Montana is an affectionate 4-year-old Lab/Pit mix who’s ready to be your loyal companion for life. This sweet girl is a fetch fanatic who lives for playtime and loves nothing more than chasing balls with her favorite humans. She’s both treat and toy motivated and ready to learn new tricks. Montana gets along fine with other dogs, but she’s truly a people-focused pup who wants to be your number-one play partner. On a recent Doggie Day Out adventure, she proved to be a calm car passenger and a wonderful trail companion. She enjoys sniffy walks and likes to lead the way without pulling on the leash. Though Montana can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly with patience (and a few tasty treats). Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys gentle petting and cuddle time with her friends. If you can toss a tennis ball, you’re already in her inner circle! Montana was placed on final because shelter life has become overwhelming for her. Repeated encounters with unfamiliar people reaching into her kennel have left her feeling uneasy, and she may growl or show her teeth to ask for space. I rescued Joon from a farm where he wasn’t well taken care of. He had ticks and fleas that I cleaned out by hand, and for the past five years he has been my best friend. Unfortunately, I recently left my home due to safety reasons and am now renting a room in a house. I have no family who is willing to take him and I just want him to find a new home that is safe and comfortable. He is super active and silly! He loves fetch and he is potty trained. He is good in the car and good with walks and overall just a great buddy.

Lana is full of love, she's very affectionate, playful, loves outdoors specially beaches and green hikes. She's hypoallergenic so she doesn't shed like normal dogs. She's very soft. She's super super intelligent and requires daily activity. not just a quick walk so if you cannot be active with her play with her like fetch or take her to the hikes or beach daily then this would be hard. Unless you have a backyard and kids and puppies to play with her during the day. border collies are very intelligent and playful dogs and poodles come as second.

Hi I'm Whoopie Cushion but my friends call me whoopie or whoops! Nice to meet you. I'm a sensitive gal-deep in my feelings. I'm around 7-8 years old and currently a tad overweight so working on my fitness. Goal weight is around 45 lbs. I would prefer to fly solo. Other dogs make me nervous but I could absolutely co exist with another easy going dog who will give me space-I do not like when they space invade me. I am house broken and crate trained. I LOVE my crate. I am smart-know some basic commands like sit and paw which is quite endearing I am told. wanna be best friends and couch potato it up? That's my jam! p.s. I need an adult only home. please note All of our dogs are in private foster homes. Once you fill out an application it will be screened by our volunteer adoption team. From there, if your application looks like a good fit for the particular dog, it will be sent to the foster where you can ask all the questions you would like and schedule a meet and greet. We do not transport our dogs. If you apply from out of state we do request you come to Los Angeles to meet us and fly home in cabin or drive. www.apurposefulrescue.org
