Sweet Amber &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Amber came heartbreakingly close to losing her life at a high-kill animal control facility in Greeneville, TN. She was picked up as a stray with her puppy, and while her baby was adopted, Amber was sadly left behind and scheduled for euthanasia. Thankfully, A Voice for Pets Rescue learned of her situation and stepped in just in time—rescuing her on the very day she was set to be euthanized. Since then, Amber has proven to be an absolute gem. She gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes, is 100% crate-trained and house-broken, and is as sweet as they come. She also walks nicely on leash (with a little “power-steering” assist ). Amber is approximately 5 years old and fully vetted—spayed, heartworm-negative, dental, and up to date on all vaccinations. She looks like a Beagle/Boxer mix and is the perfect medium size at about 30–35 pounds Her foster admits she’s getting very attached (who wouldn’t?), because Amber truly is the perfect dog.
