Story
Jazzy is the kind of dog who brings energy and happiness into your life—without overwhelming it. She’s playful, friendly, and fun, but also has an independent side that makes her easy to live with. Her past isn’t pretty—but you’d never know it. Jazzy is social and confident, great with dogs of all sizes and cats, and naturally fits into whatever environment she’s in. She’ll happily join in on playtime, go on walks, or even randomly take a dip in the pond—then settle down like it’s no big deal. She’s affectionate without being clingy and has that ideal balance people are always looking for but rarely find. Good fit: someone who wants a fun, social dog that adds energy and joy to daily life without being overwhelming or demanding. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Alder is basically the dog version of an introvert. Quiet, gentle, low-key, and completely content doing his own thing, Alder is one of the easiest and lowest-maintenance dogs I have ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is around a year old and was originally labeled as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was younger and still looked like a generic puppy. But now that he is older, it is very obvious that he is not a pittie and instead looks much more like a Border Collie mix. Alder is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and also great with cats. He peacefully coexists with everyone but honestly doesn’t care much about joining the chaos or playing constantly. He prefers to quietly exist nearby and observe the world at his own pace. He is shy and hesitant with new people at first, but there is not an ounce of aggression in him. He is simply a soft, sensitive dog who takes a little time to feel comfortable. Once he settles in, Alder is incredibly easy to live with. He is not demanding, not hyper, not loud, and not needy. He is the type of dog who quietly becomes part of your daily life without bringing chaos into it. Good fit: someone looking for a calm, quiet, low-maintenance companion who does not need constant stimulation or activity to be happy. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. Story
Sweet, loyal 10 year old border collie mix in need of a new home. Rocky has lived in Boulder with his people for 10 years, since being adopted as a puppy. Sadly his parents have both gone into care and can no longer look after him. Rocky has up to date vaccinations, loves long walks and swims and is happy in the car. He gets mild separation anxiety and thunderstorm anxiety and sometimes nips ankles due to his herding instinct. He has never bitten. He gets along with neutered adult dogs but should not be loose around puppies or children. He is in need of an experienced dog owner who will help him lose some weight and enjoy his final years. Rocky knows basic commands and walks well on a leash. He’s a very loving, sweet dog who will adore his new owners.

Story
I adopted Maisie from the Boulder Humane Society in November, 2021. She was 3-4 months old and had been picked up in New Mexico. She was on medication for anxiety and I was told she should be homed with another older dog and kept away from children. I live in a condo with a small deck area and I am very active outdoors so I thought that would be helpful to her anxiety. She exhibited aggressive behavior towards kids, cyclists and runners along trails so I took for to High Drive Training and we did the full training and advanced training and I was trained in how to use and ecollar. We also did Grumpy Growler Training through the Boulder Humane Society. She has gotten aggressive towards other dogs while she is on leash but off leash she is fine. She is afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks. When she is near children and they make sudden moves she does get aggressive. I am moving to be near my grand children so I need to rehome her to someone that has a yard and another dog hopefully.

Story
Brody is a handsome, fun-loving guy that has enthusiasm for every activity he`s involved in! He is looking for an active home with kids over the age of 10 that can participate in his training and care. Brody adores the company of other dogs and would love to find a home with a resident pup that he can pal around with. Brody spent a bit of his formative age in a shelter, so he`s still learning his manners and he`s looking forward to finding a family that wants to help him learn. If you`re a hiker, a runner, a camper, or just enjoy being outdoors and spoiling a dog rotten, Brody can`t wait to meet you!

Story
Recently, our 9-month-old son was crawling past Marlin. Marlin gave a quick corrective nip/bite that unfortunately caught our son on the face. While it was clearly a boundary-setting response rather than a sustained or aggressive attack, it resulted in a facial injury. Given our son’s young age and mobility, we can no longer safely manage the household environment to prevent another incident. We feel strongly that Marlin deserves a home where he doesn't feel stressed by unpredictable infant behavior.
