Story
Hello there, I'm Ellee. My mom was full Belgian Malinois and my dad was half Golden Retriever and half Lab! I found myself at the shelter because my sister and I like to chase chickens. Life in the shelter is okay, but I dream of a home where I can show my sweet and friendly nature. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be best friends. I'm hoping for a patient person who will give me time to come out of my shell. I promise, I'm worth it. With a little love and patience, I know I can be the perfect companion. Adopt me and let's make beautiful memories together. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. No need to call to find out about me, you can ask questions on the application or email questions to info@polkcountyhumanesociety.org. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! ##2032132##

Story
Hutla, smaller malinois mix, 48 lb, female, spayed, 1 yoHutla is a beutiful, sweet, waggy, happy girl. She looks like a very smll hepherd, she is young, playful,  obedient and trainabl.  She was abandoned in the fields and showed up one night at someone's farm with her mom Ursa. Needs to be guided gently, with the patience with her sometimes puppy-like behaviors.. All she wants is to be loved and appreciated. She is rather friendly and submissive with the other dogs, but gets nervous at first and needs proper introduction. Better with the male dogs. Good on a leash. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at https://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.com      July 20, 2024, 12:07 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Arkansas, and I'm a beautiful six month old Malinois who was transferred from a shelter where I was surrendered by my former owners because I was too much for them to handle. I've been living in a foster home with some other GSDs and my foster mom says I can get over-stimulated with smaller dogs. I've done well with the adult GSDs, but I do play roughly with them. I will need an experienced adopter who will provide me with the mental and physical stimulation that my breed requires. I am very people friendly! I do still need work on house training and leash work. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. My adoption fee is $550.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. We are cross-posting Arlo, who is with All Mixed Up Rescue. He is just short of being two years old and he is on the hunt for his forever home. Since he is a Belgian Malinois, adopters must be familiar with the breed and have experience in working with and training them. Arlo is a sweet boy who lives people but requires a strong handler to keep is attention. He loves to train and learn new tricks, especially when treats are involved. He walks great on leash and will heel when given the command. He would do best as an only dog. He also needs a home without young childrenbecause they cause him to be stressed with their energy. He does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small critters. Arlo completed a training program, so he knows his commands. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in this special boy, please submit your application to https://allmixedupdogrescue.org/adopt/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
