Story
Odi is a 5 month old border collie/heeler mix. He's weary of strangers at first, but after a bit he gets comfortable. His adopter needs to be ready to socialize and train Odi to be a confident dog. He's very playful and loving. Older children in the home would be best. ##2000768##

Story
Meet Mimzy! She is a sweet medium sized girl that adores other dogs! She even played with a small dog and is such a happy and smiley girl! She was surrendered to our rescue partner because her family were moving and couldn't take her with them. She's great on a leash and is a social butterfly! From her current foster: " Mimzy is a fun, loving & super playful girl! She is very easily self entertained and plays with toys by herself sometimes. She loves to cuddle and will curl up right next to you if you let her. She is a big fan of treats and loves to receive any form of praise. She is not the biggest fan of skateboards & bicycles or other fast moving things (people running by her) but can be calmed down and responds very well to positive reinforcement when these things approach. She loves her crate and will lay in it occasionally just to relax/calm down, she never barks when in the crate and always is excited to see us when we return. She is very social and loves all people so much, she is a little iffy when it comes to other dogs with a big personality but with some time she comes around and plays well. As a whole Mimzy is a sweet pup who just wants someone to play with her and love her! From her previous foster: "Mimzy is a super sweet energetic dog and she wants to be around people all the time! She loves her stuffed toys and can keep herself occupied for quite a while with them. We are working on leash manners and not pulling but she is making good progress and is very treat motivated. She does great in her crate and does not bark while she is in there! She is not a huge fan of bikes and skateboards while she is on walks, but is redirected fairly easily with treats and pets and is working on barking less at passing people." Please note that we are only able to finalize adoptions at events for approved adopters. The earlier you apply, the better as it takes time to review and approve applications. We host adoption events almost every Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at our rescue office (1721 W Harmony, unit 102, Fort Collins, Co 80526)! Party animal alert! Layla is here to bring the good time to any party with her fun loving energy, inviting personality, and silly antics! She's a fun loving girl and she enjoyed romping around with any dog that would play with her, she also loves to throw toys up and play with them too. This girl is even great on a leash so it seems someone has worked with basic cues with her as a pup. From her current foster: " Hello! My name is Layla and not to brag, but I am kind of perfect! I am the biggest snuggle bug ever and I become really attached to my humans. Men do make me a bit nervous, but as long as they're soft with me I warm right up! I have been doing better with potty training lately as well! I am always down for adventures, but when you want to relax I will relax with you. I will sleep with you all night long (sweetest sleeping partner ever!). I am really just a lover dog (we call her lovebug), who will overload you with kisses. - She really is the sweetest thing and will be the most perfect adventure buddy/life companion! Adopt Layla!! From her amazing previous foster: 'Here's some notes about her: -the best snuggler, loves to cuddle -loves to run, would appreciate a backyard -she wants a doggy friend so badly -knows sit -is initially little wary of new people but warms up quickly -treat motivated -crate trained -working on potty training, a regular schedule with encouragement outside helps! -"guards the fences in the backyard but I think really just wants to protect her people while also saying hi to a new person or dog lol -ALWAYS has a toy in her mouth, will greet you with a gift -loves sticks/bones -has such a soft, shiny coat -the little white tip at the end of her tail is so cute -Velcro dog, will follow you around the house -she'll need someone with structure and patience who will provide lots of mental and physical exercise since she's just a pup -she just wants to love and be loved! Story
Meet Minnie! This sweet gal is a social butterfly who loves attention. She found herself in need of a new forever home after being attacked by the neighbor's dog. :( Despite that, she did great with all dogs at our rescue partner! From her current foster: " Minnie is one of the best dogs I've ever met! She's so well behaved, incredibly sweet and calm, a little goofy and awkward sometimes and so smart! My favorite things she does is when she buries her head into you when she's cuddling, her tippy taps when she's excited, and when she paws at you for more pets. She can wiggle her way into anyone's heart and she will try! She's definitely a bit of a velcro dog but she still does well on her own. She likes playing tug of war and has the cutest zoomies. She has to potty every 2 hours (like clockwork) and will try to drag you on a walk every time you take her out so she'll do well in a house with a yard she can go out in with someone that can take her on long walks. I've fallen in love with her and I can't wait to get her in her forever home! From her previous foster: "Minnie is an absolute angel! She loves giving and getting all the love she can, and if she thinks you haven't pet her enough she'll be sure to let you know. She's very well behaved on walks, but we're working on not stopping in people's paths to force them to say hi. She's great with other dogs and absolutely loves people. She's not very high energy and hasn't shown any interest in toys but she loves going on nice long walks where she can sniff and explore. