Story
Meet Kira, a spayed beauty born around November 2019. Initially thought to be a Shar-Pei mix, she’s a delightful blend of Black Lab and Malinois. With boundless energy, she’s the perfect running or long board partner! Despite her powerful physique, she’s a gentle lover, especially around treats and her 4lb Yorkie brother. Kira loves watching out the window and protecting the home during the day and cuddling up on the couch at night. She excels at fetch and greets everyone with enthusiasm. While she’s a bit cautious around babies and not super familiar with children, she’s always friendly with people. Just be prepared for her enthusiastic kisses!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. AdoptaGSD.org   Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Ribbit, and I am an adorable male Malidoodle (Malinois/Golden Doodle mix) with an approximate DOB of March 2023. I was transferred to FRGSR, along with my brother Chips, from a shelter where we arrived after our former owner dumped us. We are settling in at a foster home that we share with other dogs and we're having a blast! I'm more independent than my brother. I love meeting new people and other dogs. So far, we've done well with the cats and we don't go bonkers over the nearby penned chickens. I'm looking for an adopter who will continue with my socialization and training while providing me with a good dose of daily exercise. My adoption fee is $350.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, the animals you see may already be in an adoption process.   May 28, 2024, 11:32 am

When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Arkansas, and I'm a beautiful six month old Malinois who was transferred from a shelter where I was surrendered by my former owners because I was too much for them to handle. I've been living in a foster home with some other GSDs and my foster mom says I can get over-stimulated with smaller dogs. I've done well with the adult GSDs, but I do play roughly with them. I will need an experienced adopter who will provide me with the mental and physical stimulation that my breed requires. I am very people friendly! I do still need work on house training and leash work. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. My adoption fee is $550.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life. Hi, my name is Mila, and I'm a beautiful female Malinois puppy with an estimated DOB of 6/10/23, and I was transferred, along with my littermates, from a shelter that was tight on space. The shelter setting was overwhelming for all of us, and although we were friendly with staff, we didn't want to come out of our kennels. Since coming to FRGSR, we've been living in a boarding kennel while we wait for a foster slot to open up. The kennel staff and volunteers are doting on us, and we're enjoying all of the attention we're receiving. We're going to need obedience training and leash work. I don't have a typical Malinois high drive personality. I have a quieter, yet playful style. We recently attended a meet and greet event and we had lots of fun meeting new people and other dogs. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. My adoption fee is $450. Update: I'm now living in a foster home and my foster dad says I'm a highly intelligent dog with lots of energy and I need lots of training! Story
Hutla, smaller malinois mix, 48 lb, female, spayed, 1 yoHutla is a beutiful, sweet, waggy, happy girl. She looks like a very smll hepherd, she is young, playful,  obedient and trainabl.  She was abandoned in the fields and showed up one night at someone's farm with her mom Ursa. Needs to be guided gently, with the patience with her sometimes puppy-like behaviors.. All she wants is to be loved and appreciated. She is rather friendly and submissive with the other dogs, but gets nervous at first and needs proper introduction. Better with the male dogs. Good on a leash. Needs a fenced yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at https://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.com      May 15, 2024, 8:01 pm

Story
Tor aka Tornado was found on the streets by our friends in 2018. We decided to adopt him in Oct 2018 and we have been enjoying our companion Tor. We think he is about 7years of age with still a lot of life. He is a playful; loyal people dog more so than a dogs dog & will play fetch with you for hours. I would refer to Tor as a dog that enjoys to be worked and does best when he is taken out 2x per day. Tor has been well trained and loved for many a years. We would love for him to go to a home that has space like a yard for him to roam. We are very sad to have to make this decision. Unfortunately, due to us growing our family and moving out of state; we are unable to take our dog. If you are looking for a fun loving obedient dog or hike buddy Tor is your dog.
