Meet Ogallala, but everyone calls her Olga! This sweet, beautiful girl is a Border Collie Australian Shepherd mix with a gentle and silly heart that will make you smile. When she came to Soul Dog in 2021, she was shy and fearful, but thanks to her long term foster family, she has made amazing progress.Olga has gone from hiding in her favorite corner to relaxing on the sofa with her foster pack, greeting her family at the door, and even asking for affection. One of her favorite pastimes now is shouting out the window at people and dogs passing by. She really loves letting her voice be heard!While she has gained confidence, Olga still has a few fears. Loud noises, sudden banging, or busy sounds like kids playing basketball can startle her. When she is unsure, she may bolt and then settle in a safe spot. Story

Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Princess Tomboy here. As you know, we don’t get to pick our names and I am not a princess. Sure I’m petite and sweet with good manners but get me out there with the other dogs and I can hold my own with dogs twice my size. Speaking of that, I am in my Denver foster home with Tuuli, who is also available. She has become my best buddy. We would love to be together if that would be a possibility, but we also understand if it isn’t. You see I’m a confident little dog fully grown just over 20 pounds and Tuuli is closer to 45 pounds but for some reason she doesn’t understand how wonderful she is and she’s shy so she needs a confident buddy like me. Ok, more about me; I’m a happy playful girl with good recall, walk well on leash, I take treats gently and share with the other dogs, and while there are no children in the home, I have met some and seem to be fine with them. I definitely need a yard and another playful companion. I’m a little spitfire, I play hard and crash hard. I sleep through the night on the bed (OK so I’m a little spoiled already).
