Story
Meet Benito – Your Happy-Go-Lucky Adventure Buddy! Basic Info: Name: Benito Breed: Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog Mix Sex: Male DOB: April 10, 2022 Weight: 46 lbs Intake Date: April 9, 2024 Personality – Happy, Playful & Full of Zest: Benito is pure sunshine on four paws! Always ready to play, explore, or lean in for a pet, he’s got an infectiously joyful personality that will keep a smile on your face. He loves interactive games, running around the yard, and getting belly rubs. Benito thrives on connection and fun—he’s a dog who wants to be in the middle of the action and part of the family. With him, every day is a new adventure. Breed Information: As a mix of Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog, Benito is naturally intelligent, alert, and active. These working breeds are known for their stamina, loyalty, and sharp minds. Benito will benefit from regular physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him balanced and happy. Puzzle toys, training sessions, and active play will help him shine. He’s eager to learn and eager to please! Owner Responsibilities: Provide daily exercise: walks, play, fetch, or dog sports Offer mental stimulation through training, puzzles, and games Use positive reinforcement training—Benito is smart and responsive Maintain regular veterinary care and vaccinations Ensure he’s part of the family, not left alone for long periods Provide structure, patience, and love Create a safe, indoor home environment Commitment for Life: Benito is not a short-term companion—he's a lifelong partner. Adopting him means committing to his care, well-being, and happiness for all of his days. He needs a family that understands that dogs are not disposable—they are forever. In return, Benito will give you loyalty, laughter, and love every single day. Do Not Leash Your Dog Outside Unattended: Benito should never be tied up or left outdoors alone. He needs companionship, safety, and interaction. Tethering a dog outside is not only dangerous but also deeply unfair to a social, intelligent dog like Benito. He deserves to be inside, where he can be close to his people and thrive. Why Adopt Benito? Because Benito brings joy wherever he goes. He’s playful without being overwhelming, smart without being stubborn, and affectionate without being clingy. He’s the perfect match for an active individual or family who wants a loyal sidekick with a big heart. Adopt Benito and experience the happiness of having a dog who truly loves life—and loves you.  Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting this wonderful dog, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles–based rescue dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at a loving home. Story
Meet Arnold ! LIVING WITH A DOG TRAINER, DOG AND CAT FRIENDLY! He is a goofy, wiggly boy who’s often on the move. Despite that, he also loves to lounge and cuddle up in the house. We believe he is a shepherd/husky/herding dog mix. He has herding dog tendencies, like gentle nipping at hands when he’s excited, but he’s quickly becoming more polite and respectful in the home. He also has the German shepherd loyalty! He would make a fantastic off leash hiking companion as he sticks very close by to his person. Exercise wise, Arnold needs 1-2 hours of activity a day. He loves to walk, run, play tug, bike ride, play with other dogs, and explore new places. He knows drop it, sit, down, and is learning recall. Arnold is shy with new people but is curious and generally neutral with strangers. He is getting a lot of healthy socialization with dogs and humans. He is also working on his crate training and learning to be okay on his own. He is very affectionate and bonds hard with his person! Arnold and Bria came from a hoarding situation in Texas, where there were 20 other dogs living in very difficult conditions. After being rescued, he had to fight hard at the start but today he’s healthy and ready for a forever home. All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and tick disease testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Indie is a silly, intelligent, energetic 4-year-old Border Collie/Pyrenese mix looking for a great home. Indie loves off leash adventures, laying near her person(s) at all times, meeting new people and playing (she’s a HUGE fan of tug and is becoming an avid fetcher!) She is a great roadtrip, camping, hiking/running and cuddle buddy; and would thrive in a home that is committed to her varied enrichment and exercise every day. Indie is crate trained, has a solid sit, down and recall and always loves learning. Indie is sensitive and eager to learn, with the occasional streak of stubborn independence. She would do best in a home without children or cats as she can be excitable and occasionally mouthy. This sweet girl can also be shy around dogs (but becoming more comfortable every day!) as she has a history of fear reactivity, but she is very food motivated which makes her easy to manage. Indie has been a gift to raise but I am no longer able to keep up with her needs due to health issues

Story
Oscar is an almost 2 year old Border Collie mix. Sadly, Oscar spent the majority of his life in a large shelter. He went in when he was about 10 weeks old and stayed there until he was a year and a half, when we were able to get him out. Since then he's been in a foster home. He was very very nervous when he first came in, and wanted nothing to do with new people. He was very gentle however and would just cower or hide when nervous. Since being in foster, he has come a very long way. He walks very well on leash with his trusted people, and doesn't seem scared of car/traffic noises. He is still very shy of new people, but once warmed up he's very sweet and offers tail wags, and likes to be pet. He is kennel trained and likes to go into his kennel as a safe space, and is very food motivated. He is potty trained and will potty on leash. Oscar will need. very patient and quiet home, with the understanding that he will take time to warm up but then will be a very sweet guy. We also recommend he go to a home with other dogs, since he absolutely loves all other dogs and will need a confident dog to show him that things are ok! Oscar is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

Story
Oliver is an approx. 10 month old border collie mix looking for his forever home. He was brought into a shelter in New Mexico by Animal Control, where he sat at the back of his kennel curled up and nervous for weeks. Immediately after coming up to Colorado, his personality came out. He is a goofy, sweet boy, with the most gorgeous merle coat and blue eyes, who loves playing with all other dogs, people, and has recently discovered toys! He is looking for a family who would like to bring him on adventures, show him the best parts of being a house dog, and give him lots of treats and snuggles. He is kennel trained and potty trained, and is learning to walk well on a leash. We will prioritize applicants with other dogs, since Oliver LOVES other dogs. Oliver is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $350. Story
Hi my name is Dixie! I am 8 years old, 45lbs, and a Spaniel mix. I was rescued from NM where I was set to be euthanized simply for taking up space. I made the journey here and am now looking for my forever people. I am a sweet girl and enjoy being around people. I would likely do best as the only pet in the home. I may do okay with another male pup around as long as he respects my boundaries. I am active and enjoy exploring, which would make me the perfect adventure or hiking partner. I do well on leash, am housetrained, crate trained, and am excited to find my forever people!
