Story
Animal Information: Bear is an estimated 6 months old (DOB 11/6/2025) male large mixed breed -- we could see boxer, rottie, bully breed, even some black mouth cur, ridgeback or shephered! Whatever he is, he is adorable, biddable and very smart. This little pup is confident, resilient, and takes everything in stride. He is social and playful with friendly dogs and respectful of grumpy dogs with strong boundaries. He eats in the crate, sleeps in the crate through the night, and has had no accidents in the crate: a great start! He's getting the hang of potty training and should be good to go with such a few days of consistency (he's a super quick learner!) He loves to play with toys, and especially likes tug! Promising toy drive, AND pack drive! Also, food motivated. A motivated owner's dream! He picked up "Sit" in about one minute, and happily follows a person around even without a leash! His most annoying quality is that he gets underfoot. He's not vocal or demanding, and while he loves to cuddle (after a vigorous play session) he doesn't exhibit separation anxiety. He is currently fostered with several large dogs and three young kids (ages 2-6) and he's super playful with them. He does have razor sharp puppy teeth and while he's learning the rules any kids would most certainly be scratched or nipped and so, while we won't say "NO KIDS" this will very much depend on the kids (and parents) comfort level with puppy behaviors. This experienced foster's educated opinion is that Bear has all the stuff to be a confident, social and friendly dog with other dogs and people; he has not been formally tested with cats but based on  his "look"  suspect that couuld be tricky. He's a really fun dog and is going to make someone a really nice buddy.  Animal Information: Bear is an estimated 6 month old (DOB 11/6/2025) male, large mixed-breed puppy. We see hints of boxer, rottie, bully breed, black mouth cur, ridgeback, or shepherd. Whatever the mix, he’s undeniably adorable, biddable, and very smart. Bear is confident, resilient, and takes new experiences in stride. He’s social and playful with friendly dogs and respectfully backs off from grumpy ones with clear boundaries. He’s off to a fantastic start with training: Bear eats and sleeps in his crate through the night with no accidents and is quickly picking up potty training with a little consistency. He loves toys - especially tug - and shows promising toy drive, strong pack drive, and he’s very food motivated (a trainer’s dream!). He learned “sit” in about a minute and happily follows his person around, even off leash; leash-training is going well, too! His most annoying quality? He tends to be underfoot (which can be stressful given how little he is compared to the other dogs in his foster home!) Even so, he’s not vocal or overly demanding and shows no signs of separation anxiety. Bear loves to play but crashes hard too. After a vigorous play session, he enjoys cuddling or snoozing four-legs-up in his crate. Bear is currently fostered with several large dogs and three young kids (ages 2-6) and is playful and friendly with them. Like all puppies, he has razor-sharp teeth and is still learning appropriate mouth manners, so placement with kids will depend on their (and their parents’) comfort level with normal puppy nips and scratches. He hasn’t been tested with cats, and given his possible breed mix, that may be a challenge. Overall, his foster believes Bear has all the ingredients to grow into a confident, social, friendly companion, and he’s going to make someone a really great buddy. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Bear was surrendered surrendered to our rescue by someone who had purchased on Craigslist two days earlier. We have been in communications with the Craigslist Seller and have some basic background on him. He is currently fostered in Bothell and available for adoption to the greater Seattle area.May 22, 2026, 7:52 pm

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Zelda – Your Snuggle Queen, Loyal Companion, & Total Ham! Zelda is a gorgeous 8-year-old, 75 lb Rottweiler/Lab mix with the softest coat, sweetest eyes, and an adorable smile that will melt your heart. This gentle, loving girl is the definition of a loyal best friend—she bonds deeply with her people and will happily follow you from couch cuddles to evening strolls. She melts right into her people, is a leaner, and is always wagging her tail! She’s an older gal looking to spend her golden years in comfort and love. Zelda adores soft dog beds, a good couch nap, and the occasional snack (she is very treat-motivated and already knows her basic commands). She’s fully house trained, has wonderful house manners, walks nicely on leash, rides well in the car, and even enjoys bath time. Zelda can be dog selective and would prefer to be the only pet in the home—your one and only, queen of the castle. She’s not a fit for homes with cats or other small animals. An ideal match would be someone with big dog experience who can give her the easygoing, love-filled life she deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, goofy companion who will bring warmth and joy to every day, Zelda is ready to be your girl. Zelda is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Honey! 