Story
Duke is a 11 month Belgian Malinois male. Duke has many great qualities. He is super smart and is able to show great emotion. He’s proficiently learned many commands and does really well listening in public. He is crate trained and house trained. Though, he can be quite sneaky, but that is just part of his intelligence. He is very loving, he looks for attention and cuddles from those he trusts. Duke is able to trust easily due to being a gentle sensitive soul. When it comes to play time and going on a walk Duke is the first one out the door. He is incredibly trainable and food driven, which allows for a lot of great room and opportunity for him to learn many more commands that will help him reach his full potential.

Story
Hi! My name is Bobbin and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on 08/14/26.I weigh around 50 lbs at the moment but I am young and still growing I am considered a `large breed` dog.I am a very smart dog! At the shelter I am practicing how to `sit`.I am a puppy!! I will need to find a home where someone is available for me in these early days. It is important to be consistent with me and socialize me so I can have the best companionship with people and other animals. Puppies require patience because everything is brand new so I will need some TLC while I learn. I am not potty trained or crate training yet and teaching me those skills will help tremendously on a road to success! If you and your family are ready to fall in love my awesome self, please check me out!!I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home!I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy.My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with other large dogs. When meeting dogs in a new home, I would do best with a slow introduction.I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!

Story
Meet Kiara Kiara is a courtesy posting. If you are interested please apply and we will forward your application on to our rescue partner. Kiara’s story begins the way too many do — abandoned and left to fend for herself. When she was picked up after being dumped, one thing was immediately clear: she had been living with pain. She was scheduled to be spayed right away, and once she recovered, further evaluation began for a chronic limp that had been ongoing for over a month. Kiara tries so hard to power through it. She is weight-bearing, but only placing about 50–60% of her weight on her right front leg. After sedation and radiographs, the extent of the injury became clear. Kiara has significant trauma to her right elbow — likely 1–2 months old and possibly consistent with being hit by a car. Imaging revealed: • Elbow dislocation • Medial epicondyle fracture • Possible coronoid process fracture • Bone debris and arthritic changes The damage appears permanent. Surgical repair carries a guarded prognosis for restoring normal joint function. One option discussed was elbow fusion, which could reduce pain but would eliminate movement in that joint. If pain cannot be managed long term, amputation may ultimately provide her the best quality of life. Despite everything she has endured, Kiara is incredibly resilient. She doesn’t complain. She doesn’t give up. She just keeps trying to be a dog. Because of the complexity of her injury, several rescues have declined to take her on. But she deserves a chance — not just to survive, but to live comfortably and safely without chronic pain. She will be evaluated again next week to determine the best path forward. If amputation is recommended as the option that gives her the greatest quality of life, we will move forward and raise the funds needed to give her that chance. Kiara did not choose what happened to her. But we can choose what happens next. Stay tuned as we advocate for this brave girl and work to give her the pain-free future she deserves.

Courtesy Post. Pearla is available for adoption through Northwest Rescue Collective. Please apply to meet this beautiful girl at www.NorthwestRescueCollective.com Adoption Fee $300 Meet Pearla! This beautiful girl is looking for an active family who can keep up with her playful personality and love for adventure. • Approximately 3.5 years old • House trained • Crate trained • Walks well on a leash • Knows her basic commands • Medium-high energy • Loves to run and play • Does well with other dogs but enjoys rough-and-tumble play, so she'd love a canine friend who can match her style • Best in a home without cats due to her high prey drive • Does well with older children, though her excitement can accidentally knock over little ones • Comfortable staying home while you're at work • Enjoys having a predictable daily routine Pearla is an athletic, intelligent girl who loves having room to stretch her legs. Whether she's going for a run, exploring a trail, or playing in the yard, she's happiest when she's active. She also has a hilarious fascination with the garden hose and could spend all day chasing the water if you let her! Pearla would thrive with an active family that will continue her training, give her plenty of exercise, and include her in life's adventures. If you're looking for a fun, loyal companion who's always ready to get outside and make memories, Pearla is ready to meet you!

Story
Harlow is a quiet, thoughtful German Shepherd Dog / Australian Shepherd mix with a sharp mind and plenty of athletic talent, born in January 2026. He’s good with cats, other dogs, and horses, sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, and is comfortable having his nails trimmed. Agile, playful, eager to learn, and ready to keep building confidence, Harlow could be a wonderful training partner, especially for someone interested in agility. Learn more at workingdogsnw.org.
