Story
Chubby is the happiest boy on the block! This 2 year old, 60 lbs, fluff ball is a friend to all and a foe to none. He joined MHCR from a very small, underfunded shelter facing some tough decisions due to lack of space. Chubby hasn’t looked back since joining his foster home. He enjoys the soft beds, learned the doggie door, and has even acclimated quite well to his crate. Chubby is well-mannered in a home and walks well on a leash. Don’t miss this sweet pup! He is presently being treated for some skin irritation/allergies we suspect are from his time in the clink. Chubby is in foster in Mead, Colorado. *We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. * You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/chubby You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.

Story
Noel aka Pogo is the sweetest, happiest girl despite where she came from. Noel came into Soul Dog with a broken leg requiring amputation. Missing a front leg doesn't slow this girl down though! She loves to play with her dog friends and enjoys going for walks. There has never been a dog or person she hasn't liked or wanted to play with. Pogo is housetrained and does well on leash. She is an approximately 30lbs Border Collie mix.

Story
This sweet, beautiful girl is Ogallala but everyone calls her Olga. She came to Soul Dog in 2021 fearful and feral. Olga is still very fearful, a high-anxiety neurotic dog, but also very sweet and gentle and silly. For the first several months in her long-term foster home, Olga hid in her selected corner and only snuck around at night. Over time, she has gradually blossomed from cowering in the corner to relaxing on the sofa with the pack, greeting the family when they come home, and soliciting affection. Now instead of trying to hide, one of her favorite past-times is shouting out the window at people and dogs outside. Although she has gained a lot of confidence, Olga still has a lot of fears and triggers. She is terrified of people and loud sounds, and anything that sounds like banging. The sounds of roofers or even kids playing basketball will send her running. When she’s frightened or unsure, her instinct is to bolt, then hunker down and hide. She has come an unbelievably long way during her time with her foster and is starting to learn that some people and places aren't so bad. She needs a kind and understanding person to give her the patience, quiet, time, and love that she desperately needs. Since she has grown very comfortable in and accustomed to her foster home after all this time, ideally, she should have a gradual transition to her forever home to ease her fears and separation anxiety. She isin a foster home. If you’re interested in meeting her please submit an application on our website at www.souldog.org. Email adopt@souldog.org with any questions!

What’s not to like with delightful Pearl ? She’s adorable and has THE sweetest disposition ! She’s happiest in the company of another young dog : playing and wrestling ! She loves a long energetic walk and then she’s more than ready to hang out with you ! Her favorite place is exploring Open Space trails where she can run free - with perfect recall!! Pearl is treat driven and seems easy to train! Great in the car. She would do best in an active home with another playful dog her size.  If you're interested in meeting Pearl please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in her!) Story
Perfect dog for a patient family with time to work on house training. Pros: A very affectionate dog. He does not bite or have any aggressive behavior whatsoever. Loves to be pet, cuddled, and held. He absolutely loves car rides and pup cups from Dairy Queen. Does great on leash. He graduated from "Art of the Dog" Board and Train facility in Longmont. You get training support through them for the life of Crixus. Cons: He was previously surrendered, which we think might have something to do with how timid and scared he gets at any sign of aggression. He tends to let his bladder loose when he feels threatened, which can happen frequently. He also enjoys cat and dog poop. We have a baby now and don't have the time to keep cleaning his indoor 'accidents' or bathe him after. Art of the Dog was an expensive last ditch effort without fruition, and now we're out of time. Our baby will begin crawling here in a month or two and we would like to feel comfortable with them crawling on the floor.

Story
Peggy a very sweet girl, who loves nothing more than to play and be with you once she settles in! She is a bit shy at first but warms up fast and is full of cuddles, play and love once she gets to know you!!! She does great with other dogs in her foster home, is non reactive around cats, and is doing great with crate training. Since she is just a youngster still, she will need a family with lots of patience and willingness to work with puppy training to help him gain some confidence and skills needed to become the best canine citizen she can be!