🍯💕 Honey is a 7-year-old, 63-lb Rottweiler/Lab mix with a gentle heart and a sensitive soul. This sweet girl can be shy and a little skittish at first, but with patience and a calm environment, she begins to relax and show her friendly, affectionate side. Honey walks nicely on leash and likes to stay close to her person—sometimes a little too close! When she’s feeling nervous, she may walk right by your side or underfoot for reassurance. Because loud noises and busy environments can startle her, Honey would do best in a quiet suburban or rural home with less traffic and commotion. She’s looking for someone patient who can help her feel safe as she learns the world isn’t such a scary place. She has done well with other dogs in our care and would likely benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home to help her feel more secure and show her the ropes. She is gentle, food-motivated, and takes treats very softly, which will make training and confidence-building much easier. Honey’s ideal home: • A calm, quiet environment • Suburban or rural setting with low traffic and noise • A patient adopter who can help build her confidence • A friendly dog companion would be a big plus Honey has not yet been tested with cats or children. With time, patience, and love, this sweet girl has all the potential to blossom into a loyal and devoted companion Honey is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey! I was found when I was only 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted shortly after but returned due to being a snarky teenager and showing tenacity and energy common with my breeds. Training would have been key! Anyway, since coming back, I have spent almost *4.5 years* living on GDR's ranch property in Texas. I’ve been overlooked all this time and it’s time for that to change! I have now been in a foster home for ~8 months. It took some time to adjust to being indoors again but I have learned the wonders of ✨air conditioning✨. It also took time to adjust to “less dogs” but I‘m loving my newfound personal space. There are other dogs in my foster home but, at my age, I prefer dogs that match my low energy. I would even be fine as the only dog. Certainly no cats or other small animals for me! I still have a tinge of that independent/stubborn streak from my youth but, at the end of the day, I am a BIG LOVER! I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my foster mom. She gives the best hugs and back scratches, I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I shed A LOT! While living at the rescue, they took great care of me...too good, honestly. I put on a lot of weight but have now slimmed down some, too! I am eating less and getting joint supplements every day to continue working on my figure. I am a generally lazy guy but I am amazing on a leash and love to go on walks. More consistent exercise will help with my weight loss. I still have plenty of pep in my step (especially when I‘m on the hunt for squirrels) so don’t let my age or size fool you. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! I will melt your heart when you look into my caramel eyes and sweet, chocolatey soul. Don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

So, as you can see I am a BIG BIG GUY(130#)!!! Like the German Rotties, I have a BIG old HEAD and a propensity to protect my people....... I need just the right home, no other dogs please. I was not socialized with other dogs while growing up and am a big boy and so introducing to other dogs is a challenge for the rescuers and therefore we are looking for a single dog home. I am a very typical rottie and was kept as a protector of the property. I LOVE my people and honestly would love to be a lap dog, lol, but I also need a couple or single who is a strong leader, who really understands my breed and who will assure that I stay safe and others do as well. Now, I have a sweet and loving side, and my friends love that about me ;) But look at my face, without my toothy grin, and you know they understand that I am a serious guy :) I love my peeps and am ready for just the right place. I can only be adopted in TX and HAVE to be met and introduced and spend time with me before the rescue will approve my adoption. So only the strong need apply!! You will get an AMAZING and DEDICATED and EXTREMELY LOYAL DOG! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)

Story
