My husband has had Luna since she was a puppy. She has been a wonderful dog to us. She is obsessed with fetch and her favorite word is “ball”. She loves to curl up on the couch or in bed with us. Unfortunately she has not been too keen on our twins. Since they are toddlers and only getting more handsy and rambunctious, she has gotten more and more anxious around them. She would thrive in a childless home where she is the only pet and can be given the attention she deserves. Her ideal day would involve lots of throwing the ball and/or going on walks ending in snuggling on the couch.

Story

Henry is about a year old and he is the best boy. He looks like a small great pyrenees but also like an all white border collie. His build and energy is definitely more border collie like. He looooves to play with other dogs and run and play in the water. He is outgoing and confident and very smart. He is also great with cats. He would do really well in active household that enjoys outdoor activities or on a farm where he gets to help with daily chores. Another playful dog in the home would be a bonus. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Meet Ogallala, but everyone calls her Olga! This sweet, beautiful girl is a Border Collie Australian Shepherd mix with a gentle and silly heart that will make you smile. When she came to Soul Dog in 2021, she was shy and fearful, but thanks to her long term foster family, she has made amazing progress.Olga has gone from hiding in her favorite corner to relaxing on the sofa with her foster pack, greeting her family at the door, and even asking for affection. One of her favorite pastimes now is shouting out the window at people and dogs passing by. She really loves letting her voice be heard!While she has gained confidence, Olga still has a few fears. Story

Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well.
