"She ran calling "WILD.....FIRE"!! That is a haunting song.... I promise, though..I am not a HAUNTER!! But I may love to run around and around and AROUND :) I am a puppy! I am so sweet and cuddly, when i finish running around ;) I have plenty of energy so you HAVE to be ready to burn it off with mental and physical exercise. I am SMART too! Teach me who you want me to be and I will learn! I was found with 4 siblings living (dumped) at the Home Depot...but it was a LUCKY BREAK, cause we were seen by the husband of a rescuer and we got SAVED! Now I am in my foster home and learning the "ropes" ;) Potty training is getting better every day, I mean our foster mom takes us out often for potty control and I am really working hard to wait for the next jaunt outside! I also am crate training too! I don't like to pee or poop where I sleep- as long as I don't eat right before bed and go outside as soon as I wake up I am doing great!! I seriously am ready for my family, I LOVE to play and am great with all dogs big, small, old or babies. AND i have one half BLUE EYE!! The better to see you with, my new family! :) ADOPT ME SOON!! Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Ruby is a bright, sparkling gem ready to be adopted! She is a unique black labrador/border collie mix, with high energy and a goofball personality, with a white stripe down her snout! She has a heart of gold with whipped cream on top :) Ruby was found with her friend Lucy, they were both left out in the country, luckily by a rescuer's home. She fed and worked with them for a couple of weeks before they were able to get into the rescue and the rest is a BIG FUTURE!! Ruby LOVES to play tug of war with her friends all the time and I really would be best with another calm and confident dog to help keep her busy and tired. She is best in an outgoing, outdoor loving family, maybe YOURS??? Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) Oreo is a sweet senior whose tail never stops wagging. Unfortunately, Oreo doesn't see well so until she's familiar with a space she bumps into things but never gives up. She likes being outside & exploring a new place & will follow a voice around an open space. Oreo is a very gentle, calm girl who'll be a perfect addition to any home. She's house, crate & leash trained. She loves people & car rides. If you're that person who needs company on a leisurely walk around the block or a snuggly movie buddy Oreo is your girl. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there... I'm Dixie. I'm quite literally the best girl, according to the staff and volunteers here at the rescue. About me: I LOVE the water—I could swim all day! I'm fully potty and house trained, and I'll even let you know when I need to go outside by crying at the door. I walk nicely on a leash and absolutely love playing fetch (at least until my age catches up with me!). I get along wonderfully with other dogs, know my name, and have excellent recall. Here at the rescue, I even enjoy off-leash walks because I stay close and always come back when I'm called. I am a quiet, gentle soul looking for a forever home to call my own. While I may be a little older, I still enjoy playing with my toys and spending time with other dogs when the mood strikes. My journey here has been quite the adventure. During a big storm, the local fire department found me in the water and brought me to the rescue. They later realized they had actually been trying to catch me for months, believing I was a stray. But it turns out I wasn't always on my own. I once had a loving owner, but after he passed away, I was given away because his mother was no longer able to care for me due to her own health challenges. I'm already spayed, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested (positive for heartworm), and up to date on my ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. I am heartworm positive right now, but I’ve already started treatment. I’ve been on antibiotics and am going through the ProHeart 12 protocol approved by the American Heartworm Society. The good news is that with this treatment, I should test negative in about 8–10 months. My adoption fee is $250, and you can apply to adopt me at www.adoggie4you.org. I'm currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Please welcome this sweet girl to SAAP! Like many of the pups that we rescue, Pippy has been through a lot!! Pippy came to SAAP with her eight - one week old babies. Shortly after her arrival, we discovered she had coccidia, Giardia, worms AND parvo.  This meant that she had to go for treatment and stay at the vet’s office while we tried to bottle feed the puppies. Sadly, all the pups passed away as they had been exposed to parvo as well.  Pippy managed to survive the parvo - only to find out that she was also heartworm positive. So, she began treatment for that too which requires 30 days of crate rest to keep the heart rate down.  After everything she has been through, Pippy is now healthy and ready to find her very deserving furever home!! Approximately 50 pounds  potty trained Very gentle and submissive  LOVES attention  Pippy is not dog aggressive but she seems nervous and scared when other dogs get close to her.  July 26, 2026, 1:38 pm

The votes are IN and we ARE the WINNERS!! Found at the side of a country road (very common dumping ground, next to the railroad tracks), and saved by a wonderful "foster" and her husband and son and other doggy friends :) We started living like REAL loved puppies the day she saved us!! We are learning potty training and are crate trained experts!! We are leash training as well, but you have to understand.... we were never loved, never lived IN a home and NEVER had ANYONE CARE!!! So, potty trained or not, we are over the moon (and so is our foster mom). But now it is time to find our furever homes! We love and play very well together and would be ideal as a pair, but do NOT have to be adopted together. We need another calm and confident dog to keep us happy/played with and to teach us all we need to know about being loved pups :) We are gorgeous pups and our coats will accent your hair :) ADOPT...DON'T SHOP!!!
