KAYCE NEEDS A RUNNING PARTNER Kayce needs a forever home. In the last few months he has lived in a boarding facility while waiting for his forever person to find him. Before that, for almost 2yrs he has been moved around in boarding, rescue and foster homes. He’s a wonderful, loyal, smart as can be boy looking for someone that can make a commitment to him. Beautiful big boy Kayce is about 4.5yrs old and he weighs approximately 80lbs. He is a very tall boy, and he’s very athletic so a running partner would be perfect! Lots of hiking, long walks and jogging will be ideal, too. Kayce is mixed with something that gives him a curly tail. We don’t know the mix, but we do know he loves people so a large breed, shepherd experienced, social home would be best. He gets excited when he meets new people and can be very exuberant in his wiggles so no small children, please. Kayce is very selective of his female playmates and he does not like male dogs so he should be the only animal in the home. No kitties for Kayce. He is house and crate trained so he can stay home alone for a reasonable amount of time. He’s also a quiet boy that likes to relax with his person after a fun day of exercise. He can be an independent guy so he will explore and self entertain when he’s outside in a 6ft securely fenced yard. He’ll let you know when he wants to come back in by standing at the back door so he can come in to get a treat and then relax for awhile. Remi is a 5-month-old spayed female, fully vaccinated. She's half Belgian Malinois, part Doberman Pinscher, with working shepherd and guardian mix. Remi needs an experienced owner familiar with high energy, herding, or shepherd breeds. Someone committed to positive, humane training with clear structure and consistent house rules. She's happy and engaged when meeting people and is comfortable being handled. She's still learning not to bring her mouth to skin. She's housebroken and working on indoor manners, including staying off furniture. She's not reactive to other dogs. Ideal home has no cats or small animals and no children under 5. Remi needs an owner who understands working breeds and is ready to continue her training and structure as she grows. ~DOB: 4/1/2021 Weight: 65 Pounds Energy level: Low - Moderate Overall drive: Low Location: Gilbert, AZ Jordan will single-handedly make sure you are never lonely again! This fella is going to be your second shadow #MyJobNowPeterPan. It does not matter where you go or what you do, he will always be there. Snuggling on the couch, lying at your feet, following you from room to room, just turn around, and he will be there. If Jordan were a human, he would make a living as a massage therapist, as he just wants to touch you all over all the time. #NotCreepyJustLoving Or he could be a bodyguard, but not a hands-on fight people off one, just one that escorts you everywhere you go. This guy would rather interact with his human more than a toy, but he will engage in play time via tug or fetch. Even though he is thought to be around 5yrs old and he has some sugaring on his muzzle; he still plays with toys and acts like a goofy puppy from time to time. One of his favorite play activities is “keep away” much like every other Malinois #MyToyLookButDontTouchButPleaseThrowForMe. During car rides, Jordan enjoys them and usually falls asleep depending on the length of the ride. He was pretty nervous during his vet’s office visit but held still with his foster’s guidance during his exams. He has zero reactions to loud noises such as thunder. One thing he loves is a good walk in the park; during his walks, he has ignored other dogs, birds, and ducks, but bunnies, bikes, and skateboards definitely spark some interest. His foster says that one of the things that Jordan does that makes them laugh is that he plays with his toys while lying on his back and holding them between his paws. Since Jordan has been in foster care, he has mastered some skills such as snuggling and playing with other dogs. #NotMuchButHonestWork Some additional commands and skills he is working on are Sit, Come, Wait, Down, and Drop it. He is crate trained but does not settle quickly; sometimes he spins and barks, but the progress to quell this has been great as of lately. Jordan is not destructive in the house and has decent manners to show as well; he is improving on his confidence around strangers. The biggest thing he needs some work on is not pulling on the leash during walks, but a slight correction goes a long way with Jordan as he is sensitive to correction. Jordan is looking for his forever home that could range from calm to busy; a home without a lot of strangers visiting is probably best until his confidence improves. He does love playing with other dogs, so another playmate would be nice but not required; also, he would probably do well with older kids in the home. Since he does not have a lot of drive, there might not be any dog sports he would be interested in, but he would probably try them all once if you wanted. So, if you are looking for a sugar-snouted best friend, look no further than Jordan!
