Story
BEST WAY TO INQUIRE, EMAIL Adoptions@BAMMRESCUEPDX.ORG Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! ##2599337##

Story
Meet Django! A bright two-year-old mixed breed currently in Bend, OR, whose sleek black coat with white accents frames a thoughtful face always watching the world with curiosity. At about 50 pounds, this medium sized boy is a smart, active companion who builds deep bonds with his people and celebrates their return home like it is the best moment of the day! Django is the kind of dog who thrives when he has both connection and purpose. He loves to cuddle with the people he trusts, often leaning close for affection or curling up for a cozy nap near the fireplace. That sweet, affectionate side shines brightest once he feels comfortable and safe with his family. Adventure is equally important to him. Django absolutely loves toys of every kind! Balls, sticks, frisbees, and anything that can be tossed for a game of fetch quickly become his favorite treasures. He enjoys walks, runs, and even swimming, and he proudly carries a stick or ball during walks as if it is his special job for the day. His intelligence shows in how much he enjoys training and learning. Django already knows many cues including sit, stay, down, come, heel, place, leave it, drop it, no bark, and ok as a release cue. Practicing these skills with positive reinforcement helps keep his mind engaged and happy. Django does experience fear based reactivity in certain situations. He can feel uncertain around unfamiliar noises, unexpected distractions, or dogs encountered while walking on leash. Because of this, he requires thoughtful management when out in public and benefits from a predictable routine and continued behavior support with an experienced pet parent. He also has a history of resource guarding with another dog around food, toys, or personal space, and there was one minor nip incident involving an unfamiliar person. Meeting guests outside first and allowing him to warm up helps him feel secure. Django currently takes daily Fluoxetine to help manage anxiety. With structure, exercise, and patient guidance, he continues to grow in confidence! He would thrive in a quieter, child-free and cat-free home, likely as the only dog, with an active family who understands reactive dogs and enjoys training. Could Django be the thoughtful adventure partner you have been looking for? If you feel a connection with this loyal, playful boy and would like to learn more about welcoming him into your life, please reach out at adopt@joyfulpets.com! Story
f you're looking for a fun-loving sidekick who can keep up with your playful pup and melt into snuggles at night—Luna’s your girl. Luna is a four-year-old, 50-pound German Shepherd with a big heart and even bigger toy drive. She’s incredibly friendly, affectionate, and always up for a game of fetch or a good squeaky toy session. Luna has lived happily with both small and large dogs and would love a canine buddy to romp around with. This smart girl already knows how to sit, shake, lay down, drop her toys, and go into her crate. She’s potty trained, food motivated, and eager to learn—but she’s also not above a little counter surfing if snacks are left out (she says she’s working on it… but please don’t tempt her!). Luna is currently thriving in a foster home with other big dogs and teenaged kids. She’s more than ready to find a forever home where she can finally relax, bond deeply, and just be a dog. Note for Adopters: ✔ 4 years old, 50 lbs ✔ Potty trained + crate trained ✔ Great with other dogs (small + large) ✔ Good with teenage kids ✔ Food motivated—no snacks on counters please! ✔ Would thrive with continued training and structure

Story
Digby’s a 15 year old puppy. He’s got a massive heart in a small package. Despite his advanced age and occasional dexterous challenges, Digby can walk for hours and handles hikes with ease. He’s an absolute cuddle bug and massive sweetheart. He does struggle with separation anxiety, but this only manifests problematically on extended absences. If you do leave him for extended trips he will need to be boarded or sat since he’s used to spending his nights with people.