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle and she'll take any opportunity to crawl into your lap or lay on your chest." Previous shelter staff notes: Minnie is an absolute sweetheart and she loves to be around other dogs! She used to have a loving home to call her own, but the neighbor's dogs got into her yard and tried to attack her. For her own safety, her family made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her in hopes of her finding a new and improved life. Despite having a broken heart, she's very sweet, loving, and is waiting on YOU to give her a chance. She loves all dogs she's met and she avoids any conflict. She's very calm, well mannered, and easy going. She's great on a leash, seems potty trained, and enjoys hanging out in the pool. If you're looking for a dainty soul that's appreciative of any love she can get, Minnie is your girl! Her mature personality has won my heart and once you meet her, you will fall in love too! Story
If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Scout is the pup you want to have around! Scout at approximately 10 months old and 44 lbs is just naturally a lover. When he looks at you with those gorgeous blue and brown eyes and sweet smile, your heart just has to melt. Scout is a beautiful and sweet as can be Border Collie / Australian Cattle Dog mix with all the traits that make these super- smart and personality-plus dogs very popular and beloved breed mixes. Farfel's received a plea from Rescued Pets Movement in Houston to save Scout's life. He was scheduled for immediate euthanasia due to a lack of space. They described this gorgeous herding dog as wonderful, sweet and just about perfect in his temperament and general demeanor once he's comfortable in his environment. Scout is a cuddler and snuggler all the way! He loves to to cuddle close on the couch for TV watching, or just hanging out with his favorite people is just about perfect for this loyal best friend. An occasional kiss from Scout, once comfortable in his new home, is inevitable. He's a sensitive and very kind dog who derives so much joy from his time spent with his favorite people and doggy friends. Scout is a young, playful and silly pup who will love his family with all his heart. He also enjoys other gentle dogs to play with... and then lying together in the sunshine enjoying a beautiful day is perfect. Scout will have so much fun exploring, and taking long walks and hikes along Colorado's gorgeous paths and trails. Hiking and socializing with other hikers is right down this friendly and active guy's alley. He is always open to new activities with a never-ending positive attitude...just say the word and up Scout jumps for a car ride, a fun backyard game or just a sociable walk around the neighborhood. Scout's rescuer had the following to brag about this sweet guy: Scout is a very gentle and sweet pup! He's great with all dogs and humans, loves to play, is well mannered and very obedient! Scout is also great on a leash, loves other dogs, and he encourages others to play with him in a very positive way. Overall, A+ dog! 10/10 would recommend! Scout's foster bragged the following about Scout: This gorgeous and sweet as can be Border Collie is an extremely affectionate and loving dog once he becomes comfortable in his environment. We would love to see him in a home with a family (older kids preferred so there's no tail-pulling or awkward handling) or active retirees who have the time and love for a very loyal and sweet pup. We'd hate to see Scout left alone all day while his family works full-time outside of the home. He seems too sensitive for that type of arrangement. Scout will thrive on spending time near his people getting loved up periodically throughout the day. Farfel's Rescue would like to see Scout in a home where he'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of loving hugs. A virtual or in-person positive reinforcement group training class promotes great behavior, bonding and confidence for a young guy whose self-esteem will fly high while he masters his skills. Training is so important to the future behaviors of every dog. It's for this reason that we're unwilling to adopt Scout out to a family that doesn't make this loving choice. Farfel's is happy to provide a list of both in-person and virtual positive reinforcement / force- free trainers in your area. Scout will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and excellent nutrition (5 star food and a daily salmon oil supplement are great lifelong protocols for coat care and general health) to keep his coat cottony-soft, super-healthy and matte-free. Scout has been fully vetted, vaccinated and neutered to fulfill Farfel's commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs that won't contribute to the overpopulation crisis in the canine population. Scout will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Wednesday 5/1//2024. Applications are currently being accepted for this very sweet, loving and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit. **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Scout please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Aspen is a 3-month-old mixed rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. This dog is good with other dogs, cats, and children. This puppy is working on kennel training, housebreaking, and house etiquette. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home. The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals. We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!) Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed. Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525). For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned. Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
