Story
We adopted our sweet boy from a humane shelter and later learned through DNA testing that he is 100% Border Collie. He has typical herding instincts but is on the lower-drive side for the breed. He is smart, eager to please, and loves playing ball, hiking, and training with his person. He knows basic commands including come, sit, and place, and is both house and crate trained. He can be skittish around small children, so we believe he would do best in a home without young kids. We also want to be transparent about his medical needs. He has an extra vertebra that causes some back pain. He is currently in physical therapy and takes medication to manage his discomfort. His ideal adopter will be willing and able to continue this level of care. He is a loving, intelligent dog who would thrive with someone who enjoys staying active, training, and building a strong bond with their dog.

Story
Oscar is an almost 2 year old Border Collie mix. Sadly, Oscar spent the majority of his life in a large shelter. He went in when he was about 10 weeks old and stayed there until he was a year and a half, when we were able to get him out. Since then he's been in a foster home. He was very very nervous when he first came in, and wanted nothing to do with new people. He was very gentle however and would just cower or hide when nervous. Since being in foster, he has come a very long way. He walks very well on leash with his trusted people, and doesn't seem scared of car/traffic noises. He is still very shy of new people, but once warmed up he's very sweet and offers tail wags, and likes to be pet. He is kennel trained and likes to go into his kennel as a safe space, and is very food motivated. He is potty trained and will potty on leash. Oscar will need. very patient and quiet home, with the understanding that he will take time to warm up but then will be a very sweet guy. We also recommend he go to a home with other dogs, since he absolutely loves all other dogs and will need a confident dog to show him that things are ok!Oscar is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.

All Aboard!!! Animal Rescue Passenger Fred Waiting for a Forever Home! ADOPTION FEE: $425 Meet Fred: This happy-go-lucky guy is ready for a full and adventurous life! Fred is looking for someone to be his ride or die, whether that's climbing mountains or cuddles. He'd thrive in a home that understands that being alone is scary for him. Like many rescue dogs, Fred struggles with separation anxiety and he would appreciate a family that is prepared to help him tackle his fear with kindness and patience. From Their Previous Shelter: (Wombat was renamed to Fred) Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/ACr7eAojAxk?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/VesBHVEzH34?feature=share Playgroup - https://youtube.com/shorts/gV55sTOz1n0?feature=share 🤎 Meet Wombat – the Pool-Loving Border Collie with the Biggest Smile! 🐾💦 Don't let the name fool you... Wombat may not dig burrows, but he will dig his way straight into your heart! This handsome 1-year-old Border Collie weighs 55 pounds and is the perfect combination of sweet, gentle, and goofy. With his striking tri-colored coat, soulful amber eyes, and smile that could light up an entire room, Wombat has all the makings of an unforgettable best friend. Wombat arrived at the shelter after being left in the overnight drop box as a stray, but he's ready to leave that chapter behind and start the adventure he's always deserved. While he can be a little polite when meeting new dogs, it doesn't take long before his tail starts wagging and he's handing out sweet little kisses to his new friends. He's a gentle soul who enjoys getting to know others at his own pace, and once he does, his happy, loving personality shines through. This charming boy is treat motivated (snacks are definitely the way to his heart!) and while toys don't impress him much, there's one thing he absolutely can't resist... A pool! Give Wombat a kiddie pool, and you'll have one happy dog. Whether he's splashing around to cool off or simply sitting in the water like he's enjoying a day at the spa, this sweet guy knows how to appreciate the simple things in life. Wombat also walks beautifully on leash and has a calm, easygoing personality that makes him a pleasure to spend time with. He's the kind of dog who would happily join you for a morning walk, a weekend hike, or an afternoon relaxing in the backyard before cooling off with a splash in the water. We think Wombat would absolutely thrive embracing Colorado life—exploring mountain trails, wandering through wildflower meadows, splashing in cool lakes and streams, and ending each adventure with a well-earned nap beside the people he loves. He's sweet. He's charming. He's gentle. And he's ready to trade shelter life for forever life. If you're searching for a loyal companion with a goofy smile, a kind heart, and a love for life's simple pleasures, Wombat is ready to be your new adventure buddy. Come meet this wonderful boy—you might just find the missing piece of your family. 🤎🏔️💦🐾 Interested in this furry companion? We are dedicated to making a difference by providing essential resources and compassionate care to enhance the quality of life for animals. As their voice, we advocate for their well-being by raising awareness about the shelter crisis, promoting responsible pet guardianship, and ensuring the compassionate treatment of all animals. *Our Vision* We envision a world where every animal is understood with empathy, treated with kindness and respect, and where the unique bond between humans and animals is cherished — enriching all lives. *Spay & Neuter is required by law in Colorado, helping to break the cycle of unwanted litters.* Please consider supporting our mission. Carmella is a beautiful, sensitive Border Collie searching for an experienced and compassionate person who will give her the time, structure and understanding she needs to shine. This brilliant girl has high energy, strong working-dog instincts and a genuine need for mental stimulation. She has even completed an official herding training program!
