Now, before we go any further into my story.... let me warn you...it contains heartache and then some puppies, and fear and even some hopelessness. We do go to the top of the mountain as well, so hold in for the wild ride of my life:) maybe you will get to be my happily ever after.... So I was born a poor border collie mixed pup, in the miserable heat, in a disgusting backyard. To a mama that could have been so beautiful, if she had been brushed and cared for.... Fast forward thru almost 4 YEARS of misery and puppies, we were saved!!! I was saved with 9 newborn puppies and my sister/daughter/ cousin, etccc Princess and HER 9 PUPPIES TOO! We landed safe and sound at the rescue! We are now gorgeous girls and all pups grown and adopted! Now its time for me!! I am a single gal, and really don't like other dogs in my business. I want to be the Queen of the house :D Adopt me and I will fill YOUR home with my love and devotion. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Ruby is a bright, sparkling gem ready to be adopted! She is a unique black labrador/border collie mix, with high energy and a goofball personality, with a white stripe down her snout! She has a heart of gold with whipped cream on top :) Ruby was found with her friend Lucy, they were both left out in the country, luckily by a rescuer's home. She fed and worked with them for a couple of weeks before they were able to get into the rescue and the rest is a BIG FUTURE!! Ruby LOVES to play tug of war with her friends all the time and I really would be best with another calm and confident dog to help keep her busy and tired. Oreo Cookies are da BEST cookies ever! And i are one of them :D So you now know all about me ;) Except the creamy center, which may explain why i am in a rescue looking for a furever home.. It isn't my fault ;( I mean, picture this..... there i was, minding my own business... and my mom and dad sit me down to tell me that they are getting a divorce :( And my mom, brother and I will be homeless soon :( :( what do you do??? I was lucky enough to find a rescue that was able to help me be safe and loved. (my mom and brother found a safe place too) Oreo is a sweet senior whose tail never stops wagging. Unfortunately, Oreo doesn't see well so until she's familiar with a space she bumps into things but never gives up. She likes being outside & exploring a new place & will follow a voice around an open space. Oreo is a very gentle, calm girl who'll be a perfect addition to any home. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there... I'm Dixie. I'm quite literally the best girl, according to the staff and volunteers here at the rescue. About me: I LOVE the water—I could swim all day! I'm fully potty and house trained, and I'll even let you know when I need to go outside by crying at the door. I walk nicely on a leash and absolutely love playing fetch (at least until my age catches up with me. I know my name, and have excellent recall. I seem to do okay with larger dogs, but smaller dogs I do not like.  I am a quiet, gentle soul looking for a forever home to call my own. While I may be a little older, I still enjoy playing with my toys and spending time with other dogs when the mood strikes. My journey here has been quite the adventure. During a big storm, the local fire department found me in the water and brought me to the rescue. They later realized they had actually been trying to catch me for months, believing I was a stray. But it turns out I wasn't always on my own. I once had a loving owner, but after he passed away, I was given away because his mother was no longer able to care for me due to her own health challenges. I'm already spayed, fully vaccinated, 4DX tested (positive for heartworm), and up to date on my ProHeart 12 and Bravecto. I am heartworm positive right now, but I’ve already started treatment. I’ve been on antibiotics and am going through the ProHeart 12 protocol approved by the American Heartworm Society. The good news is that with this treatment, I should test negative in about 8–10 months. My adoption fee is $250, and you can apply to adopt me at www.adoggie4you.org. I'm currently in Texas, but I can travel to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), and locations along the East Coast for an additional $250 transport fee. Space is a 9 month old medium size dog. She loves other dogs and has done well with cats. Space needs a special adopter that will give her time to realize people aren’t so scary. She has made a TON of progress at her foster home but is still very timid at times. She gets SO excited to see you after work but still only wants to be pet on her own terms. She will do best in a home with no children, another dog to help build her confidence, and her own yard, as she is not leash trained. She is very fearful of the leash, leading us to believe she may have had a traumatic experience involving a leash before coming to HART. This dog absolutely loves to be comfy. All she wants is a comfortable bed or to curl up by your feet on the couch. If you’re looking for a playmate for your dog that does not beg for constant attention or a friend to keep your dog busy while you’re at work, Space could be a great choice for you. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! I am awesome out and about, meeting new people and new friends :D I hope you will look into my eyes, the windows to my soul, and see the HOPE I have to find my own home again! The rescue is great because I got a second chance, but I REALLY want a home!! Local adoption only $300 (in TX)