Animal Information: Alfalfa is a handsome 2-year-old, 50-pound, male Doberman Pinscher mix with the sweetest presence to match his good looks. He was at risk at the Stanislaus shelter, and after seeing his notes and videos we knew we had to save him. According to staff, this sweetheart absolutely loves attention and is always happy to soak up affection from his people. He's patient in his kennel, easy to leash, and walks nicely on leash with only minor pulling. Once he's in the yard, his playful side shines -- get ready for some serious zoomies! Alfalfa enjoy being pet all over and is especially a fan of booty scratches. While he can be a little jumpy when excited, he listens well to "no" and "down", already knows how to sit and is eager to please. As a bonus, he's incredibly photogenic and always camera-ready! Foster Profile:   Alfalfa is a sweet boy with lots of love to give! He is energetic but not 'wild' and would make a great hiking or jogging buddy. He loves fetch in the yard, going on walks, and hanging out with his people getting pets and love. He is good in his crate, but can be vocal when left alone so we are not considering apartments for him at this time. He is potty trained, and rides well in the car. Alfalfa can be a bit mischievous, and is learning the ropes of being in a house, but with proper guidance we believe he will thrive. He is very food motivated and wants to please, making training good stimulation for him.  As Alfalfa has settled in he has demonstrated some leash reactivity as well as guardian breed behavior with new people, both are improving with the guidance of his committed fosters. He is great with other dogs off leash, big and small, and responds well to their c o rrections if they aren't up for his enthusiasm. Alfie is a smart, trainable guy, who will benefit from an owner with strong leadership skills and large breed experience. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Stanislaus shelter in Modesto, Calfornia  via START, arriving to foster care on 1/15 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.May 22, 2026, 7:52 pm

Story
Animal Information:  Meet Viola! She and her 3 sisters are 9 week old Dobie mix puppies who  will be joining us fron California on Sunday 04/05/2026.  Foster Profile: Viola is an amazing puppy with a big personality. It goes without saying that she is adorable, with the cutest little nub of a tail, eyes that stare into your soul, and some of the most gorgeous and unusual markings on her paws - tan socks with black marks running the length of each of her toes, almost like painted nails. She is a total sweetheart wants nothing more than to be wherever her people are. She is a big fan of other dogs, including her fosters' 100+lb mammoth who she climbs all over without hesitation, and would do well with a confident dog that doesn't mind her puppy energy. She is playful and a bit mischievous, and has decided that rocks are the most desirable finds in the world. After all, why else would the humans always be trying to steal them from her? But she is very responsive to direction and already demonstrates great bite inhibition for a puppy her age. Despite those razor sharp little puppy teeth, she is quite gentle when playing, taking treats, or having the aforementioned rocks removed from her mouth. She would be happy to play chase, tug of war, or fetch, or even just climb up into your lap to sit in the sun. And boy is she a talker! I never thought of that as a Dobie trait, but anytime you hang out near her, she lets out the cutest little huffy grumbles to make sure you know her opinion is known. But smarties tend to have a lot to say, and she is unusually bright. In the three days we've had her, she seems to have gotten the hang of potty training; she alerts when she needs to go out, does her business right away, and then plops down proudly for treats and praise. She has not had an accident indoors since her first night with her foster and is clearly eager to please. When she wants attention, she will often take a seat primly in front of you and stare up for direction. At this point, she has pretty much mastered the "sit" command, and she is so attuned to people that we think she will be a dream to train. This little wiggle butt is going to be big - she sports massive paws and sometimes even trips over them, but she's too rough and tumble to let it phase her. She is full of personality, love, and sass, and I suspect everyone who meets her is going to want to take her home. We are looking for a single family hone with a securely fenced yard for Viola. We are not considering apartments for her at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Story
Animal Information: Atlas, Morrigan, Nyx, Vesper and Raven are 10 week old purebred Dobermans with natural ears and tails. They were born in foster care in Modesto, and the shelter staff wanted to avoid putting them into a kennel enviornment, so they reached out to see if we could help. How could we say no? These puppies are healthy and social, and will be large breed dogs that would do best in homes with working breed experience, in single family residences with fenced yards.  Foster Profile:  Meet our adorable Doberman puppy Raven— the perfect mix of sweet, smart, and playful! This little one loves cuddles just as much as learning new tricks and already shows the loyal, loving personality Dobermans are known for. With a curious mind and a gentle heart, this pup is always ready for an adventure, or curling up beside you after a long day. Whether you’re looking for a future best friend, family companion, or intelligent training partner, this puppy is sure to steal your heart. We are looking for a home for her with  working breed experience, in single family residences with fenced yards. We will not be considering apartment homes at this time.
