🐾 Hello! I’m Sugar! 🐾 I’m a 3-year-old male Malinois mix with a sleek black coat. Weighing in at 35 kg, I’m a big, cool, and smart pup looking for my forever home! 🐶 My Story: I was rescued from a kill shelter just in time, and now I’m ready to find a loving family. I stayed in a foster home for a year, where I was friendly and had a good relationship with my foster mom. 🏡 My Personality: • I’m quite shy around strangers, but give me 3 days to a week, and I’ll become friendly. 🤗 • I like to greet other dogs, but I don’t always play with them. 🐕 • I’m generally friendly towards dogs my size or smaller. 🐾 • I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d react. 🐱 • I enjoy outdoor activities but also love to rest quietly afterward. 🌳 have plenty of walking experience and follow people well without pulling on the leash. 🚶‍♂️ • I don’t guard my food against people or other dogs. 🥣 • I’m a quiet boy and hardly ever bark. 🐾 • I’m calm when put in a kennel. 🏠 • I generally only do my business outside. 🚽 Important to Know: • It takes time for me to build a relationship with strangers, usually 1 to 2 weeks. 🕒 • I’m not food-motivated and don’t take snacks from strangers. 🍪 • I might seem unmannered or too aggressive with other dogs because I think I’m a small dog and try to play with them. 🐶 • Other dogs might be intimidated by my behavior because of my size. 🐕 Fun Fact: I’m very cool and smart, showing all the characteristics of a Malinois.🦴 If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and affectionate companion, I’m your guy! Animal Profile: Buttercup is a 3-year-old, 55 lb spayed female "Texas Brown Dog" who joined us from Texas on 7/15/22 as an unsure adolescent. We have worked diligently with her in training to improve her confidence so she can be successful in her forever home. Foster Update: This young and energetic girl will do anything for a treat and very much wants to please her humans. She is building confidence; however, her anxious energy translates to reactivity at times. Off-leash she greets humans with excitement or indifference both in the house and the yard. She is doing well with the three large resident male dogs in the house after structured integration. She can play all day and has benefited from dog companions who can gently correct and/or join in her exuberance, as well as lead her in confident appropriate behaviors. She is potty trained and crate trained and often goes into her crate on her own to relax. While in foster care, Buttercup has received training from Bulletproof Balanced Training; her adopter will receive a private take-home training session. This girl is destined to be a wonderful loving member of her forever pack. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Adoptable Junnie! Junnie is a 2 1/2-year-old, Malinois mix who is looking for his forever home! Junnie is a happy and sweet boy and loves to play and be active! He will require a very active family that has experience with working breeds. He would make a great running/ hiking partner and LOVES to play fetch. He needs to be mentally and physically stimulated so he would also do great with agility, games and nose work. Junnie is still learning how to socialize with other dogs and can be reactive and mouthy, as Malinois are, with other dogs. He needs to be the only dog in the home but with training and support could be fine around other dogs out and about. He will require a home with a fenced yard, no apartments. Junnie is not tested with kids but since he still needs to catch up on training and can be jumpy, he would be best in a home with older kids or adults. No cats. Junnie is on the wait list to be neutered and will be neutered prior to adoption. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing this little angel, Lexi! She is a 1-year-old, 26lb Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Lexi looks like a mini–Belgian Malinois, and should not be growing any bigger than where she is at now, so she will remain a very manageable size! She is incredibly loving, sweet, and gets along great with everyone. Lexi is very smart and learns quickly, which will make training a breeze! Lexi has done well with other dogs in our care and would be a great additional dog to a home, or she would be fine as an only dog with continued socialization. She is looking for a person and family to call her own, as she will be a very loyal and loving companion to any lucky adopter that brings her home! We are looking for a standalone home with a fenced yard outside of the busy city. Lexi is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
