Story
Hutla, smaller malinois mix, 48 lb, female, spayed, 1 yoHutla is a beutiful, sweet, waggy, happy girl. She looks like a very smll hepherd, she is young, playful,  obedient and trainabl.  She was abandoned in the fields and showed up one night at someone's farm with her mom Ursa. Needs to be guided gently, with the patience with her sometimes puppy-like behaviors.. All she wants is to be loved and appreciated. She is rather friendly and submissive with the other dogs, but gets nervous at first and needs proper introduction. Better with the male dogs. Good on a leash. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at https://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.com      July 20, 2024, 12:07 pm

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Arkansas, and I'm a beautiful six month old Malinois who was transferred from a shelter where I was surrendered by my former owners because I was too much for them to handle. I've been living in a foster home with some other GSDs and my foster mom says I can get over-stimulated with smaller dogs. I've done well with the adult GSDs, but I do play roughly with them. I will need an experienced adopter who will provide me with the mental and physical stimulation that my breed requires. I am very people friendly! I do still need work on house training and leash work. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. My adoption fee is $550.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. We are cross-posting Arlo, who is with All Mixed Up Rescue. He is just short of being two years old and he is on the hunt for his forever home. Since he is a Belgian Malinois, adopters must be familiar with the breed and have experience in working with and training them. Arlo is a sweet boy who lives people but requires a strong handler to keep is attention. He loves to train and learn new tricks, especially when treats are involved. He walks great on leash and will heel when given the command. He would do best as an only dog. He also needs a home without young childrenbecause they cause him to be stressed with their energy. He does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small critters. Arlo completed a training program, so he knows his commands. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in this special boy, please submit your application to https://allmixedupdogrescue.org/adopt/Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Story
Hi! I'm Paul! I am a gorgeous, smart and curious Belgian Malinois puppy from Kansas. My mom and siblings were found in a river bed and rescued by some good samaritans. I am learning so quickly (because of my Belgian brain) and would do best in a home with an active family or someone that understands the Belgian Malinois breed. I am great with other dogs, love people and I am almost fully potty trained. I love to snuggle and am generally pretty laid back. Please let me love you! I promise I will love you more than anything!  ##2094459##

Meet Ranger! He is the sweetest boy and loves to be with other dogs. He’s already doing really well with potty training and has not gone #2 in the house yet! He loves to go on walks and doesn’t mind being in his crate when we are gone. Because Ranger's mom is a purebred Belgian Malinois, he is a very smart boy and will need a home that is familiar with the breed and ready to train him! He is SUPER smart and eager to please.  ##2095524##

Story
Hello there, I'm Ellee. My mom was full Belgian Malinois and my dad was half Golden Retriever and half Lab! I found myself at the shelter because my sister and I like to chase chickens. Life in the shelter is okay, but I dream of a home where I can show my sweet and friendly nature. I'm a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, we'll be best friends. I'm hoping for a patient person who will give me time to come out of my shell. I promise, I'm worth it. With a little love and patience, I know I can be the perfect companion. Adopt me and let's make beautiful memories together. If you're interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to request an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. No need to call to find out about me, you can ask questions on the application or email questions to info@polkcountyhumanesociety.org. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and Minneapolis, MN areas twice a month. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual and we will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veteinarian ($35). Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! ##2032132##

Story
Etta was left on the side of the road. She was seen as she and two others were dumped out of a car and left in the middle of no where. They waited for five days while people fed them until we picked them up. Now she lives with us and is learning all there is to learn about love and security. She is fine with cats and other dogs, though she has limits with playing and would probably prefer to be the only dog and enjoy napping and eating and sleeping and resting. She is relatively submissive and quickly listens to redirection. She lies right down on her side if she is told anything in a certain voice, and has definitely lived a lifetime already. This sweet girl would love someone who is around a lot and has time to give her. She is not overly active by any means and does enjoy sleeping and being calm. She has a lot of the shepherd disposition, in that she loves her person very much. She goes in to work in an office every day with her foster mom, and is learning so much at a fast pace. She will be your best friend forever.
