Story
Murphy is a beautiful Border Collie with a huge heart and a deep desire to bond with his people. He is incredibly affectionate, loyal, and thrives on connection and routine. Once he trusts you, he is devoted and happiest when he is close by, whether that means following you from room to room, relaxing at your feet, or soaking up gentle attention. He does best in a home that understands working dogs and can provide structure, consistency, and mental stimulation. Murphy would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can soak up one on one attention and not have to share space or resources. He has struggled in the past with marking. He is sensitive and thrives in an environment that is calm, predictable, and routine oriented. Murphy has a few repetitive or self soothing behaviors that are best supported with routine, enrichment, and gentle guidance. Murphy would shine in a home that can offer patience, continued training, and a peaceful environment where he can feel secure.

Story
Fenrir, nicknamed Fen, is an almost 4 year old border collie mix. He’s a very dependent boy and will let you know when he needs attention. He’s very active and loves to play with everyone. I have never seen him show any aggression to other dogs or people. He tends to jump up onto people especially new faces. My hopes for his new home is for one with active family members and someone with more time to give him and more love than he knows what to do with.

Story
Meet Benito – Your Happy-Go-Lucky Adventure Buddy! Basic Info: Name: Benito Breed: Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog Mix Sex: Male DOB: April 10, 2022 Weight: 46 lbs Intake Date: April 9, 2024 Personality – Happy, Playful & Full of Zest: Benito is pure sunshine on four paws! Always ready to play, explore, or lean in for a pet, he’s got an infectiously joyful personality that will keep a smile on your face. He loves interactive games, running around the yard, and getting belly rubs. Benito thrives on connection and fun—he’s a dog who wants to be in the middle of the action and part of the family. With him, every day is a new adventure. Breed Information: As a mix of Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog, Benito is naturally intelligent, alert, and active. These working breeds are known for their stamina, loyalty, and sharp minds. Benito will benefit from regular physical exercise and mental stimulation to keep him balanced and happy. Puzzle toys, training sessions, and active play will help him shine. He’s eager to learn and eager to please! Owner Responsibilities: Provide daily exercise: walks, play, fetch, or dog sports Offer mental stimulation through training, puzzles, and games Use positive reinforcement training—Benito is smart and responsive Maintain regular veterinary care and vaccinations Ensure he’s part of the family, not left alone for long periods Provide structure, patience, and love Create a safe, indoor home environment Commitment for Life: Benito is not a short-term companion—he's a lifelong partner. Adopting him means committing to his care, well-being, and happiness for all of his days. He needs a family that understands that dogs are not disposable—they are forever. In return, Benito will give you loyalty, laughter, and love every single day. Do Not Leash Your Dog Outside Unattended: Benito should never be tied up or left outdoors alone. He needs companionship, safety, and interaction. Tethering a dog outside is not only dangerous but also deeply unfair to a social, intelligent dog like Benito. He deserves to be inside, where he can be close to his people and thrive. Why Adopt Benito? Because Benito brings joy wherever he goes. He’s playful without being overwhelming, smart without being stubborn, and affectionate without being clingy. He’s the perfect match for an active individual or family who wants a loyal sidekick with a big heart. Adopt Benito and experience the happiness of having a dog who truly loves life—and loves you. Story
Meet Arnold ! He is a young pup with a heart full of love and energy to spare. He’s a goofy, wiggly boy who is still very much a puppy, curious and always on the move. He has some classic herding dog tendencies, like gentle nipping at hands when he’s excited, but he’s learning how to be polite and respectful in the home. He is dog friendly! He’s a fast learner and will make an awesome companion for someone active and willing to give him a little guidance and consistency. He’s been very sweet with everyone he’s met so far, though he can be a bit shy at first. He loves physical pets and melts for belly scratches. Arnold and Bria came from a hoarding situation in Texas, where there were 20 other dogs living in very difficult conditions. After being rescued, he had to fight hard at the start but today he’s healthy and ready for a forever home. All POSO Dogs come with: - Spayed/Netuered - Basic Shots (age appropriate) - Fecal and tick disease testing - other medical concerns addressed before adoption - 2 Free one on one dog training sessions with a professional dog trainer - Training received in foster home - Basic things like some food, treats, leash and collar - PDFs of training material and local coupons and dog sitter recommendations

Story
Indie loves to snuggle, take long sniffy walks, and play. She is food motivated, crate trained and eager to please. Indie is 48 lbs of silly, sweet, friendly, occasionally anxious, and sometimes stubborn fluff who would love to meet you! She would do well in a home without young children as she can be excitable, but could love having another doggie friend in her life. She has been a gift to raise, but I am dealing with chronic health issues that have led me to be unable to provide Indie the consistent care that she deserves.

Story
Hi my name is Dixie! I am 8 years old, 45lbs, and a heeler/hound mix. I was rescued from NM where I was set to be euthanized simply for taking up space. I made the journey here and am now looking for my forever people. I am a sweet girl and enjoy being around people. I would likely do best as the only pet in the home. I may do okay with another male pup around as long as he respects my boundaries. I am active and enjoy exploring, which would make me the perfect adventure or hiking partner. I do well on leash, am housetrained, crate trained, and am excited to find my forever people!
