Story
Rocco is a 9 years old healthy, happy and strong dog. He's 55 lbs mixed breed, very fit, all vaccines up to date. We adopted him in 2017 from a shelter in Santa Cruz when he was a puppy. We are now looking for a person or family willing to adopt him. He's very friendly with people, not with other dogs, so he should be the only pet in the house. The ideal adopter should be someone who has already experience owning other dogs before. Rocco can stay at home alone the whole day, or in the car waiting for you doing grocery without any issue. He follows a few basic cues/prompts; he loves to travel by car; VERY food motivated, he loves cuddles, fetching balls and playing tug of war. He gets very affectionate with the owner and the whole family.We are not asking for money, we'd like to find the right fit for him.Let us know if you are interested.

Story
Bronx was adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HSSV) on April 23, 2023. He was 11 weeks old and weighed 9.20 lbs. and presumed to be a Border Collie Mix but staff was unsure what he was mixed with. Since his adoption he has completed the required Puppy Training course provided by HSSV while also receiving continued training by his family. Bronx is potty trained, knows the basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc..) but could benefit from more extensive and regular training and strong leadership from pack leader or family. Bronx loves to run, fetch and socialize with other dogs and people. He has been trained to be both on and off leash and responds to commands when off leash; but keep in mind he's still a puppy and sometimes gets distracted and may need commands repeated. Bronx also can get a little over excited when it comes to meeting other dogs and people and may jump on them or at them to greet them. This is something that will need continuous work to be corrected.

Kind, gentle, quietly attentive, she’s lays her freckled snout on a knee like a warm compress, receiving and giving comfort without a lot of fanfare. She’s a strong capable friend to other dogs and polite with all humans. A proud working dog, she also stands ready to be a loyal companion and playmate to a loving and reliable adopter. Adopt her for a lifelong master class in peace, love and understanding. Here's some notes from her foster: Confetti Sunset is a sweet, easygoing companion who loves following her humans and settling in for cozy naps. She is fully house-trained, handles stairs with ease, and is content snoozing while you work (she makes a brief fuss when you leave but settles within minutes). This happy girl loves being outdoors, especially rolling around in the grass to scratch her back. She is incredibly relaxed and remains unphased and simply curious when nearby dogs bark. Confetti Sunset has a great appetite, takes treats very gently, and is ready to find her forever home!

Since Obsidian has been at The Milo Foundation Sanctuary he has been able to learn some manners. He still shows sighs of being shy and nervous around strangers, but once he knows he can trust you Obsidian is a sweet loving boy. He does need to learn more manners along with some structure. Obsidian needs someone who will have time to spend with him and teach him. He would so best in a home with no children. Frida would do best in a home with low activity. She loves her adventures outside.. going on walks and hikes, but while in her home Frida would like it to be peaceful and low energy. She would do best with another dog in the home and no with no small children or small animals. Frida is a sweetheart, but she scares easily.
