This sweet little bundle of joy is approximately 9 weeks old and 5 lbs of pure personality. Ana may be tiny, but her spirit is BIG! She’s spunky, feisty, snuggly, playful, and incredibly smart. This clever girl is making great progress with potty training – she understands to go when she’s outside but hasn’t quite figured out how to ask to go out yet. Patience and encouragement will help her master this in no time. Ana is a total cuddle bug and a classic velcro dog – always wanting to be near her people. She sleeps well through the night and plays nicely with other dogs. She’s still learning how to walk on a leash but is giving it her all. And when she’s not getting her way? You might hear a little sassy bark! Ana will likely grow into a medium-sized dog with a big heart and even bigger personality. She would thrive in an active, loving home with patient humans who are excited to continue her training, play with her, and snuggle her close. Meet Scotty: the littlest beag with the biggest personality! He moves fast, plays rough, airs his grievances loudly, takes treats enthusiastically, and snuggles like it’s his full time job. Scotty’s favorite activities include chasing his foster siblings around the yard, lounging in the sun, bursting into the bounciest zoomies you’ll ever see, and curling up under a blanket after a long day of being adorable. He loves neck scratches, chew toys (current favorites include Benebones and puppy teething rings), and cozy corners to nap in. Scotty’s family will need to continue his potty, leash, and crate training. He would do best in a home without small children, as loud noises and quick action make him nervous. Scotty is approximately one year old, weighs about 20lb, is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly prevention. He is good with other dogs with appropriate introductions, and has not yet met any cats or children. Please note: Our beagles are former lab dogs. Before you apply, make sure you do your research and understand what that will mean when bringing them home (we're going to ask!). These dogs will need time, patience, and positive reinforcement while they learn to exist in our world. Applications will remain open until 6/28. We will review and process applications that seem like a good fit the week of 6/29 and will schedule virtual screens as an application is approved. We anticipate a high volume of applications, so please be patient as our all-volunteer team works through them. All of the above is subject to change as needed.

Elliott is a gentle soul. He loves snacks, tug toys, and chin scratches. Elliott is working through some anxiety about being outside and in unfamiliar spaces. He needs a family that is equally gentle and willing to move at his pace. Elliott is intelligent, curious, and playful at heart, and enjoys partaking in puppy antics (especially with his foster brothers) in spaces where he feels comfortable. Elliott would do best with another calm and confident dog in the home to help him blossom. His family will need to continue potty, crate, and leash training using positive reinforcement. Story
Alfie is a project. He is by far the most shut down and anxious out of all his foster siblings. He is looking for a VERY special family that is willing to put in the time and patience to ensure he learns that the world isn't scary at his own pace. Alfie is about 1.5 years old and weighs about 25lb. His family will need to be prepared to continue work on potty, leash, and crate training using positive reinforcement. Alfie gets along with other dogs with proper introductions, and hasn't yet met kids or cats. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and on monthly preventatives. Alfie's family must have a fully fenced, secure yard as he is a flight risk. They must also have at least one confident dog that can continue to show him the ropes. Kids must be over 12 and respectful. Loud noises and sudden movements spook him. Finally, his family must have experience with dogs like Alfie and be ready to discuss what his continued rehabilitation looks like. Please note: Our beagles are former lab dogs. Before you apply, make sure you do your research and understand what that will mean when bringing them home (we're going to ask!). These dogs will need time, patience, and positive reinforcement while they learn to exist in our world.
